  • Travel Log 002: This Super 8mm film documents my Aunt and Uncles vacation to Puerto Rico in March of 1969 and also St. Maarten in March of 1971. Scenes of the Bacardi Rum factory and El Morro Castle/Fortress are seen as well.

    Thank you very much for sharing. Iam 72 years now, and those years were the best in my life. I met my wife in that year and we still together,OMG😂 I was crying viewing that film Gracias muchas gracias.

    Que bonito y tranquilo ese Puerto Rico de los 60", las casas de madera de tabla en la montaña, habia pobreza, pero mas tranquilidad, no habia mucho automovil ni tanta urbanizacion. Thank you for this video.

    Thank you so much for this footage. This is truly a gem of a video. It's a moment of the post caught in film that all can see if they so choose. It's so incredible to see Puerto Rico the same year I was born 1969. Wow!

    WOW, LA CONCHA HOTEL ,WERE MY UNCLE "SY GLICK "A DESIGNER DID A LOT OF THEIR BEAUTIFUL RENOVATIONS IN THOSE YEARS , SAME WITH EL SAN JUAN, SAN JERONIMO, CARIBBE HILTON HOTEL'S , WHAT A GREAT LIFE HE GAVE US , RIP.😢 Thanks

    Too bad, but in 1969 I was living in N.Y. with my parents. I lived in N.Y. from 1965 to 1975 when we moved back to our home land for good.

    In 1969 PUERTO RICAN society was not as disfunctional as it is in 2024. Lots of ethical and .oral values have been lost. Family unity is not what it used to be. Respect for the elderly is no longer day. Political corruption is now part of every day life.
