Because, if you speak to a theologian and ask about Federal Headship, he'll essentially repeat back Duval said. Christ is our Federal Head, Adam was our old Federal Head, but we have died and born again in our new Federal Head the man from above. This is GOOD NEWS!!
I believe the point is that this is NOT new revelation, but very solid old revelation breathed fresh. Like the majority of the western church believes a watered down gospel, the majority of the western church believes a watered down version of federal headship- and therefore its outworkings.
