Such a great painting, its time to plan a trip to Cortona - just to walk through the now museum at San Marco to see all his work. I loved the finger pointing of Gabriel (see around the 4:40 mark) where Gabriel is pointing at Mary and upwards, and the finger is directed right at the corbel above Gabriel - which you say later is either a representation of God or Isaiah. Such a cool detail. I wish I could paint and imagine like Fra Angelico.
