Character in movie: *Breathes* Cinema Summary: "Now that was a bad move. What I would have done was become an immortal being with the help of god to eliminate my need of oxygen and sustenance. Two birds, one stone."
There's a *big* difference between Death trying and failing to kill you, and Death stalling you so you can die how he planned. It's been hinted at several times throughout the series that Death may have *planned* for people to "escape" being killed so they can die at the proper time and place. Everything that wasn't the lawnmower shooting the rock like a projectile was simply Death delaying her so she can be at the right place at the right time when the lawnmower ran over the rock. In my opinion, by the time Alex dies, I can believe Death was getting desperate to kill him and Clear, but with the other movies having the "survivors" live until the "proper moment," I find it more believable that Alex was supposed to die to a loose brick to the face, Clear to a oxygen rich hospital room fireball, etc.
Whatever happened to the kill someone take their lifespan thing. FD 5 takes place before the first movie so the black coroner (whom I thought was death in physical form for the longest time) should have told the other survivors about this.
You're not wrong. But I think it's because they didn't come up with that new rule until the fifth movie. If you go back and watch 2, the cop and the teen girl never have their "cheating Death" moments. I'm not counting the teen girl's moment at the beginning of the movie cuz that's her avoiding the pile up in the first place. After that, the two never have a scene where they genuinely cheat Death after the first event while everyone else gets their scene and not a single person survives. I also think "new life" refers to a new soul being born and not a temporary death. BUT that's only the case *if* you genuinely cheat Death and live longer than he intended, which with him stalling the final deaths of certain people, it's hard to say whether or not they cheated Death or if he's allowing them to live until this child is born, then you get snuffed. I'm going to go with all final deaths are Death's intended way to take them just cuz it's less messy and seems more planned out like Death's deaths are. Same as "innocent" people interfering in dead people walking's deaths and vice versa. The boy in 2 was supposed to be pulled out of the way of the news van so he could get well done at the end. So, I think the teen girl and the cop haven't broke the chain, they're just either killed while we don't see them, or they haven't died of suspicious circumstances *yet* but they will. Sorry if I've repeated anything I've already said and that I've been rambling a bit. And I say the coroner either *is* Death or works for Death, putting the dominoes in place so the people he talks to and the people they affect can die at the proper place and time. OR if he's one that's survived a chain we never witnessed, I'm open to the idea that you can cheat Death and only *some* of the final deaths are planned while other's have to be improvised.
@@ianivie8175 Thomas and Kimberley (the two survivors from FD2) are dead, they were pulled into a wood chipper between FD2 and FD3. There’s a special feature on the DVD for FD3 that includes a news article about their deaths.

At first I was thinking the visions were from another helpful source trying to prevent death, but now I’ve convinced myself it’s just Death being bored and looking to spice it up after several millennia - makes it a bit darker but also funny lol

the frat boy's death absolutely traumatised me for years. i think i saw it somewhere when i was about 7, and i could not get back in a pool until i was 13. like, i was genuinely terrified i was gonna be sucked into the drain, and if i did go in a pool, id avoid the area of the drain or swim as fast as i could to get over it. usually ended up with me crying in the pool because i was so terrified. lol
Same with me, I first saw his death when I was around 7 or 8, and it absolutely traumatised me. Every time I went into a pool, I’d avoid the drain or I’d just hover in the shallow end away from anything that looked like a drain. It scared me so badly, I’m 15 now and it still fucks me up when I remember his death 😭
His death was actually more tame originally. His alternate death was him drowning and his side splits open, leaking blood. Still a scary death due to the drowning but thankfully it wasn't him getting turned inside out
I’m sure somebody would have noticed this right now so I’m probably an idiot to bring it up.. But here I go with my rudimentary knowledge of buoyancy and gravity.. Why couldn’t Hunt have just taken off his bathing suit? The suction was pulling him in not just the suit,I get that but if he could get off the suit and rotate he may have been able to shimmy out of the drains pull. Also wet bathing shorts are only going to add weight and density.
I like to imagine these movies just depict death, tired of just doing regular reaping, trying to pull off insane trick shots and then he just gets pissed when some psychic people interrupt his killstreak, so he hunts them down one by one
true, I also love it when he gets his revenge at the end of the movies by making the survivors think that they're fine before suddenly killing them all at once as a final "fuck you"
I love what he did to the girl at the end of part 3. It's beautifully evil and I rematch the entire movie just for that part. "You can't escape death." Love that.
Final Destination One: Best Tone Final Destination Two: Best Deaths Final Destination Three: Best Characters Final Destination Four exists I guess Final Destination Five: Best Story
To me, 1 and 3 had the best characters, 2 was a great sequel to the 1st one, 3 and 5 had the goriest kills (to me 3 has the best kills), 4 was a good filler I guess and 5 was a great prequel to everything
Something I've always wondered about these movies, where do the visions come from? It's not Death, it wants them to die. I wonder if this is a competition between Life and Death, and Life is the one feeding people information to save them from the traps Death is setting for them.
I kind of like these questions. I'm guessing the show doesn't actually have a fate. Instead death just takes that role. So death is preventable. The ability to see the future is given by a different force. Maybe like as you've said, life. Of course, it's also a bit strange since death has certain rules follow. It's death, and doesn't normally need to use weird contraptions, and an order to kill. It doesn't make sense for him to do that unless he's being restricted. It's kind of like a game, or a challenge. It would be unfair, and boring if he gave everyone suddenly death syndrome after all.
When I was 19 in was in a car with my friends and suddenly I had this strong feeling we were going to crash soon. I told my friends I was going to go to sleep so when we died I wouldn't be afraid. About 10 minutes later we were waiting at a light to turn left. We had threw little green arrow to turn and it was like 11 at night so there was only one other car. They were stopped at the light across from us. My friend started turning and all of a sudden the guy in the car across from us hit the gas hard and had enough space to gain some decent speed. My friend realized what was happening but it was definitely too late to get out of the way. He hit the breaks just in time. The car hit us in the front and totaled the car. Luckily we were all ok. But everyone was really freaked out that I had felt it coming somehow. My friend said he was able to act so quickly because he had already been thinking about what he'd do if we were going crash because of what I'd said. I think these movies ideas came from situations like that. With no explanation. No good reason for it. Just people having a feeling and that feeling saving them. In real life people get feelings. Of course in movies its dramatized to keep it interesting. But I just feel sure that these movies were drawn from reallife situations just like I had when I was 19.
I always imagine it's the Grim Reaper from Family Guy who finally says "alright, you know what? I'm trying to be clever here and make death interesting for you but no, fuck it have the truck."
One thing to remember is that just because you don't die from injuries immediately doesn't mean you won't die from them (or something else) later. The cowboy is evidence of that. He was injured badly enough to need to be in-patient but he wasn't "allowed" to die until it was his turn. Same thing with Eugene from the second movie. And being stuck in a hospital bed greatly limits your ability to rescue yourself or be rescued by others.
Right? "Someone should have shielded him from the falling tub." Aside from the fact that none of them knew that tub would fall and wouldn't be able to react fast enough, since it was falling through AS they came in the room... worst case scenario, you don't stop the person from dying, they just hit their head in your effort to protect them, BEST case scenario, someone (probably both of you honestly) ends up paralyzed. Then what are you going to do?
Well Death could have had a kid shoot a bird with a bb gun, making it drop a coin it was carrying, and ghe sunlight hit the coin in such a way the light blinded the driver of the truck, making the driver jerk the steering wheel, causing the truck to crash in the coffee shop.
Basically Final Destination -wood full off -wood hits gas -gas fall off -gas liquid hit lighter -lighter spark hit gas -gas turns fire -gas explode -everyone die -the end -repeat 1 to last
Hes death is damn brutal and sad. And its even more sad that it is just real. And For The People who wants too know whats hes character name is in the movie it is Hunt Wynorski.
They can’t add new people to their own list, different incidents have create different lists. In Final Destination 2, death tries to kill Clear multiple times amidst the deaths of the main cast, and survivor Rory saves another person from a runaway ambulance. When the last two survivors actually manage to break the cycle, the kid Rory saved died in another accident, even though it would’ve been one of the other survivors’ turn before his, so when Rory saved him, there were three death lists at the same time.
I like how he talks about how death is missing her in the salon even though the vision of her death didn’t just end with the fan meaning that the fan was never meant to kill her.
A big part of the death is the time. The rock would not have hit her if she wasn't stood at the specific place and the specific time. So it made her leave early/on a different time so she would get hit/killed.
y'know, the pool drain thing from this didn't used to bother me as a kid. until the day i got my toes caught in a pool drain- those things are STRONG, man.
Hunt could have survived if they had researched the previous premonitions/deaths properly. The pool/spa thing he is at is called Clear Rivers. Clear Rivers is also the name of the character who survived the first movie only to die while trying to help the characters in the second movie. That should have been a HUGE red flag to stay away.
@@jeremychristian7 No, it's definitely connected; they all are. That name could hardly be a coincidence. There are other things, too like a Hice Pale Ale van (a drink that appears in every one of the movies: Carter is drinking one before he died at the end of FD1; Kimberly see's a Hice Pale Ale van with the driver drink-driving before her premonition in FD2, plus Evan drinks one before he dies, etc etc). The Security Guard trying to kill himself and finding he can't is a reference to when one of the characters in FD2 does the same thing. That's actually a pretty cool concept for a new Final Destination movie. Someone who has cheated death multiple times and is actively saving other people to add them to the list. The movie has the survivors thinking they are a hero, but later learn they are just saving their own neck, they know they can't save all the people hunted after the vision but they can add more and more prey for death.
@@kittyoverlooord1300 i know this is from 2 months ago but i disagree because if the fan did kill her sure people think the rock would still fly tout to the left and kill her kids on accident but death can make it so either the lawnmower runs out of fuel and the man kicks the rock away to before coming back to refuel it or death can make it so the rock fly's to the right that time instead of left so the kids don't die
I never understood the Final Destination logic. Death is basically: Oh, so you're not going to die in this very painful way with a bunch of people. Instead, you're going to die in a very painful way, but all alone.
Everything death does is by design. That ceiling fan that fell? well that could have prompted the shop to hire a repair service which just happens to be where Jim works, Jim who would have normally stayed home that day drinking heavily which reduced his life enough to put him on track but that's how Jim WOULD have died if he hadn't watched the news about one of the people dying. Instead he stopped drinking, Death fixed it so he'd work that day and continue drinking. You see when 1 person avoids death it causes countless issues in the plan and death very elaborately adjusts to the mistake and plans out the lives of everyone not just the people that were affected.

I’m amazed the franchise lasted so long when the movies always ended exactly the same way. It’d be one thing if we had hope that the characters might actually cheat death this time but nope. Every time. They all die.

Best strategy is to handcuff yourself to a person as far away in the kill order as possible from you, and make sure you never go near any other people ever again. This way you ensure that neither you nor the person you’re handcuffed to can die because you can ensure it would kill you both, and by never being near any other people ever again you ensure it is impossible for everyone to die at once, meaning the only possible cause of death is natural causes and will simply happen due to getting older are you already would. It is impossible to be immortal, but you can be guaranteed to escape a gruesome death.
@@ianmartin1813 The issue is for most causes of death the other person can throw themself in the way making it impossible for one to die without the other to die. @@furryeradicator2567 In theory sure, but with the actual events of the movies people are always being saved from death, and often there seems to be a way to do it. So it would be unlikely that that would simply happen when every other time simply things like that get in the way of the plan.

I have a theory about that the protagonists in all the final destination movies all had a weird feeling before dying in the disaster. So god or life gives them a second chance to cheat death. However, it's seems the death wants everyone who died in the disaster to die in the order they were suppose to.
Sorry if I've repeated anything I've already said and that I've been rambling a bit.

the frat boy's death absolutely traumatised me for years. i think i saw it somewhere when i was about 7, and i could not get back in a pool until i was 13. like, i was genuinely terrified i was gonna be sucked into the drain, and if i did go in a pool, id avoid the area of the drain or swim as fast as i could to get over it. usually ended up with me crying in the pool because i was so terrified.
But then again this could not be realistic and just be moive magic for his death to make sense
His death was actually more tame originally. His alternate death was him drowning and his side splits open, leaking blood. Still a scary death due to the drowning but thankfully it wasn't him getting turned inside out

Something I've always wondered about these movies, where do the visions come from? It's not Death, it wants them to die. I wonder if this is a competition between Life and Death, and Life is the one feeding people information to save them from the traps Death is setting for them.
Amazing theory.. it seems pretty accurate too!
Life could just revive them then
I always figured it was Death sending the visons so they had an excuse to get creative.

Right? "Someone should have shielded him from the falling tub."
Aside from the fact that none of them knew that tub would fall and wouldn't be able to react fast enough, since it was falling through AS they came in the room... worst case scenario, you don't stop the person from dying, they just hit their head in your effort to protect them, BEST case scenario, someone (probably both of you honestly) ends up paralyzed. That’s a way cooler concept. I think there’s is better but since I’ve been down 1 million times yours would be a much cooler idea

I'm starting to think Final Destination is just death's version of doing trick shots with the office supplies when you're bored at work
The fact that these events actually has a chance to happen, and that they're more common than what people expect. Because no one thinks with a right mind in a panic situation.

@@Kyuubey0406obv not everything would real accurate and realistic. It does have a chance to happen as safety isnt always guaranteed. This is where the line of fiction and reality is.
@@Kyuubey0406 you're just singling out things that cannot happen or have a low chance of happening. Look at the others and tell me it doesnt happen. They're common.
7:50 even if you magically did this, you could still die for sure I think. Maybe the rocks collapse, shatters glass, in a daze you step on said glass, fall and break your head. Or the aircon has a mechanical failure leaking toxic chemicals. Or the place was made poorly, and ventilation pipes come lose, etc.
I mean there was 1 example and Clear kicked deaths ass. If constructed right, the kidnapped people should be no different.

Coming back, oh yeah I was wrong
Movies are completely illogical so the rules of physics etc are defined by the movies themselves
In one of these movies someone was able to cheat death in an insane asylum despite they could've had a panic attack and not breath or while sleepwalking make a noose out of the newspaper etc
Which means that I suppose if it's not extremely easy for death to kill someone he'll skip them out of lazyness
So the rock bunker idea would actually work and death would skip them, despite the numerous potential real flaws I listed.
This doesn't make sense but neither does death.
The final destination franchise is one of those movies where being the main character does nothing
Yup.

@@SieMiezekatze Actually theres an original ending to the 3 its supposed to be like the last 3 are standing but audience said it was too weird i think its weird a camera pictures the sky randomly

I have a theory about that the protagonists in all the final destination movies all had a weird feeling before dying in the disaster. So god or life gives them a second chance to cheat death. However, it's seems the death wants everyone who died in the disaster to die in the order they were suppose to. The most likely way to beat the final destination entity itself is to prevent the whole disaster from happening and the other deaths if you fail that. However you will always fail the first time. That's just my theory though
