It should be borh ways. We are lost on both sides of the ocean, plus there is a special/unique fire that the diasporans went through that has created a unique metaphysical mind in the average diasporan .As someone who lives in africa and who have also lived in the west I can tell you that there is a great difference in the two minds.

We, however, know nothing about our African roots, no language, no culture, and many of us do not care to know, but we have accepted the colonial masters religion, fashion, culture, language, and vilify anything African, that's my thrust when I say we need the African influence. I know there's good and bad on both sides of the reasoning.❤🇯🇲

@@jacquelinewelch7635 In africa it is not that different. We have taken up foreign religions and traditional religions are seen as inventions of the 'devil'.The ancestors can be accessed by all irregardless of one's name because they reside within our genetics. The way the world is presrntly structured and because the diasporans have been shaped in a special/unique fire it is normal and natural that tthey will be the greater influencers...they are able to dig deeper within because of their experiences in the fires of torture and degradation/chatel slavery.....the uniqueness of that experience is written within their very souls and genetics.

Like I said I have lived in the west and I could definitely see a major difference in the thought processes of contnental africans and those in the diaspora which was definitely shaped by the experiences of both who had varying degrees of experiences. Africans on the continent faced and and still are facing harsh and extremely brutal conditions but even that experience does not compare to the experiences of the diasporas . Anyone who has a knowledge of history can surely attest to that.

The white power structure oppressed African/Black people in general so the universal Black unity against our common enemy is the only way we will overcome them. As separate clans and tribes we end up fighting each other which helped to get us in this problem in the first place. So it is painful to not know your African family but going forward we can have a bigger more inclusive family for the development of African people.

If you asked a Rastaman in Ethiopia, the only country in Africa not colonized, he would tell you that it has everything to do with the Bible. What did the Rastaman say? "Africa unite." So the statement in the title is false. You travel to Ghana, to Kenya, you will sight Rasta who sight the Bible.
