The issue is trying to make an opinion fact when you don’t know the source material. There’s tons of amazing things about comics and it’s fine if you haven’t read anything. But trying to make a decision based on just the Movies isn’t going to help.
Semore Butts the Marvel Cinematic Universe is INCREDIBLY nerfed when it comes to the capabilities of characters in the comics. Same with the DCU I’d argue. But overall I feel this Deathbattle was pretty fair.

Comics in general make characters far more powerful than animation (sometimes) or live action can so it’s great to get an overview. I enjoy both DC and Marvel and I appreciate how they outlined why the results ended the way they did because it makes sense.

The thing with Deadpool is, Thanos loves Death. But Death loves Deadpool and *not Thanos.* That pisses him off more than anything, which is why he cursed Deadpool to never be able to die so they can't be together. Honestly I'm not completely sure if the gauntlet would work on true darkseid. True darkseid is multiversal, the gauntlet only works in one universe, multiversal beings have nullified the gauntlet before.

Oddly I think this varies. DC's top end heroes and villains (powerwise) are more powerful than Marvels but I'd say Marvel's street level characters tend to be more powerful than DCs. This being because Marvel tends to give superpowers to almost everyone whereas DC has more characters that are either unpowered or have very low end powers.

I believe one of you said something about speed being irrelevant if Thanos has the space gem. Not true if you factor in reaction times. In order for Darkseid to be able to control being octillions of times faster than Thanos, he'd have to have a proportional reaction time. So if Thanos were to use the gem to teleport, chances are Darkseid would be able to react and strike before Thanos even realizes that he's arrived. I made the same argument against instant transmission in Supes vs. Goku way back.
Plus Darkseid has Irrelevant speed it shits on even sliver surfers plus beyond unmeasured speed there is no number that can do Darkseids speed any justice

By using these seemingly useless numbers, we now know that Darkseid's slowest potential reaction time is octillions of times faster than Thanos'. They do serve their purpose as something like teleportation would defeat super speed if the person teleporting is faster physically as well.

Back when Marvel and DC were on more playful terms, they had numerous crossovers, where Captain America met Batman, Superman met Spider-Man, etc. One of them had cosmic beings putting about a dozen or so items from each universe in the other universe, and seeing whether the Avengers or Justice League could get more of them first. Well, one of those items in question was the Infinity Gauntlet. Which was found on Apokalypse, they actually showed it there. Darkseid was wearing it, saying something alone the lines of "Is this trinket what you're after? Take it, it's worthless, it's power doesn't work here." Fun fact, because of those crossovers, Hawkeye is the only character to have been both a member of the Avengers AND the Justice League

Retnuh Knight I’m not sure if you’re referring to the Deathbattle fights or the actual universes the comics are in but overall Marvel has more powerful characters and concepts such as reality warpers like Franklin Richards, Mad Jim Jaspers, The Marquis of Death, etc. That doesn’t mean DC doesn’t have their own powerhouses. It’s just they don’t have as many which is fine since that’s not really the focus at times.

Death Battle's Thanos is the one the MCU's version SHOULD'VE been. A man who's madly in love with death (both the concept of it and the Angel of Death,) feels that all life is meaningless and revels in causing suffering. Instead...we have a misunderstood bad boy (quote/unquote) who wants to "put everything in proper balance." Not to mention they screwed up who created the Gauntlet. It was THANOS himself that made it, not the Dwarves of Nidavellir (which is a mountain realm, not a planet.) If the DC cinematic universe does something similar with Darkseid...I'm done

(that’s with the reality gem alone)
5-they also acted like Thanos doesn’t know that the gauntlet doesn’t work outside its home universe and if they think so then I ask them to give me a scan, give me a scan that proves that Thanos doesn’t know that the gauntlet doesn’t work outside its home universe, thanos says that “he discovered the true nature of the gems”So it doesn’t really make sense to me that Thanos Discovered the nature of these gems but doesn’t simply know that they won’t work outside of its home universe. (I also add to this that sense he became eternity at one point, this means that he is all knowing about when the gems were created, and when they work, and how they are supposed to work, sense eternity basically gives him knowledge about everything in the universe since it’s creation with every single detail, that ofcourse includes the gems too because they were created in that universe’s timeline)
6-As for the claim that ScrewAttack made up that Thanos can be tricked/manipulated(like they said in the black boxes above) so Darkseid can easily trick him into a portal that would take him to an another universe then i say No, not with the infinity gems and lets not forget that the mind gem would tell Thanos what darkseid’s supposed avatar plan is(tricking to an another universe), the only ones who were able to trick Thanos when he had the gauntlet were characters who were close to him or had some type of connection with the infinity gems like Adam Warlock.
Even if we assume he could trick him, how much out of 10 he would be able to do so if the oldest characters In the marvel universe such as Galactus(who is over million years old by the way) couldn’t trick him?
Why the celestials, abstracts, Eternity, The Skyfathers, galactus and all these powerful marvel high dimensional characters who are over million years old and had actual experince with the marvel universe decided to go in a fight against Thanos with the infinity gauntlet and not trick/manipulate him into a portal that would take him outside his own universe? ScrewAttack are claiming here that Darkseid would achive a feat that these high dimensional over-million years old Characters couldn’t achive, these powerful characters obviously knew that they couldn’t trick Thanos sense they knew that the mind gem alone would give Thanos a nigh omnipotent intelligence that would let him know where to go and where not to go, what to do and what not do, and again, unlike Darkseid, these characters have actual experience with the marvel universe and some of them actually have gone into fights against Thanos himself such as Galactus and Odin. so in a short answer, no, Darkseid would fail to trick him into a portal when he has the mind gem which would give Thanos knowledge about Darkseid’s plan, and the space gem will do a better job as it will tell Thanos that the portal would take him to an another universe.
(what makes this claim worse that most of these beings actually have seen nemesis, nemesis is the one who is responsible for these gems meaning they would easily know how To trick Thanos but they weren’t able to because they knew that they would fail sense Thanos has the space and the mind gems)

True Form Darkseid is no different than regular Darkseid we see, it is in a way simply made up term, in fact we have actually seen him many times prior, like in H/P Doomsday story arc, or everytime Superman or someone else meets Darkseid on Apocalypse it is true Darkseid, so nothing special really. The only times we didn't see real Darkseid was when he was appearing on planet Earth.
As for his multiversal feat that he could destroy a universe by just being their, people forget or ignore the context of that feat, you see when Darkseid "fell" he disturbed the vibrations of Prime Earth/New Earth which as a chain reaction disturbed vibrations on other Earths, thus causing havoc ala wormhole, simple as that actually.
So basically he didn’t bust anything, and to make it worse for ScrewAttack, apparently doomsday who is a planet buster defeated a universal+ Character because it was confirmed that doomsday defeated a True Darkseid by the writer himself:

3-ScrewAttack has no real justification of why they had Thanos go to to True Darkseid Form’s universe and not the opposite.
4-Thanos wouldn’t be tricked into a portal and could easily read Darkseid avatar’s Mind using the mind gem which would expose the avatar’s plan to trick him.
5-ScrewAttack Basically Build up a scenario to give Darkseid the victory.
(Note: now I have to admit that the fight was awesome but all what I’m saying that their research was just too poor, and the way the fight ended was stupid, Thanos could’ve easily knew that the portal is taking him into an another universe using the space gem).

Oddly I think this varies. DC's top end heroes and villains (powerwise) are more powerful than Marvels but I'd say Marvel's street level characters tend to be more powerful than DCs. This being because Marvel tends to give superpowers to almost everyone whereas DC has more characters that are either unpowered or have very low end powers.

I believe one of you said something about speed being irrelevant if Thanos has the space gem. Not true if you factor in reaction times. In order for Darkseid to be able to control being octillions of times faster than Thanos, he'd have to have a proportional reaction time. So if Thanos were to use the gem to teleport, chances are Darkseid would be able to react and strike before Thanos even realizes that he's arrived. I made the same argument against instant transmission in Supes vs. Goku way back.
Plus Darkseid has Irrelevant speed it shits on even sliver surfers plus beyond unmeasured speed there is no number that can do Darkseids speed any justice

By using these seemingly useless numbers, we now know that Darkseid's slowest potential reaction time is octillions of times faster than Thanos'. Back when Marvel and DC were on more playful terms, they had numerous crossovers, where Captain America met Batman, Superman met Spider-Man, etc. One of them had cosmic beings putting about a dozen or so items from each universe in the other universe, and seeing whether the Avengers or Justice League could get more of them first. Well, one of those items in question was the Infinity Gauntlet. Which was found on Apokalypse, they actually showed it there. Darkseid was wearing it, saying something alone the lines of "Is this trinket what you're after? Take it, it's worthless, it's power doesn't work here."
Fun fact, because of those crossovers, Hawkeye is the only character to have been both a member of the Avengers AND the Justice League

Retnuh Knight When it comes to overall powers scaling, I’d say Marvel is stronger because it’s more cosmic focused. However characters like Darkside are rightfully made to be OP to the point where Thanos never really stood a chance.

Retnuh Knight I’m not sure if you’re referring to the Deathbattle fights or the actual universes the comics are in but overall Marvel has more powerful characters and concepts such as reality warpers like Franklin Richards, Mad Jim Jaspers, The Marquis of Death, etc. That doesn’t mean DC doesn’t have their own powerhouses. It’s just they don’t have as many which is fine since that’s not really the focus at times.
It still wouldn't matter DC has been out longer and what wiz and boomstick say about them at the end of the battle is all true comic universe or not the outcome would still be the same like the battle between darkseid and thanos

In an actual fight I’d place my bets on Darkside every time unless there was something crazy with Thanos like the Heart of The Universe.

I don't understand the mentality of being a fan of the stories of one line of comics and therefore thinking the characters are more powerful? Some of the best stories ever told are of completely normal people... there's no link between the quality of a comic and the absolute power of it's characters

Death Battle's Thanos is the one the MCU's version SHOULD'VE been. A man who's madly in love with death (both the concept of it and the Angel of Death,) feels that all life is meaningless and revels in causing suffering.
Instead...we have a misunderstood bad boy (quote/unquote) who wants to "put everything in proper balance." Not to mention they screwed up who created the Gauntlet. It was THANOS himself that made it, not the Dwarves of Nidavellir (which is a mountain realm, not a planet.)
If the DC cinematic universe does something similar with Darkseid...I'm done
Comic Thanos is so shallow that it's laughable. The MCU actually gave him you know...depth. They made him an understandable character with actual emotions unlike comic Thanos where he wants to kill people just because he wants to

The reason the helicopter had Thanos's name on it, was that in the old 70's avengers comics, he used to travel around in a special Thanoscoptor. It was terribly campy, but that was the yellow helicoptor cameo
