DISCLAIMER :
I only recommend using tried & tested performance parts when attempting upgrades like this.
Using substandard parts and/or bad quality/non tested maps may result In mechanical failure of your engine.
Therefore , I only recommend parts Supplied and fitted by Viezu or their distributors.
I have Seen claims from other companies stating that they achieve 600-700bhp on a map Alone, this cannot be true but with any Slim chance It Is true, that engine will blow.
Any power beyond 670+ would require additional modifications Such as drop forged pistons etc to have any chance of being reliable.
Please be careful who you choose when buying upgraded parts, and who to trust your cars modifications with.
As always, thanks to my wife Helen for helping out, please Check out her channel and subscribe 😉

She asked you at the end if you happy , Keep Her Bro . Good woman
Lol, yeah I’m keeping her, she is fine about me going back in a couple of months time for another intake upgrade
As a 2014 XFR owner, I approve of this video and wish I had this in mine!
Oh you should definitely get it, it’s amazing!!!
Thank you!!!!! I have you and your channel to thank for helping fix my car!! I currently have 2 xf supercharged 2009 bro!!!! Thankyou for all ur help
No worries at all dude, I’m glad I have helped. What was wrong with your car?
Excellent upgrade.
Dude they are awesome upgrades, I really want to get the upper and lower pully for my sv8 with a remap hopefully push it up to what yours was standard 🤣
Well, they'll be very fast kids. Great intuitive and insightful videos, luv Jags, especially xfr supercharged. Cheers.
Lol well let’s hope they are 😁 I love the Jags too, built so strong, makes you feel safe and secure yet excited and yet refined. Love it so much!!
Another great vid.
Making all this additional power with the pully swaps is all well and good, but I can't help but wonder, how this takes a toll on the supercharger itself. Like, how much additional downward torque is placed on the snout of the pulley of the supercharger? This might make the front snout pulley bearings wear much faster and cause a premature wear condition on the supercharger making a rebuild/replacement necessary. I'm also going to assume that the normal speed of the supercharger vanes has increased considerably (roundabout plus ~20%?). That will also lead to premature wear. Also, how does this affect the gas mileage? Does this change the regular range of the RPM band? For instance, my XF Supercharged does exactly 2000 RPM in top gear (6th) at 70mph/112.65kph. Are the RPMs the same , lower, or higher at this cruising speed now that it's been modified? I'd also like to know if Viezu can do tuning to cars remotely to non-XFR supercharged cars. Because I know that my engine in my XF is the same as your XFR but just detuned.
It has been a few months since this video was made. Can you tell us how the reliability is going and any problems, if any, that you've had since this upgrade? Thanks from America.
Hi Rick, for sure it will wear quicker as it is turning more times than it used to. The supercharger is rated for this so it isn’t over stressing it, but yes the normal wear will be increased.
It’s been very reliable so far, I’ll check out the rpm for you, that is a good question. As for gas mileage, to be honest I haven’t seen it drop, if anything it’s better this past year since going to Viezu than it was before. I used to get 12-14mpg but now I average 17mpg, but that could be because of some of my longer runs to get to Viezu for these videos over the past year?
I will for sure check the 70mph Rev level in my 6 speed and report back. The rev range of the engine hasn’t changed though.
And yes Viezu do a remote tune “V Switch” box. Shoot them an email and tell them you I sent you, you should get a discount. However, they have a Black Friday deal at the moment, I bought my first tune off them last Black Friday.
@@69racer69 ...Thanks for the reply and eagerly waiting for your follow-up. Subscription earned. :)
@@Rickbearcat thank you buddy. I’ll test it this weekend
@@Rickbearcat I did 70mph on e way to work this morning then it hit me, of course it will be the same Rev’s per MPH due to the gearing not having anything to do with the e power.
It may use less throttle and less fuel to achieve it, so that could be a reason why it seems better on fuel. Or it could just be the change in the trips I’ve taken this year.
@@69racer69 ...So, at 70, you achieved the same 2000 rpm that my car does? You didn't say what your RPM was at that speed.
I suppose thats because (per your inspiration) the transmission systems and supercharger pulley systems are essentially separated from one another, they would have no effect on each other as you suggested. Naturally, they are separated from one another. The pulley wheels act only on the supercharger and the transmission only acts on the wheels of the car.
I did visit the Viezu website. My gosh, it is clumsy, slow to scroll, and an unresponsive web page/site. They don't have anything saying that there is a Black Friday sale going on. At least not for American viewers of their webpage. They are asking 600 pounds ($801 USD!) for a tune for my car (I think). And they call it "JAGUAR XF Saloon 5 Kompressor Petrol Engine 2008 Performance Tune and Remap". This is weird to me as the word "Kompressor" is what Mercedes uses as a moniker for their superchargers. I have never seen the word spelled this way for Jagaur vehicles, and it doesn't give me a lot of confidence that they (Viezu) are using it incorrectly. I assume the "5" means 5.0 liter. And I have a 2010 model XF; again, not giving me confidence, as I am looking for a 2010 remap of the ECU, not a 2008 remap. There are definitely differences (improvements) to the 2010 engine that the 2008 engine did not have. I don't know what year your car is, but maybe you can shed some light on this (a 2008 remap versus a 2010 remap). Thanks for the prior responses.
Awsome video Shane 😎👍🤝
Thank you ☺️
I giggle all the time in mine unmodified, once the giggles lessen i'll be looking at this
It makes Helen giggle loads, she says it makes her tummy tickle 😂
Question, all that torque, am i right its more than the gearbox can handle? Do you have the 6 speed or 8 as i know the 8 speed can handle more power. Wondering if the gearbox will need upgrading some point or if occasionaly blasts only shoukd be ok for the box.
You are right, there is a limiter in the gearbox in the first few gears, but Viezu can map the gearbox now,
If you were racing the car all the time, on track or down the strip, you’re right, mechanically it may be a weakness, but road use I don’t see a problem, I’ve had mine at 600+ for 3 years now and haven’t seen any issues with the drive chain at all.
Oh, I’ve got the 6 speed box 👍🏻
What is the brand and model of the intercooler pump and the same for the charge cooler? Much appreciated! 🙏
The intercooler pump failed so I’ve now gone for a Bosch 010 pump, that is performing even better.
The charge cooler is Viezu’s own designed and manufactured unit, sold under “Paramount”
I had a very close look at it and the workmanship was top class.
I provided the AVT intercooler pump by the way, that was all my mistake 🤦🏼♂️
@@69racer69 much appreciated keep up with great videos!
Do you got links for the parts? Did you thought about changing place of horn to get more for cooling?
Go to info@viezu.com for parts and mapping advice.
Look at my other video for the charge cooling pump upgrade, you’ll see temp reading on there 😁👍🏻
Hi Racer 69, hope you are keeping well? I had my car remapped a couple of month's back from Swallows, with the upper pulley upgrade. In normal dynamic mode, i feel i have to really push the throttle down in order to really get moving. I noticed you saying, if the remap is not done correctly with the pulley, it can effect how responsive it is.
I had the front supercharger radiator replaced last month, due to a coolant leak. In the process i wanted to get the, upgraded charge cooler pump fitted, but Swallows, avoided it by saying it make's no difference. Swallow's has been a good garage for all other work, but when it come's to upgrade's they don't want to support you much. I wanted the lower pulley done, but they told me that, it's a nightmare to work with and put on.
I think the time has come, to pop down VIEZU, and see what can be done. Keep up the good work with the video's 👍🏼.
Definitely sounds like a trip to Viezu, they are much more up for modifications. I bought my own pump and they were happy to help fit it. They have been fantastic to me. I’m On My way back there tomorrow lol
The lower pulley is a one hour job.
Also with a proper tune you foot should barely move the gas peddle to feel an incredible surge…. Time to to think your current tuner. Veuz knows what they are doung
Thank's mate, will definitely pop down there soon. Just getting my dashboard refurbished at the moment, because of the leather coming apart.
@@XFR937 ouch, how much is that costing?
It's costing me £1000, will see if i can get anything off as i removed the dashboard myself, which was not to bad. Try and protect that dashboard, with a sunshade, when the weather get's hot.
Hey Shane, thanks for the vids. Just a random question, do you perhaps know where I can find a “driveshafts flexible coupling discs for my 2012 xfr?
You can get them on Amazon, I think it has the same part number as a Volvo one.
You can get them on Amazon, I think it has the same part number as a Volvo one.
@@69racer69 Thanks for the reply could we please chat via email?
Hi, how do you feel? Some people think pulley upgrade will damage the engine, because it is too light.
No truth in that what so ever, to be honest if that was the case why would a performance fly wheel be lightened?
Yeah, discount any claims of that, it’s total BS
Where did you get the larger bracket for the new pump?
Links are in the description for the other video for the pump.
Hey Shane, how's it going? Emailed viezu a few days ago to get the Predator tune on my facelift x250, have been watching your vids since I had the prefacelift. Only question i got for you is what did you guys do to dyno it? Everybody I've spoke to says they are hard to dyno, I see you were throwing buncha warnings on lights, I'd like to do the same so I can get a proper dyno run here in Canada. Thanks
You’ll have to speak to Viezu about that, I have no idea what they do to give it a proper dyno. The warnings are due to the front wheels not rotating so it throws up All sorts, it I don’t know how they get around it? Sorry.
Where in Canada are you?

@@TheZammy2blood wow I have no idea where in Canada that is, I have spent a lot of time in Canada growing up, but never heard of where you are.

Where did you get the dyno done?
Another guy I knew had his dyno sheet showing 654 and it only pulled 587 at Viezu
So I'm from the US and just got a 2011 xfr supercharged and recently purchased a upper pulley and exhaust for it... Not installed yet... Does this company remote tune?
Hi, yes Viezu remote tune, they have a “V Switch” box that they send out to you. Another guy from the US naught one and he said it came super fast and he was really happy with the service.
Give them a shout, info@viezu.com
Tell them I sent you and you may get a discount 😉👍🏻
I'm new to modding cars, what is "map" is it mapping placement of parts or using a computer/software to tune stuff for the right power.
The map is software in your ecu, it will map 1,000’s of parameters to different conditions in the car to get the most performance out of it. When you add mechanical changes you need a new map to change the way your car is set up so it knows the mechanical parts are there and tell it how to deal with it.
You should do a 60-130 time and some pulls and record it!
I’ll look into doing them after me next upgrade
@@69racer69 may I ask when that will be? You don’t have to give me an exact date but you could give me an estimate maybe a week or a couple of weeks?
@@MarcoTopG next upgrade should be in about 4-6 weeks time.
I’m hoping to set up a race with a Tesla and a motorbike too. But need to find a venue to do it.
@@69racer69 thanks for the update I’ll definitely be waiting!
Awesome, i have the same car I'm tempted to do that. How much have you spent in that car buddy.
Did you have to get a longer belt for the new pulley.
A bunch of error messages showed up at the dyno....
Error messages always show up in the dyno as the front wheels are not turning and the back ones are doing 140mph.
The new belt came as part of the kit.
Did you do a transmission tune also?
Im only a customer of theirs, so I don’t do tuning. They do tuning yes, send them an email and see what they can offer.

So you have the upper pulley done also? Have just put on a tune along with an undersized upper pulley (63.5mm) from Velocity on my 2015 XKR coupe, so you can do both? Thanks for any reply!!
Yes, as I said in the video, I previously already had the top pulley fitted. Mine was 60mm. But yes you can do both pulleys. It’s a massive change in torque, definitely worth doing if you want the extra power.
@@69racer69 sorry to ask, but did the stock belt work with both pulleys? Seriously getting the lower one also!
@@Beemernow no, a different sized belt is required. They will know what belt to use. You will love it dude, if you have the right tune to go along with it. Where are you getting it done?
@@69racer69 I did the upper pulley myself, so I was going to tackle the lower one also. My tune was from Velocity, so it should be up to speed as far as quality, but they did tell me it would need to be updated if I added the lower one. Yes, I have both my pulleys upgraded, I showed in the video the upper pulley that I already have in there and the lower pulley was the upgrade that was happening in this video.
@@69racer69 How cool, making these upgrades, how much horsepower and torque did the Jag reach?
How many psi is in the supercharger?
thanks for the answers.
@@mr.wolfenstein4668 have you watched the video? It’s all in there apart from the boost psi
Tremendous ! Nothing sounds like a Jag V8. Will be missed once these EV transporters take over. I have heard that the older 6HP Tx holds the higher torque better than the 8HP transmissions. Looks like if you are feeling all that 900Nm torque rush in @4000 rpm then the TCU 700Nm limiter theory is not true and one can enjoy the Higher Torque .
There is a soft limiter that just holds it slightly then let’s it go past the limit. Can’t feel it was there to be honest, but I haven’t felt it without. Once Viezu figure out the gearbox map they can remove that soft limit and we can see what it’s like then.
With the new tyres in, it’s bloody amazingly powerful omg!!!! Would recommend it to anyone.
