Being a gentle bird, the smaller children like going to the coop and picking their favorite colored eggs for breakfast...good way to get them to eat a hearty breakfast. They named all the chickens and tried to take them in the house to play, lol. Thank you Steve for another great video.

Last year I got a new flock,
    All Easter eggers….
And this year I added golden laced Wyandotte chicks, all brown eggs.
    Total of 14 hens.
I love checking for eggs every day, and seeing the colourful bounty they leave for me….
I gotta say, I enjoy the heck out of those ladies….

Easter Eggers are awesome little birds!!! The only “problem” we ran across is they start laying a little later than most other breeds.

We just purchased 33 acres and we are starting our flock next month, your videos have helped us decide which breeds of chickens, ducks, turkeys and geese to add to our little mini farm. Thanks for all the great information.

Our blue egg-laying Easter Eggers bred to our Barred Rock rooster gave us green eggs - just confirming the info in the video. Very sweet birds who were pecked on by dominating birds, so they were a bit flighty.
