HOW TO CLEAN CRICUT CUTTING MATS | quick and easy!

  • I forgot to mention that you want them to air dry only! If you use a towel the fibers will get stuck on the mat and you may have to wash them again.
    Today is just a very quick tip on how I wash my cutting mats. My mats last me about a year and I wash them about twice in that year. Now I do find that they will lose that sticky backing after washing them so many times and that is when I will go out and buy new. But before I knew you could wash them I went from buying mats every few months to only once a year. So washing them will definitely save you a little money.
    Thank you Amy for this week's question!

    I've cleaned mine (never used Dawn, but will now) tape the edges off and use spray glue (can't remember the name.) I use it lightly. After it dries, I remove the tape. I use a towel or t-shirt to take some of the stickiness off.... Works like a brand new mat. Thank you for sharing this Sandy... Merry Christmas to you and your family 🙂

    Im a cricut joy xtra newbie and I was so happy I was following along with the program I calibrated my printer had everything set up so I thought it said place paper onto the map my beautiful brand new light stick blue sticky mat. But oh dear this is where things got sticky Really! the new blue light stick mat was so sticky I couldn't get the paper off I then sat and spent an hour trying to remove all the glued on paper. I was a bit up set. That's why I'm here looking for ways to clean off the mat. does it all ways stick so much to light printer paper? So thanks to you I know I can clean it a lot easier then I thought. but any tips on not getting it stuck so hard. I know people all said there was a learning curve but to tell you my head spinning from all the curves. lol Oh I watch twice as I couldn't help looking at all the pretty you have behind you lol.

    • @SandysOrganizedChaos
      @SandysOrganizedChaos  2 месяца назад

      It really depends on how often it is used. The more it’s used the more prone to buildup making it not stick anymore. Before I started washing my mats I would need to buy new once a month. Now I go every six months or more before I feel like I need to purchase a new one. I hope that helps! 💖
