Regarding Greek Fire, we can't "fully" recreate it because we just don't know the exact recipe, but nowadays, we can pretty much make a weapon that achieve that same effect if not more potent.
!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm also pretty confident that if we changed to a total war economy then we could produce and transport more artillery shells than during WW1.
Going to the moon is definitely also possible, we just don't really have a reason to do it.
And building the pyramids, is a pretty small project compared to modern infrastructure.
The thing about Greek fire is that, finding how to make that would only be done for research, since we already have multiple types Napalm so we don't need more of it's kind.
Warcrime speedrun when?
DIY napalm

6:50 the fact that Switzerland was not true neutral 💀💀 completely disproves the whole thing, no questions asked
Also a country selling their military secrets to Russia for a pipe in a Baltic was somehow "good".
6:27 nuclear is technically renewable if we use traveling wave reactor, with it we have over 5 billion years of energy in uranium and thorium, so it is as renewable as solar.
Except for the nuclear waste and the fact that the uranium and thorium you need come countries like Namibia and Niger. Very sustainable, pretty much as renewable as solar! lol
@@pedro-n8y True. The alternative is much worse though. The so-called renewables aren't renewable themselves and are several times worse than nuclear for several reasons from dependability to safety to lack of resources and/or the lack of technology/efficiency.
Hydro and Nuclear are the only viable resources as of today. The problem is for hydro you need the correct geography so for many countries nuclear is the only way.
Also, even countries with the correct geography have a nuclear reactor or two simply because nuclear is the most efficient/dependable way to make electricity.
The two main issues with Nuclear are the initial price and 3% of the total waste which is highly radioactive. (97% isn't)
We should invest in stuff like Solar and Wind, but anybody who says a transition is possible with today's technology is lying.

(3:00) The white round sign with four thin black stripes (or one wide black stripe) diagonally across does _not_ mean "no speed limit". It's a sign used throughout Germany and Europe and simply means it's the base speed. It's specially the combination of that sign and German motorway (official English term) that is no speed limit. One of the two signs is missing in that image.
3:18 correction: the skinny mustache man didn’t invent the autobahn, he just claimed he did. The first piece of highway in Germany worthy of the title “autobahn”, even if it was a small bit, was opened for public in 1921, and a longer piece was opened in 1932. We should thank Konrad Adenauer, mayor of Cologne, and later the first ever chancellor of the BRD
eyy I love saint lucia too man! The lesser antilles is just a beautiful place
It wasn’t just the first piece of highway in Germany, it was the first (piece of) highway in the whole world.

Actually, it would be closer to something like 'vair-maht'

6:58 Drew called estonia Finland... so estonia can into nordics now? 😆
Drew just gave formal casus belli for Finland to invade Estonia
@@Tulikkox I've been to both and I can honestly say that with a little TLC, Estonia could pass as a region of Finland. Even the way people speak sound shockingly similar to foreign ears. The only cultural difference I observed was that Finland restricts the sale of alcohol yet everyone is drunk, while Estonia doesn't. yet people seem more put together. Also, Finland has ethnic diversity while Estonia has just a ton of Russians.
@@Sayitlikitiz101 I'm a foreigner living in Estonia.
I think your assumption is correct 😅
@@Sayitlikitiz101 Watch the statistics in the video " Country alcohol consumption comparison."
Finland is in the middle of Europe and Estonia is far ahead of Finland drinking booze.
Finland's alcohol consumption has gone drastically down in 20 years.
Finland🇫🇮 is a Nordic country with Sweden 🇸🇪 Norway 🇸🇯 Denmark 🇩🇰 and Iceland 🇮🇸 politically economically, religiously, culturally and geographically.
Estonia's economy is far behind although it is better than any other ex-Soviet countries.
Finland was ranked the best country 2019 by World economic Forum conference in Switzerland Davos and the happiest country seven times in a row 2018 - 2024 by World happiness index report and UN. All the other Nordic countries are among the ten best and happiest countries.
7:06 You quickly realise that the chart is wrong the moment you see that Switzerland isn't noted as True Neutral country.
As an Aussie I knew about the autobahn before going to Germany, but it wasn’t till I actually went on it for the first time, very sleep deprived from the flight (being driven to our place by a mate) that I realised how surreal it was going 180km/h and having someone just cruise right past you going 200+
The best part is that France produces nearly half of Germany's CO2 emissions on a per capita basis. (5.2-9.4 tonnes per person)

I think the reason for that has to do with emigration. Way more Italians and Chinese have emigrated to diverse regions of the world than mexico. Mexico has a strong emigration, sure, but it is mainly for economical reasons, which means they can't afford taking a plane or ship to another continent, they emigrate by foot mainly, so they do it to closer places, which translates to parts of the US closer to the border have a stronger presence of the culture. Also historically the wars in europe and the opression in east asia have made Italy and China sources of emigration, while most latin american nations have been receptors of the flow of people. Mexico's emigration is in conclusion relatively new and very particular. It's culture has expanded way slower, and the same applies to it's food.
In montenegro men didn't even call women by their names. They were calling the Mis of "husbands last name".

Poland in True Neutral?
Germany in *LAWFUL GOOD* ?!?!!?
Thats litelary the opposite of reality!

You got a hitchhiker literally telling us from his own experience by hitchhiking through Europe but then there’s gotta be a Pole (by far not all, I should know. But still…) yet again - arrogantly thinking we should believe his bias opinion for some reason - a person who’s got nothing better to do but to somehow try to abuse this to shid on his own neighbor and ally and make it about Germany vs Poland for no reason. Gosh, you kinda guys truly are *OBSESSED* with Germany. That’s so ridiculous 😂

9:20 the American path is 0.893 mi/min. Sl*vakia is 0.842 mi/min. To drive those 315 miles through Sl*vakia took 374 minutes. Using the American pace it would be 19 miles further in that time. Not optimal, but better. Is the problem that North Caroline is only better than Sl*vakia? 🤢
I would discourage people from conflating the concept of "recognition" with "formal diplomatic relations". Declining to establish formal diplomatic relations with a given state does not mean that Bhutan does not recognize a state's existence and sovereignty, and does not interact with those states.
Bhutan is a small country with limited resources and they've determined that maintaining relations and cooperation with certain countries does not require establishing an embassy in those nations. Bhutan has been able to sufficiently interact and cooperate with various countries through their respective UN missions in New York, along with their respective embassies in New Delhi, without incurring the costs of establishing embassies in every foreign capital.
Fun fact I was born in Warrington.
My deepest condolences
Fun fact I was not
9:20 I played around with long routes in Sweden.
If you go from Riksgränsen in the north to Ystad in the south it's about a 22h drive, with a distance of almost 2000km or a bit over 1200 miles.
And while you have to nudge the route to stay in Norway, the longest route in the country I found was a 40h drive. That route is about 3000km or 1800 miles. (Stavanger to Kirkenes)
If google maps are to be believed that drive is only about an hour shorter than the drive from New York to Los Angeles.
3:57 as a french person i have to agree. What we call "french tacos" is not spicy. It's basically tortilla with a bunch of meat (often kebab), sauce, fries and a lot of other stuff like onions, cheese etc. So yeah sorry Mexico for that (tastes great though). Just take it as an hommage to your country and it's culture
Mexican Here (Born and Raised in Mexico) , it's ok mate, I already taste it, not that bad, it's a French waaaay better version of Taco Bell. I just already take it as French Food, all good.
As a North Carolinian, people forget that state is huge. It takes 8 hours and 40 minutes to from Manteo on the coast to Murphy in the Mountains, which is 556 miles. Most of it is 4 lane, but you also go through Raleigh, Durham, Greensboro, Winston-Salem, and Asheville before hitting the speed bump that is the Appalachian Mountains.
9:30 if you drive slow enough you can also drive 9.5 hours in San Marino and still be in San Marino. Wilmington NC to Knoxville TN is 439 miles (706 km) and should take some 7 hours. By comparison Hamburg to Munich (for the Americans, they both in Germany) is 492 miles (791 km) and should take 7.5 hours.
I'm Portuguese and I can tell you right now, we're in the neutral good category if not in the chaotic good one.

9:21 Funnily enough, it's faster to get from Bratislava to Košice (two biggest Slovak cities) by leaving Slovakia near Bratislava, travel the entire Hungary and enter Slovakia again near Košice, than by travelling all across Slovakia, lol

The US is HUGE. Look up a race called the Cannonball Run. It’s an illegal road race against the clock. There’s a movie starring Burt Reynolds, made in the early 80s, about the race. Start point is the Red Ball Garage in Manhattan, New York finish line is at the Portofino Hotel in Redondo Beach, California, a distance of over 2,800 miles (4,500 km), depending on the route. The record is 25 hours 39 minutes, with an average speed of 113 mph (182 km/h).
It hard to comprehend the true size of the contenital United States, but this speed run does a good job of it. Just imagine driving over 110mph on the interstate or highway for an hour straight. Then do it 24 more times. And you’re almost there, a few more miles to go. Insane. Now I’m off to see if there are any similar distance time dashes across Europe or Asia or both perhaps.

9:30 Today I found out that the longest route in my country (Pieterburen to Vaals; 4 hours by car) is only twice as long as the longest route within my own province (Rekken to Brakel; 2 hours by car). Guelders realy is the biggest province of the Netherlands.

I would be interested in knowing the reasons why Bhutan recognises some countries but not others. It seems a bit random if you just look at the map, but maybe there is a reason.
The map is bit misleading. It's a map of countries that Bhutan does or does not _have diplomatic relations with._ Of course they acknowledge the existence of the other countries - they just don't feel like talking to them.
To be fair logistically we would be able to do everything that drew talked about, the vast majority of people dont have the drive either economically or nationally to strive for them.
5:45 Finally, a proper representation of the Balkans!
If Europian countries switched economies from peacetime to wartime, we would be able to make more shells and military equipment, than ever in history, so it's not that we're incapable of making so many shells anymore, it's that we have also other things to make and do.

Nine hours in the same state is nothing. I grew up in Queensland, Australia. According to Google Maps Coolangatta, Queensland to Bamaga, Queensland is a 32 hour journey via the fastest route. Queensland isn't the biggest state, though. There are places 40 hours apart in Western Australia.
