Great Game. The Kumuls showed they can put a come back despite not having the more experienced international players given the NRL finals. Coach Stanley Tepend's strategy to run this team for players to showcase their capabilities for world cup is point on. Now he's got a batch of outstanding Kumuls to select to join more experienced international Kumuls for the world cup. This game showed promise and continues growth with improvement and that's what we want to see. Our boys need more international exposure such as a PNG Kumuls Tours and Pacific Tests to improve. Looking forward to seeing the Kumuls in the coming world cup.

@@Fake-iw1qb PNG has experienced rugby league players in NRL and Super League. Follow them to know them. It is not about embarrassment, but using the opportunity to develop current potential players whom shall strengthen the Hunters, gain opportunities to play in other NRL feeder clubs/NRL clubs, Super League/Super League feeder clubs. All in all, players further develop to bring skills/game quality into PNG Kumuls. That's a strategy approach to make the PNG Kumuls become better.

The great Bal Numapo told me once " to win games you need to have centrals/papuans playing along side you in the Kumul team". They have that extra edge to win games.
True, we need players with more flexibility to maneuver easily..some are abit stiff..workouts should concentrate more on flexibility not beefing mus les coz you wear out quickly with more mass on your body..good experience for our kumuls.
Philip Boge and Tuksie Karu were some of the greats. They can play some fancied top class foot ball. come on get some of our Papuan guys. They have the ability you might not have.
Coates, Nene, Morea. For me Gabbie is the best back besides Olam - just needs a good team

64 + 64 😓🙄 Skinned us alive.... We still need more NRL players and experience, PNGRL don't have enough pathways for local PNG players like other Pacific nations that's why we'll still be like this until we change the management of PNGRL and the people running the show.

All the reason why NRL players should get choice to play for heritage nations - Australia has great depth; Australia can field 3 teams at WC n have at least 2 teams at knock out stages with ease

Aussie strategy was minimizing contact by early kicks down field, passing ball out wide, doing more kicking at the goal line and picking on PNG's weak spots. They plan and execute tactical games, especially so that the effects on them from PNG's physical contacts is minimized. The early kicks in the 2nd and 3rd tackle counts say it all.
I'm sure coaching team would have picked these up. Next time, Kumuls 20, Aussies 30.

this boys in kumuls jersey are rookies from digicel cup which gives way to hunters selection and to kumul. however almost all players are not in the NRL squad but managed to score. anyways it was a peacefull match
