Didn't the Chinese government put a ban on displaying wealth on social media recently? Those who show off their luxury consumption have been deleted from social media.
I think Hermès will continue to do well, unless they become too saturated in the market and social media where everybody posts about their Birkins and Kellys, then maybe the brand will lose some exclusivity and desire?
People are *aching* for design that is beautiful and real and unique. Good design is on the decline and we can see just how uninspired the culture has become. Hermes delivers what we are craving. Simplicity but unique design.
They are also doing well because they don’t do returns which in turn keeps 100% of their capital on top of the “bait” people purchase with the hopes of obtaining a B or K
The Hermes report in terms of its labor responsibility is definitely bolstering my impetus to buy the two pairs of shoes I've been eyeing. (It would be great to have a third party verification, however).
Chinese finding Lux very boring and the same same ….. they looking to buy real estate at discounted assets…. Also sales taxes in China very high …. Chinese buyers becoming much more savvy And smart.

There are returns. For in store purchases they give store credit
Yes but not giving your money back lets them keep 100% of the sell where they are not losing anything
@@francinereap1736 I think on the books it’s money they owe, different from sales
The bait definitely is a big part of it🎣
