Many fans of the MHAV manga (where some of Aizawa's backstory is in) would at least get animated in a two or three part OVA (basically get more of "the Kakashi backstory" type of treatment). Also many are hoping MHAV become an anime as well.
Same the pace for this season overall has been all over the place IMO the class A vs Class B Arc was too long imo thats what hindered the rest of the season also the filler ep didnt help
This new context for why Aizawa does what he does definitely makes his past actions and statements...more sympathetic for lack of a better term. For example, when he said he would have expelled everyone in Class 1-A except Bakugo and the student(s) who were still hospitalized and thus didn't know about their plan to rescue him. He criticizes them for breaking the rules and their trust with the teachers but doesn't talk about their personal safety even though that's the thing he's actually worried about. IIRC, he never does but now it's clear that it's because he knows that argument won't work, not because he doesn't care.
Shirakumo's quirk was called Cloud. It was capable of supporting the weight of several people and looked like something out of Journey to the West. I'm afraid this is about all we get to see of him in the anime, at least as Shirakumo anyway. The spin off manga My Hero Academia: Vigilantes has a flashback arc centered around Aizawa's time at UA with Present Mic and Shirakumo. Also Midnight was there too. We got to know him a bit before he died. He had given Aizawa his goggles to help with his quirk, then went out and bought another pair for himself. Present Mic also started wearing a pair so they match.
This was definitely one of the most disturbing episodes so far into the show. Seeing eraserhead and Present Mic act completely out of their normal character and just be torn down is hard to watch.
Unless you're already a manga reader, I recommend you read the MVA chapters that were adapted AFTER watching the episode. spoilers for next episode(s) in case you're dub watcher only: They cut out a decent amount of scenes from this arc. Edit: as someone who read the bnha vigilantes manga, it hurt so goddamn much when i read this ep in the manga :(
oh boy i've been WAITING for this one
Many fans of the MHAV manga (where some of Aizawa's backstory is in) would at least get animated in a two or three part OVA (basically get more of "the Kakashi backstory" type of treatment). Also many are hoping MHAV become an anime as well.
“What is this season about?” 😂
Some slight manga spoilers: It’s basically the setup for the War arc.
@@Phanthief95 yeah
Good question it’s all over the place.
Growth. Pretty simple but hey "insert channel name here"
@@Karma-pq9fi It’s basically the setup for the War arc, which we’re getting next season.
Did they not notice the short scientist guy at the hospital was the same doctor who deku met as a small kid who told him he was quirkless
Not the biggest fan of season 5 rn but God damn, this was one good episode! The music makes the kurogiri scene even better tbh..
I mean fair, but it’s still good by any standards. A bad season for MHA is still pretty good
Yeah Season 5 is trash tbh
Same the pace for this season overall has been all over the place IMO the class A vs Class B Arc was too long imo thats what hindered the rest of the season also the filler ep didnt help
Its too out of nowhere . We didn’t even hear the friends name before . Very shaky storytelling but the music was pretty sweet
Wait till u guys see the last 5 episodes ohhh boy
This new context for why Aizawa does what he does definitely makes his past actions and statements...more sympathetic for lack of a better term. For example, when he said he would have expelled everyone in Class 1-A except Bakugo and the student(s) who were still hospitalized and thus didn't know about their plan to rescue him. He criticizes them for breaking the rules and their trust with the teachers but doesn't talk about their personal safety even though that's the thing he's actually worried about. IIRC, he never does but now it's clear that it's because he knows that argument won't work, not because he doesn't care.
Can’t wait for them to see mva
They aren't ready for my hero seinen version hahaha
@@samuelrodriguez5282 it ain't gonna be as bloody as the manga calm down.
@@MAR-sc7np OH thank you for worrying about me, I'm pretty calm haha, tbh it's a shame that is gonna be with censor
@@Axxidous it'll still happen. But hopefully they don't cut stuff in the mva arc.
@@MAR-sc7np they already have lol
that whole conversation about risk made me think about 285
More of a hero then anyone Normies: it's about Bokkugo
Bokkugo: kills deku
Yes my favorite character bokkugo
My Hero Academia
Season 5 Episode 19 " More of a Hero Than Anyone"
August 14 , 2021
"the hospital" is in the very first episode of MHA, find the guy experimenting on Shigaraki.
Old friend reunions are awkward but former friend reunions are often painful.
I didn’t recognize the person operating on shigraki he was in the vary first episode as Dekus doctor
I was waiting for someone to bring that up.
It begins... The infamous arc that people have been waiting for!
Unless you're already a manga reader, I recommend you read the MVA chapters that were adapted AFTER watching the episode.
spoilers for next episode(s) in case you're dub watcher only:
They cut out a decent amount of scenes from this arc. What we're getting isn't "bad" by no means, but it isn't as good as the full manga version all by itself. If you do what I suggested, you can still go into the arc blind, and you will go see the stuff you missed and experience the full story as it goes along.
@@scottvgamer1163 I already am a manga reader! I was just disappointed yknow
@@settsu7836 I understand why people like you are disappointed. However, people like me have yet to be disappointed. I'm doing what I said in my previous comment, which I think will make it impossible to dislike this arc in any way like people who read it beforehand. I don't have any expectations to begin with. I'm not going to just straight up drop the anime like some other people.
@@scottvgamer1163 Dont get me wrong! I'm not disappointed because its bad! plus you need to be really really really mess up for me to drop something but like the pacing could have been a bit better perhaps! i know there is no point in me saying this but yknow i feel they focused more on the arc that needed less attention! but that's just me s6 gonna be fire regardless
@@settsu7836 yeah. Any animation is better than no animation at all. I can't wait to see the big fight against "you know who" in the war arc.
Also, I personally didn't mind the pacing in the previous arcs because the actual moments from the manga (outside of the flashbacks themselves) seem well paced. Glad to hear from a manga reader who isn't ranting about how the anime is "hot garbage".
I'm gonna say it again "Get rid of the react wheel"!
I'm sorry but it's stupid just make a poll of shows that you guys are interested in and whoever wins is your next reaction.
Also PLEASE don't force yourselves to react to shows you don't like just watch the first few episodes of a new show and if you don't like it then drop it and have a new poll to decide what replaces the dropped show.
What happened?
Normies y’all read the manga for this season alone when your done watching
The doctor! You guys should know him!
The fact that Uraraka had more fluid animation grabbing a damn toy then the current episodes is sad lol
I have high hopes that they used their time for the most important parts, I mean sad man's parade is next saturday, that thing has to be heavy to animate
@@Deather2012 At the very least, it is usually no better than the manga, which is nothing but still images on paper. I'm very aware of how stupid it is to compare a manga to an anime this way, but I still find it stupid when people say these specific moments are "worse" than how they were in the manga.
@@scottvgamer1163 Uhm what? You contradicted yourself like 4 times
Guys...Pay attention to the doctor...That's Deku's doctor!
From now till the end of this arc it gets better
When y’all don’t remember the doctor was the same doctor that diagnosed deku of not having a quirk at the beginning of the show.
Rana’s Jacket Tho!!! 😍😍😍🔥🔥🔥❤️❤️❤️
They aren't ready to my hero academia seinen bro it's gonna be mind blowing for them
The doctor that you see at the end experimenting on shirokuma is the same doctor that checked out Deku for having no quirks
If you guys want to see more of Shirakumo and Aizawa you have to read My hero academia: Vigilantes, it's a my hero spin off who is set up before MHA season 1.
I was dying to see how they would translate that cotton candy pun. Don't know if I'm more disappointed or impressed.
It's way better
The way I see it, we technically get both jokes at the same time.
this was the darkest episode so far Shirakumo's corpse was used to make a weapon and there was some censorship in the last scene Shigaraki was being literally ripped apart by the machinery
All for one meant they get UA kids but not directly attack the school, for ex. Aizawa friend AFO just took his body after he died at the morgue or something he has enough resoruces to do it
Right, it’s not usually the literal school. It’s UA in spirit, wherever the students go.
Well this escalated quickly haha
This was the only arc in mha that felt rushed. They cut out alot of stuff from the manga just to get it to fit into the 12 episode format.
When you guys finish My Villain Academia, please read the manga chapters. The anime left out some parts so far.
I'MMA SAY IT!!! I miss Nahid 😔
Petition to bring back Nahid he’s always thought MHA has potential and now it’s going to start to take off these final episodes
Dude we’re 5 seasons in. If he doesn’t like it he doesn’t like it
@@stonecold6635 did you not read my comment ? That’s my point- he likes the show a lot and left the full time reactions but is still with them on other shows
He literally spent the past two seasons complaining about Midoriya not being like Goku, comparing the show to Naruto, and whining about the characters' training being on-screen.
He didn’t like it lol
Kuro giri transalates into Black Mist, Shira kumo means white cloud. Literal opposites
Not really, I mean, mist is not the opposite of a cloud.
@@universalpower419 just go with it
The villains only attacked the kids during school twice. 😭 USJ S1 & Training Camp S3. Give U.A. more credit! 😂
Is it me or does the doctor that was shocking shigaraki resembles the doctor that told deku that he has no quirk
Why is no one mentioning how that guy at the end is Deku's childhood doctor?!?!? 😩
Rana looks too cute in her shoto shirt
The Countdown is Halfway done😈.
The first meh arc of 10 episodes was quite worth it, all for this episode of Aizawa's moment (even if the audio hears a bit guatefak)
Preparation, that is what this Season is about, more or less.
You guys saw the ending did you the guy with the bald hair and the mustache that was deku doctor from season 1 episode 1 did you remember
don't miss the detail on the opening of episode 20
3:20 Agree, i hate new new intro, is the first MHA intro that i directly skip right when start sound
Bruh how do they always pronounce someone’s name wrong when the characters themselves say it as it is🤯
Lmao true
Mind blowing
Yeah, like still talking about how long the school year is every few episodes for 5 seasons.
Guys read My Hero Academia Vigilantes to get the lore of Eraser Head's back story
we all know the doctor from the 1st episode
Y'all not ready for next week
Yh they gonna be like finaly
If *that* was sad then imagine if MHA vigilantes get animated. Help.
Sucks the audio had to go shitty for the best ep of the season so far imo
Guys the last 5 episodes are sooo good lo
Normies, I might have to comment this on your next video or your parteon or whatever. But I want you to read this with all my heart!
*Please read the next arc in the manga before watching it in the anime!* (or during or after)
Please, I'll pay extra on patreon. I don't care. Read it as a group like you did those Avatar comics! It'll be fire and shit! Fans would love it and you guys would get the full experience of the next arc!
It'd be funny, too! I can imagine Suraj reading for main villain of that arc!
This season just took a 180 degree from this episode
