    Amazing presentation Mark. I wish to ask if this board has a camera? I am interested in a smart board that has a camera and a mic and strictly using digital whiteboard

      Thanks for the feedback, the Boards has multiple ports round the back so you can plug in a web cam or your choice. As the life of the SMART Board is over 50,000 hours, it seemed better to make the webcam a changeable or upgradable part. An array of microphones are built in, and are great at picking up voices over the background noise.

    Hello Mark,
    we just bought the Mx V4 verstion, and it does not have the option to split screen, and there seems to be no updates available.
    What do you think can be the problem?

    I’ve lost my pen. Can I use the old pen from the earlier versions of Smartboard with the four different colours?

      oh no! The pen nib is unique to your specific SMART Board, so sorry I don't think it would work. Replacements can be ordered, via your reseller. If you would like me to ask them to be in contact, just let me know. MarkHartwright@smarttech.com

    Hello, SMART MX V4 smartboard users and staff. I don't see the split screen or the recent icon on my smartboard. I am missing the recent or split screen icon you show in the video. How do I get that icon to appear? Please help. Thank you to everyone in advance.

    @Mark: can I use the native OneNote drawing feature (pens, markers, etc.) when working within a OneNote page. Same question for all M365 apps with drawing options. Thx

      Hello, good to hear from you.
      Yes you can! There is a Plug-in for PowerPoint allowing annotations within each slide, and for all other Microsoft applications simply select the pen you require from the top menu and they work perfectly!

    Question: I see a "MUSIC APP" on my mx board, and when I click on it, I see tabs for Artist, Album, Play List, but so far, I have not found a way to add music files to the MUSIC APP. Would this only be available to a board that has the computer memory installed on the board itself (our boards do not)? Really love the boards! Thanks.

      Great to hear you love them and are seeking out new ways to use them. Music can be played from the files that are stored locally on the Board. You can either download them via the browser, or transfer them from a USB memory stick. Hopefully one of those will help. 😄

      Thanks for your response. So I'm old, and maybe just dense, but I can see my USB files with my music, but do not see how to copy/move to the board app. I did discover how to make a new folder on the board and move the music files to it, but they still won't show up in the app's tabs. Is there a video somewhere that may show the steps of loading music from a USB to the MUSIC APP on the board?@@MarkHartwright

    You mentioned that it is "built to last 50,000 hours." Does that mean the possibility it will need to be replaced after that? 50,000 hours is only 5 years and a few months. (timestamp 8:30)

      Hi, thanks for asking. The actual documentation says “≥ 50,000 hours”, so that’s a minimum guide. So if you used it 24/7, yes just over 5 years… or based on your average school day length, not including holidays… it would be a lot longer. Hope that makes a bit clearer to understand. 😁

      Hello I've been supplying these panels from SMART since they launched panels, instead of projection whiteboards and we have hundreds of 10 years+ old screens from SMART running perfectly well, other brands are OK too and many last similar times however backlight led failures in competitors to SMART have all been out of warranty and been beyond economic repair. That's only in the UK from our experience. SMART have a very good after care support and will listen to customers and do their best to ensure a fair outcome for all.
