Happy Saturday Mrs Mary, I love the faith challenge, without him a lot of us seniors wouldn’t survive the money is low to live on, but you made a good statement yesterday , if you can only save dimes, start saving.. I’ll tell you the truth, I didn’t even have grocery money this month in the budget because I had 2 unexpected bills… am I worried? No mam ..,that’s why you stockpile when you can, and I have the )1000 emergency fund , but I’m not touching it.. I started a random $1 challenge and I’ll add when I can.. I started with $11 already..small amounts add up…And mrs Mary I agree the money should be in the bank , I cringe when I see these people with large amounts in binders, get some money from interest I have my emergency fund in a high yield acct, it generated me a extra $40 in 2024.. that’s a blessing on a low income..

I am so thankful that you have the mind set to not just save your money but to stock up on groceries when you have a little extra so when the times come like you said when you may not have the extra money for food that month you already had a plan and you saved just for that day by buying extra when the funds were there. To each her own but holding that much money at home like that would make me paranoid a little bit. People are struggling economically and some are not above taking from others. I know from practical experience that thinking the worst can't ever happen to you can come back to haunt you. I just pray it doesn't happen to her.
