So strange going back to non vocal Berserkers after so long.
The state of FGO berserkers is basically “kinda gets a little mad when they don’t get that second bowl of rice during dinner”, a good chunk of ‘em are completely regular servants.

For a bit more context, Samson is a pacifist. He doesn't like fighting and fights solely to protect the innocent despite how skilled and powerful he is.
When Tsuchimikado made him go berserk, he broke free by himself and articulated his own death, giving Iori the means to get to him and Dayu the weapon she needed to cut his hair.
Samson is someone who loves peace and hates violence so much he is willing to kill himself for it. Yet, because of his wrath in life, he is a Berserker eith the highest level of Mad Enhancement. There is a small mistranslation going around that says his wish is "being able to forgive Delilah" because he feels like he can't. The actual wish he has is instead to meet her again to tell her he has already forgiven her, because he never had the chance to tell her that in life.
EDIT.: Also Samson is not shy. There was a small misunderstanding people had because of a scene from his storyline where Iori and Takeru find him hiding in an alley. In that acene Samson acts shy because he has just broken free from the mind control and is utterly ashamed of his actions. Not just that but until then Iori and Takeru were his enemies. Basically he feels ashamed and doesn't know how to approach them but knows he needs to in order to avert hurting anybody else.
Samson, like Herc, is a masterpiece in silent storytelling even with his minuscule screen time
I really love how they did Samson in this game. I see him as the Heracles of Samurai Remnant. A real powerhouse, non-talkative, big & muscular, and "almost" unstoppable especially when he goes berserk. I was sad when he was defeated here and I do love playing him
Well some people would say that Samson, Heracles, amd Enkidu represent the Strongest being with a tragic fate in their respective races. Samson being killed in a Philistine temple as he destroyed it after Delilah's betrayal while protecting Israel from oppression in the Bible, Heracles being cursed to kill his wife and children in Greek Myth, and Enkidu sentenced to death for allying with Gilgamesh by the Babylonian Gods

I mean am EX rank str and end Increasing NP is underwhelming but it is no joke.
He can legit bust Mountains with his fists while using [Dehlia] which even Heracles can't probably do without Nine Lives(as a servant)
@@SiegfriedFafnirsbaneSamson is probably stronger. Biblical servants are incredibly strong. Heracles already got killed 12 times in one touch by David’s NP. If a wooden box blessed by God was enough to one shot Heracles, imagine Samson what Samson can since his whole body was blessed by God’s Holy Spirit where his power comes from. At the end of his story, hair wasn’t even needed to trigger his strength.
@@SiegfriedFafnirsbane I guess Herc has the more advantage as he can take on Phantasamal beings whereas Samson only took on Opressing Kingdoms and Fierced normal animals.

Samson never fought anyone on his level in life while Heracles has fought Divine Beasts,countless Greek warriors and the Gigantes.
By his 10th Labour he was a match for Ares in skill if not pure power.
I honestly don't know why Heracles doesn't Have EX or A++ rank STR despite literally being the mythological equivalent of superman.
Everyone thinks of Heracles when they think of "which mythological guy had super strength"
And I know Nasu intended for A+ to be a rare rank. But look at FGO, literally every servant and their mother has A rank str. Bedivere? Deon? Like wtf were they smoking.
Why does Gawain randomly have a + modifer in his parameters apart from his NOTS. He neither has the Valour, Monstrous Strength, Natural Body Or any form of Manaburst skills, so how can he just randomly double his parameters?
It's a fucking shitshow.
He has to be one of the coolest and saddest berserker in fate next to Heracles. His story is short but feels like a journey. Hope he’s in fgo one day.
Samson is definitely my absolute favourite of the new Servants introduced in the game. They knocked it out of the park with him, despite his relatively minor role he’s still one of the coolest from both a general design standpoint and in motion.
Not to mention I find his character really touching, his only desire being to forgive Delilah, him siding with Dayu due to her resemblance to Delilah, spending his final moments thanking Dayu while trying to cover her from the rain. Also he’s got some funny moments too, like when he appears sitting down in the backstreets and sheepishly giving Iori the Mystic Code.
Kind of ironic given that he’s one of those scream-y Berserkers.
I don't even have this game but I want him in FGO NOW!
If they do a samurai remnant crossover event, it will be a crime to leave out any of the new servants. They are all so awesome, especially Archer.

My years long wish has finally been granted. I can’t wait for the servants of FGO to react to Samson being summoned, including what he thinks of the numerous heroes he will eventually meet. Hopefully Ritsuka treats him well and let’s him enjoy the hijinks of Chaldea.
Edit* Samson’s change in personality as a servant versus his previous life are quite a contrast. Perhaps that is why he acts like the judge God wanted him to be as a servant to make up for the messes he made in his life.
I'm inclined to agree as his NP subtitle name is "Champion of Contrition," and one of his attack names is "Howl of Redemption".

The moment I saw his long hair and chains I instantly knew it was Samson.
5:27 I have heard Samson and Delilah so many times in the past, so it is nice for the Fate franchise to present the two. However Samson’s weakness, his hair, has always bothered me; the weakness is worse compared to Siegfried’s back and Achilles’s heel in a practical view.
