1969 Puerto Rico March, Bacardi Rum, El Morro Fortress, The Experimental Forest, El Conquistador Hot

Travel Log 002: This Super 8mm film documents my Aunt and Uncles vacation to Puerto Rico in March of 1969 and also St. Maarten in March of 1971. Scenes of the Bacardi Rum factory and El Morro Castle/Fortress are seen as well.

Too bad, but in 1969 I was living in N.Y. with my parents. I lived in N.Y. from 1965 to 1975 when we moved back to our home land for good.

In 1969 PUERTO RICAN society was not as disfunctional as it is in 2024. Lots of ethical and .oral values have been lost. Family unity is not what it used to be. Respect for the elderly is no longer day. Political corruption is now part of every day life.
