I immigrated to USA in 1998, finally realizing in my lifetime Pakistan’s System cannot change! So I decided to move and live my life in peace. I miss Pakistan, but life is short and One has to be SELFISH otherwise the short life can become abrupt! I am the same age as you I passed out of kakul and had a bright Army Career ahead. but I made a decision to live here because this system is already developed and I don’t have to experience growing pains. I worked odd jobs and now have my business. A lot of my friends planning to go back to Pakistan some day or get buried in Pakistan. I told my kids to buried me here, this is my country now, this land gave me safety security and sense of pride. I proudly raised my kids here! I made an honest living here. How can I be disloyal to my new land? I’m proud to say I am proud to be An American 🇺🇸!

Mr. Ashir, I went through the same thought process (different events but with similar themes) before I decided to migrate back in 2006/2007. I was well-settled in my job (IT sector) and was doing well but then a number of events happened one after the other which pushed me to call it a day. I did it for my children (and not economical reasons) as I couldn't even think of leaving them to face the same 20/25 years down the road. I am happy I made that decision back in 2007. You and I are not alone to have gone through this. But also let me confess: I still love Pakistan and miss it every single day.
Same kind of circumstances happened to me, with land revenue dept. After an year of fighting with them for my right, i won atlast. But it was due to my connections with commissioners and stuff. I felt the same way. In this country, you are damned if you are a victim.

Respected Sir, I am a Pakistani watching your video from Morocco with utmost interest, especially after having look into the title of the video. Being an expatriate myself, I could almost feel the depth of your words with each breath you took whilst explaining such unpredictable chain of events. For some reason my eyes got wet while you storytelling about Bhabhi undergone horrific episode and she could not get a hold of herself for aeons. Being a father of 3 girls, I could sense her anxiety and desperation, knowing vividly that she has a husband and beautiful kids around to hold on so dear and close never to be apart. I myself in Australia solely for economic opportunity but the reasons you mentioned are a hell lot of reasons which make our country very much unliveable and we just don’t care about it anymore.

He doesn't need your apology, rather your courage to speak out openly against elitism in Pakistan. Mr. Ashir, I went through the same thought process (different events but with similar themes) before I decided to migrate back in 2006/2007. I was well-settled in my job (IT sector) and was doing well but then a number of events happened one after the other which pushed me to call it a day. I did it for my children (and not economical reasons) as I couldn't even think of leaving them to face the same 20/25 years down the road. I am happy I made that decision back in 2007. You and I are not alone to have gone through this. But also let me confess: I still love Pakistan and miss it every single day.

Respected Sir, I am a Pakistani watching your video from Morocco with utmost interest, especially after having look into the title of the video. Being an expatriate myself, I could almost feel the depth of your words with each breath you took whilst explaining such unpredictable chain of events. For some reason my eyes got wet while you storytelling about Bhabhi undergone horrific episode and she could not get a hold of herself for aeons. Being a father of 3 girls, I could sense her anxiety and desperation, knowing vividly that she has a husband and beautiful kids around to hold on so dear and close never to be apart.
Although, we are away but the agony to watch such an insensitive system which does not allow sensitive people like us to breath or live peacefully haunts every single day.
The choice you or many of us made was not merely to get out unless we felt the voice in our ears "Get the hell out" of here was somewhere between Fate and Destiny.
Yet it doesn't make us rebellious nor ridiculous, we still Love our homeland with acute sincerity.

Bad luck can come anywhere and anytime. For instance, see the case of Christ Church, George Floyd, Acid attach in America on a Pakistani Girl, and various incidents in various parts of the world. It is true our systems are weak and still evolving. Unfortunately, you can not shift whole Pakistan in Canada. Therefore, we must leave space and hope for residents too instead of portraying it as hell. My humble opinion.
