Hey there, the best option I've found now to reassert a Bobcat miner is to use the Nebra app. That's been my best solution when I've done it.
I didn't know you still have to use the old app. I now don't have enough funds since I changed wallet with the migration. I see the balance of 31HNT but it's in red. Does this mean I need to send money to this old wallet, I copy the address from that app?

Is there anyway I can factory reset my Bobcat miner 300 ?? I lost access after the migration to solona and I don’t have a 12 or 24 phrase password…my password is 15 words…I created a new wallet and tried to transfer and onboard…both failed…how can I get this bobcat 300 miner to work for me again??

Great video. wondering if you can help me. Is there any video instructions on step by step instructions on how to upgrade to the new network? I tried to sync with a bobber app and I just get this onboarding your hotspot and it's been doing that forever. And the old helium app when I try to sink my minor it gives me a message that hotspot already has an owner. Any suggestions?
Based on your last comment it sounds like you purchased this from another individual correct? If so, they have to transfer the miner over to you. Each miner is connected to a specific wallet and it's not as easy as changing who owns it via BT and then just telling it up upgrade/sync/connect to your WIFI, etc. If you purchased it from Bobcat themselves, you need to get on their Discord and find the link to submit a ticket to have them upgrade the OTA firmware version on it for you.

My Bobcat miner dont work anymore, after changing the location.
On Bobcat app, always the same message, « assert location prepaid », and after i’am stuck on the Onboard device. Tried this a lot of time.
Bobcat dont have support anymore (or I dont know how to get it, but zendesk is closed, and no reply to email…
I think I need to manually install a firmware update, but they are not available on the web.
Not a good product unfortunately.
Make sure you have the most recent OTA version (go to their Discord to get the most recent link to submit your miner for an update) and then make sure to use the Nebra app for changing the location.
Hello, I was wondering if you can help me. I’m setting up a brand new bobcat miner 300. The new hotspot shows in my helium wallet but its not connected to any network. I’ve been trying to set it up using bobber app, but it does not allow me to set up location.
You’ll need to do this in the Nebra app.
I have a Nebra didn’t know about the merge is it fair to say that they charge 40 dollars plus 10 for set up fee -- mine 10 is paid but I have no data says error contact Nebra but then I used helium app and it says to pay 40.00 for onboarding is this what it might be --thanks in advanced -- do all helium miners have pay that fee ???

In my honest opinion, no it’s not worth it anymore for the 300. They have changed the HNT/IOT rewards so much over the last few years that you barely get anything now. It was a great idea but they strayed so far from their original intent that I’d invest my money elsewhere if I were you. In terms of setup price… you’re going to pay the same price for EACH ONE. Plus, you’ll have to find a different location for each one. You can’t have 100 sitting in the same room.
How do we update it if we have old firmware?
good morning , i purchase a few bobcat miner 3 years ago . used one in 2021 no issues onboarding back then. sold that one. have another one that i just tried to use and cant onboard , already merged wallet on the app. but it wont see my miner during connection. on the bobber app it does see the miner but during connection i get a wait error try again message/... help any suggestions?

I always tell people, give it a day or two before making any drastic changes, after you've already set it up. In the last 2 weeks we've seen a massive decrease in IOT rewards because of the new HIP that got pushed out. Another issue that might be affecting you is your location, antenna and where you have it placed. There are a lot of good videos by VoskCoin and others who talk about this. Check those out as well!
how do i get SOL into the old app? doesn't work if no SOL is in the app.

Yes there’s a delay. I believe it took 24-48hrs to show up accurately. Unfortunately everything is delayed on the Helium network.
Why can I not see my miner on the helium app anymore?

How do you deposit funds to pay $10 fee?
I can't set up my Bobcat that had for a year and a half sitting in the box. Also, when I plug in a USB into it, it cannot read it on my computer. It's like if that OTG port is not activated in the back
Any changes need to be made by connecting via Bluetooth and using the Nebra or Bobber (Bobcat’s app) app.

Hi If I upgrade my antenna from 4dbi to 8dbi do I need to pay a fee to change the info or is changing the dbi info not necessary?
There's been a small fee in the past for me for changing the antenna dbi, but it's VERY small. The costly fee is when you want to reassert the location elsewhere.

I have set up bobcat 300 Hellium wallet long time ago, but due to circumstances i was not able to log on my miner for past year. Now i want o mine again and change its location, but while doing it with hellium wallet app i get message "Signature verification failed"

Ive been stuck on yellow for weeks. I bought new on ebay, never used. The software is 2021.07.22.0. I reached out to bobcat for software update but no response. I show no outbound or inbound and the miner shows as inactive on explorer. Suggestions? I habe no idea what to do now.
If you change your wifi do you need to assert your miner?
No you just need to update the WiFi info in the app while connected via BT to your miner.

This fee is normal for whenever you want to change locations. It’s steep in my opinion but I imagine they do that to limit people from constantly switching.

I have a bobcat that has a yellow light for like 5 months. It happened ever since about a month after the change to IOT coins. It is still turned on but nothing is happing it just has a yellow light. I can't figure out how to get the thing back on again. If you have any suggestion to give me a better direction I would appreciate it. I downloaded the Bobcat app also tried to follow steps to get the thing going and nothing. It gives me an error when I try to scan for the device. Anyway if you can offer any guidance it would be appreciated.

how long does it take to assert the location. my app stays on the white screen for a long time and still going.
It did that to me as well. I uninstalled the app, made sure my IOS on my phone was updated, redownloaded the app, reconnected my HNT wallet and then did it again. It took a good amount of time (3-10mins) for it to finally pop up for me. Makes no sense but it felt like forever.
Once you actually do get it processed and you pay the fee, it can take 1-2 days to actually see it processed on the app and updated.
I moved my bobcat 2 days ago and followed these steps however my location is shown out in the middle of the ocean along with hundreds of other miners. Would you have any idea as to why this is happening? I really don't want to spend the HNT again to try and re-assert its location just to have it not work again. Great video by the way. The company is a scam. They haven’t provided support in forever. They don’t update social media. The support link on their website is non functional. So thrilled I bought a $500 miner and now I can’t get it to work or even access my wallet.

Did you try the Helium app to update the WIFI? It worked for me no problem.
