Ben, your energy is 4 times more contageous than C19 😅 This is such a positive and mood-boosting video. The place looks totally amazing. Want to visit. And want to have the activity week with Ben.
This is a fantastic place for windsurfing. I stay Last year for a week in the Feelviana. And i come definitely back, for great sessions. Enjoy your time. this is a amazing video of this place.
Big Ben whyyyyyyy do you continuously make me jealous??? Lololol....dangggg that was a pure awesome energized kickass video! I was druelling....plus if you can find a beautiful surfer girl, theres hope for me yet...lol 🤙🤙🤙 cheers mate....EPIC!
Love your videos Ben. Only to confirm the place is very good. No problems with surfing schools as in other european spots, very good wind direction to windsurf waves, interesting city for visiting, shopping, etc. In my experience the only cons are: you need a good N-NW forecast, too many people in august, and the number of days with at least 0,5 m waves and >F5 wind are only 2 out of 7 in august. Some more flat windy days and kite days. It's not as wind&waves consistant as Guincho or Canary islands in summer
Been looking at a trip here as reckon we can drive down from the UK with kit and bikes in the van and it has flat for Emma and waves for me. A clinic on port tack would also be awesome! Will send you an email. Great video thanks.
Storm chase type clinic would be great. I am awful at starboard tack but figure a spin loop or back loop should be doable somehow. Also, wave riding tips would be very much appreciated.
Great place ! A Forward clinic on Storm chase style would be great 😊...I can't do the Forward on neither tack, but I somehow can only jump on port tack 🤔
Flatwater clinics will be for sure happening at some point. I LOVE a bit of flatwater too 😁 ...so get signed up. It makes it easy to get the information to the right people. No spam just info when it's needed. www.Windsurfing.TV/coaching
Maximilian Hinz when I say ‘storm chase’ I mean go on a good forecast. Rather than just picking a date and hoping. Obviously setting a date does work as it’s pretty consistent but going on a forecast would guarantee awesome conditions.
@@WindsurfingTV I can totally understand that. I hat my eyes on the place since the first PWA World Cup. Your video pushed me over the edge now. Bummer that the Beach Club is rather expensive ...
@@alexdugan4467 Totally... that was what i was thinking! When i say storm chase i just mean 'call it on a forecast' Porto is 1hr and cheap flights... so think it could work. 4 day clinic.
@benprofitt do you think there are any jobs available in the hotel for students? Just to work there for a couple of weeks during summer time? Something like being a windsurfinginstructor or stuff like that!
You're really good at "selling" this wonderfull place. But biking or wing-surfing is for retired dudes no? :p) I need to practice one more year to join your clinic (only 2 years back on the water since… 1989), but I'm sold with Portugal!. How long ago can you have a decent Wind forecast? Like 2 weeks or less?
haha.. Not when you see how i bike! 😁 On the forecast it was good up there for a while but looks like a few days off at the moment. But usually, they have wind as there is a local effect due to the mountain/Hill. Waves are obviously more difficult in the summer. But we had some little ones every day.. especially if you go to the bottom end.

well done Ben. Windsurfing fan since my birth.
I have lived in Portugal since 1987, so many great windsurfing spots, Viana do Castelo, Guincho, Martinhal 😃
Windsurfing, wing foiling, wakeboard, foil surfing would be MEGA
Awesome - I always wanted to be a storm chaser - so count me in please!
The Chanel is getting cool mate, congrats. Portugal is heaven!

Learn new technics is definitely the better choise!
Welcome to Portugal, hope you like our country
Hi Ben! Have you checked the floating wind turbines offshore? It would be and interesting trip for long distance Windsurfers! #WindFloat Atlantic
Great spot! as always very entertaining edit and commentary! Keep v logging! Good times!
I'm sooo jealous 😅
That place looks incredible!!!
such an optimistic video ! keep it coming ;)

Would definitely be interested in windsurfing / windfoiling / winging. Always wanted to visit there.
So Ben, you are a love migrant!
activity week would be perfect for me
Very nice place, was there last year august.
looks awesome Ben, really enjoyed this video 🤙🏼
I would definitely love to be part of the „activity week“ 🤙🏼
Windsurfing, sup, surf, foil, bike its all good.
Awesome that there are so many sports there! I'm in for the camp if covid is under control!
I love to join a clinic or activity week over there. But I do not know about starboard tack.
Say hi to Vilma
super cute video :)
I was there its a amasing spot
Your new girlfriend and your new homespot is something to brag with! BTW: how funny is the dancing camel at 8:41?
Cool channel, subbed. Congrats!

I want to come visit! Great video! Try narrower stance on the wing!
SUPER

well, you'll have to try them on the way in! 😁
Great video Ben. July and August best time for wind like Sagres ?
Was watching vids about this place, high time I made the trip from Canada ! Just waiting for the covid stuff to settle down.
Haha, you deserve it, Ben!
I was supposed to go this year and had to cancel...(f-u-covid)...but looking forward to going next year! 😁 I'd sign-up for a clinic!
I'd love a flat water clinic there as well. Probably you wouldn't need a storm chase scenario for that. Probably not your cup of tea though.

Forecast based clinic 👍🏻
Just do both ... fixed clinic for wave progression ans storm chase for the crazy cows

@@WindsurfingTV Ok, so good forecast does not automatically mean mast and a half high waves? :-D
@@_maximilianhinz haha.. no! To be honest it would be perfect to get what i got for a clinic. Bit of jumping and a bit of riding!

COUNT ME IN for your first clinic in Viana!
Long weekend, forecast based?? 🤔🏄🏼♂️🍻
Do it.. it's such a good set up!!
I've been and agree, it's great! Ment, long weekend clinic based on a forecast?

Which sails / boards did you use?
Maximilian Hinz I’m 80kg.. I used from 4.5 to 5.0 and 85 and 90 litres boards.

Worth an ask... would be a great place to work!
What do you do for a living? How do you afford a luxury hotel? Just wondering
Sometimes you’ve got to treat the Mrs…
Is this spot suitable for a "good intermediate"? (planning, gybing, simple jumping, but no wave riding experience)
Totally... Super flat next to the harbor wall. Check the webcam: feelviana.com/pt/webcam
