Mega Man ZX ~ Model ZX vs All Bosses [No Damage/Hard Mode]

- Mega Man ZX gameplay on hard mode; boss rush against all bosses with Model ZX, and achieving a Level 4 Victory against all Pseudoroids. This does not include the intro stage boss, Area B, and Giro, as Model ZX can't fight them without cheats. I'm also not fighting the Z3 and Z4 bosses, as they're literally just copy and paste not worth wasting time on, unlike Omega (who's a totally different monster than his Z3 counterpart, and IS worth fighting). This is not a no damage run of the full game. That will come in the future, and I've already got my plans for how my serious run will go, so please do not tell me what to do or request stuff. This video is simply some side fun, and can be seen as a basic guide on how to Level 4 bosses with the default and balanced biometal, Model ZX.
It should be noted that in most of these fights, I have the Quick Charge chip equipped, so if charge time looks faster to you, that's why. Saying this before the idiots swarm in saying I'm cheating...

Yup, saber models are VERY good in this game thanks to the variety of moves that can be put together in combos. If I were to rank all models, my top 3 would be: Ox; Hx; Zx. In this order, the 3 saber models
@@cafequente8252From what I've seen, Hx actually outputs far more raw damage than OX can. When using OX vs Omega and Hx vs Omega for example, OX completes the job slower.

Model OX Magnus Zero two-cycle combo video - starts combat at 9s, kills at 21s, kills in 12s with a perfect boss cycle
Model Hx Magnus Zero video - starts combat at 5s, kills at 18s, kills in 13s with Omega being actually rather uncooperative.

Nowadays, yeah, I'd put Hx on top, followed by Ox and then Zx

Favourite thing about this is how it plays out like an arcade run of Street Fighter. The Akuma-style cutaway for Omega was beautiful.

Nice, some ZX action! Love this game, but its kinda disappointing the models can't learn any EX skills from the bosses to further improve the combo system.
Yeah, there were a lot of things left to be desired like the Zero Knuckle from Mega Man Zero 4. At least we get Biometal O.

Personally, I would have liked it if you could mix and match the biometal models. Maybe also bind favorite biometal mixes to some kind of shortcut to switch on the fly for combos, like Dante's styles and weapons from DMC.

Cheese implies it's easy, when in actuality, not only are the windows for stun-locking Omega incredibly short and precise, but if you make one mistake, *he will kill you.*

I find it funny that in ZX and Gunvolt lets you refight the bosses, yet throws you a gauntlet at the final stages anyway.

Damn, these look so clean. Side note, is the reason you didn’t charge the saber too often because you wanted to abuse Rolling Slash more? Also, that Charge Shot > Rolling Slash > Walking Slash > 3 hit combo on Omega looks sooo squeaky clean.
Rolling Slash is much more powerful for combos over charged slash, considering Model ZX is too basic for any other higher combo damage options.
Rolling Slash skip per frame, so every spin cause multiple damage, very OP

Now for the real challenge: no damage using biometal Px. See if bosses can be defeated before the buttons on the game system fall off in protest.
Joking aside though, fun watch. Never could get Lv 4 on any of the fire psuedoroids myself, so it's nice seeing someone manage it while not losing their pace.

I forget, what do the Level 3/Level 4 victories actually do?
the higher the level of victories, the less repairs you have to make on the biometals (so you save more e-crystals). that's essentially what you're aiming for when you get from level 4s. the cosmetic gain are the boss figurines that hang in prairie's room when you strictly level 4 them.

Rolling slash is BUSTED. During my first playthrough of ZX, all I did for the final phase was spam it in his face and damage boost.

I don't get it why i do all charged shots and overdrives. I can't even do what you can do since playing in mobile has some restrictions too. I do have my own techniques that i could show but more of a not perfect but when executed, it will come off easily. Maybe it is a piece of cake for you when i show how i deal with them. I still need some practice or maybe a console to play with since console to me is pretty easy and fun to have when playing these games. I enjoyed a lot of them. But i realized that we are special in our own way, then i'll be having console than mobile or PC since that was the easiest step for me to play that kind of level. (And a lot of time and practice for me to get good) By the way, can you do a PX on Omega Zero and the other Biometals, if you can? I know that HX can beat him in situations but i wonder if LX can beat Omega Zero since she is not the type to fight on land. 🤔

I noticed you don't hit the critical spots. Why do you avoid doing that? Is it a rule to make it more challenging or is it because it's more efficient to kill them that way?
Note: I haven't found a guide for bosses anywhere on RUclips but after googling it, it says that the weak spot is where the biometal is at and if you hit them you will damage the biometal and have less bar when you get it. I'm putting this here in case anyone (much like me) is too lazy to google it and is confused as to why he avoids the critical spots (though i'm pretty sure anyone who watches these videos already know all of this).

level 4 makes no sense. So many times it looks like hit the weakpoint and nothing happens and viceversa. It's a dumb idea anyway. Way to punish players for merely playing the game. And some bosses like flammole and puripill are pure cancer because of their weakpoints being constantly their in idle pose and 99% of their moves. In order to hit most bosses, you can't actually hit their model and have to swing above them hitting the air, and that makes NO sense. Unless you spend the ridiculous trial and error to figure when they are vulnerable in their frames even if the blast hits. Like flammole, I didn't know you could just shoot him at the start since his arms are right there. If you slash instead of shoot, you hit the weakpoint. Makes no sense.
The weak point mechanic in this game has to be one of worst design decisions I've ever seen.

Not really. It provides a challenge for those that want it, or an easier method for those that struggle, just at the cost of a potentially ludicrous amount of e-crystals, depending on your difficulty. Those prices are my personal gripe, not the weak points
@@themorrigan1312 This system is just a waste of time: you either waste time in the boss battle trying to get a level 4 victory, or waste time grinding e-crystals. And you don't get those puppets in Prairie's room if you hit weak spots, for what it's worth.
Another reason I hate it is the fact that it's used as a crutch to make easy bosses like Flammole or Protectos artificially harder.
Or make fun bosses like Fistleo or Purprill annoying messes you have to die over and over to get a perfect victory on.
It doesn't help that Fistleo's and Protectos' stages are trainwrecks already.
Well i wouldn’t say it’s terrible. I actually tried to get level 4 victories on some of the bosses, and it was actually kind of a fun challenge! (Well for some of the bosses)
Unless you’re doing a casual run, that’s when it becomes a bit of an issue
The weak point system is entirely subjective. Some enjoy the puzzle aspect of it, some don't. It's incredibly rewarding for skilled play (knowing how to space attacks and be precise; something previous games never focused much on), and it's certainly not time wasting if you know what you're doing (5 second and less kills with HX speak for themselves). It requires a different approach than your standard X/Zero boss battles, and I can at least appreciate the effort to make a fresh experience, despite the flaws the weak point system has (because it's not perfect).
So, I'd say don't write it off as harshly. It doesn't vibe with everyone, but that doesn't inherently make it a bad system. The general consensus among high level and speed play is that we gain a great sense of accomplishment from being skillful enough to Lv.3 and Lv.4 consistently, while still being speed efficient at the same time. It's all about knowing what you're doing and practice, just like any game that came before it - it just requires a different approach.
Who needs Vent when you have Aile.
