My full review on this: Pros - - Much better soundtrack than most, there has been absolutely zero signs of cutting corners on the soundtrack - Use of higher powered laser lights (vs 2022 and prior) - A bit different, the way the GCC flags are displayed has been changed. There is now only one flag instead of multiple, with Burj Khalifa with the colors of the flags in the background. (vs multiple identical flags as the background in 2022 and prior) - The display has obviously been improved. - Best countdown scene yet (2019 is second, IMO) - Much better start (than the abrupt start as in 2019, 2021 and 2022, which just feels unexpected but at least in 2022 there was a brief period where all laser lights light up before the abrupt start) - Much better ending as well, there isn't any time wasted (whereas in 2022 and 2019 at the end there is a full soundtrack worth of laser shows where fireworks could have been added) and there even is a curtain closing scene at the very end. - Fountain lasers are being used more, especially in the beginning Cons: - The Happy New Year scene could be changed like the GCC flags scene - The display seems to be out of sync with the lasers, fireworks and audio. These are the only two cons. Overall rating: I give it a 9.5/10. Very close to a full 10/10, the only real concern that I have is the display being out of sync.
Fun fact: First, the scene before the countdown does not make sense, it starts with the desert but that arch that leads to Burj Khalifa has nothing on the rear side and there are still deserts behind it and looks like a portal. Maybe they could just block the light from the sides, but nobody will really notice that unless if you pay close attention. Second, the countdown was supposed to be shaped like Burj Khalifa. You can kind of see what I mean at the 2:55 mark, you see a Burj Khalifa shaped structure briefly but it fills the entire screen. On the raw video of Emaar NYE 2023, the video content extends outside of Burj Khalifa, making it impossible to display the rest of the contents. I have a photo of what the countdown actually was supposed to look like on a post. Third, the drum beats after the new years countdown and the 2023 when it goes into Happy New Year in three languages, are supposed to match up with the shift of the text, but you can't see it because the display was out of sync.
Hello! Thank you for sharing. I have booked my flight for this year. Did you have to get tickets to attend? Was it super crowded? Recommended a time and a spot to get this same awesome view? I'll be going with my wife and 14 year old...Any recommendations on where to go party after? Thanks 😊
Tickets are obtained from whichever restaurant you reserve. On normal days the fountain area is very crowded, but on 31st the whole area is closed off to reservation holders only, and getting there will be crowded as people without reservations attempt to enter the fountain area. I went to five guys for both 2022 and 2023. If u want something to do after, it may be difficult getting to whichever place u want because all roads in the area are closed for pedestrians, and public transportation is obviously super busy before and after the fireworks. If u want to have something to do after, I'd probably recommend going to a restaurant or somewhere that has something going on for 31st itself, since everything will be booked in advance with a hefty price and considering the congestion after the event with everyone leaving.

@@gianelpibeYou should search google for restaurants that match your requests, for parties it's most likely age restricted clubs and bars since restaurants around the mall don't really have parties as such, maybe just music. As for alcohol, I'm pretty sure they don't serve in mall restaurants, again you could search google for where u could get drinks on 31st. If u want to be close enough to the fireworks and the fountain, the green grass park opposite the fountain is your best option, for 2023 they had installed a small stage and there was a DJ playing music all night long.

This would have been much better shot in widescreen and by professionals who could capture multiple angles of the tower and the crowd. Nevertheless, it was an awesome show.
I agree, I filmed two videos with 1x and 0.5x zoom on my iphones, the 1x is able to capture the lasers better, and this 0.5x video captured both the building and fountain. I tried the landscape mode with 0.5x zoom but the quality is not good at all. My full review on this:
Pros -
