This was the series that got me into cricket at the age of 10 now I'm 23
Had never seen blood on ponting's face trying to pull! Wow! Bloody bouncer!
Best Cricket ever 2005 Ashes.. Not a single ashes can beat 2005.. What a series...
Back when winning a test match meant something
Does it not now then?
Ponting is a really tough guy.. He was hit without a helmet in Pakistan by Md Shami who bowls over 140kmph and he acted fine.
They got a brutal opening spell from Glenn McGrath in return...
Alok Sardesai he wasn't that quick though Brett Lee was though quicker even
Flintoff,Hogard,Jones and Harmission such a dream foursome combination against the best batting lineup the Aussies that time.It provides more thrill than a superover in t20
Best england team ever and the best test series i have ever witnessed
The Australians were an incredible force in cricket at that time and to see their best batsman get rattled that way is incredible. And to see the way they respond is also very interesting.
Now that's rare, punter getting beaten on a short ball
That was an unbelievable quartet of bowlers.
Thats what happens when you come to d front foot every ball.......loved Dravid when playing Bretlee in Gavaskar Border Trophy..
A sharp spell and set the tone that win or lose we're in this
Ponting was a strong character
Harmison with such height and pace and with that line n length was terrific.
