My goal this year was to become better at simple sketches, but so far…well, at least I have 9 more months to try! 🌺

Gorgeous! And you are right. It is so relaxing to watch you paint.😊 My March theme is also flowers on a dark background... but I 'cheated' and used a left over wrapping paper. I aspire to a bullet journal like your some day 🌺

I’m new to your channel and videos. I have to say this is by far the most stunning spread I have seen to-date. I have been watching bujo videos for more than 6 years and I am astonished that you say you struggled with painting these flowers. You truly should give yourself more credit because you are extremely talented and I think you should set a date in your planner for 3-6 months from now to come back and look at these painting with fresh eyes. I am confident that you will see this differently and see they beauty and talent in these flowers! Ps your color pallet is perfect and you couldn’t have chosen a better combination for a more impeccable outcome!!! Please do more spreads with the black background
Aww thank you for your kind words!! 🥰 And saying I struggled with things doesn’t mean I don’t like these, this is probably my favourite theme so far in these 4 years of journaling but struggles with art are still always there! Even though I’m a good and experienced artist, I still find many parts of painting hard and it will probably not ever change! I want to talk about my struggles and the reality of being an artist because I know many people find comfort in that too and I like honesty!! Even if I say I dislike something I make, I still know I’m a good artist, struggles and little fails never change that!

based on the thumbnail, I thought this was drawn with pastel chalks/crayons but was surprised to see how beautifully the gouache came out! Love it!

This is beautiful! :D I love the gelly roll white pens, but the 0.5 is terrible. Try the 0.8 and 1.0 instead, they are so much better!
