    I went on this ride today, and I’m with you, the first launch is very weak, and you are right it does feel like it just glides through the track.
    The inversions were FANTASTIC! Definitely would ride again 🧡

    That last inversion is the kicker! I have never felt such dread with my hands up in this element. I have spoken to many riders and hands up for this element alone makes it.

    everytime i’ve visited Taipan’s operations are fast and very efficient, even with the the RFDI reader it’s faster then Rivals or Village’s overall operations.

      Interesting! A few times that I've been, there hasn't been any lines, so it was hard to really judge since they weren't consistently operating anyway. But the few times I have been with crowds, they were running one train and it was very slow. Good to hear they are capable of running it quicker, hopefully I'll experience that next time!

      @@MaloneysCoasters normally when i visit (2 train scenario) the first train is dispatching as soon or shortly after the second train parks, even with one train i still find it to be pretty fast compared to other big rides at the village parks.

    Ive ridden the spinning seats, they are absolutly insane! I love these seats but they are TOO EXPENSIVE

    The 2nd reverse launch seems to be an homage to the Tower of Terror 2.

    The mid course brakes aren’t there for no reason. It’s so when they have 2 cars if one gets stuck before reaching the end they can stop the ride. Where as for example DC rivals (if running 2 cars) has to wait for the one car to reach the final brakes before sending the other off.

    • @MaloneysCoasters
      @MaloneysCoasters  Год назад +1

      Yes, however dispatches are never capable of being fast enough for that to be necessary in my experience. That comment was not saying it’s literally there for no reason, it was saying it’s rarely if ever of any use because the loading procedure takes too long for that block zone to be still occupied

      From footage I’ve seen it doesn’t even look like the mid-course has the capability to stop a moving train. It has no drive tires or friction brakes. Would’ve been nice if they had modified it into an element.

    • @jjk5981
      @jjk5981 10 месяцев назад

      @@weirdthings9583 I agree. Also, even if it did stop the train it would be extremely painful as the brakes would have to slam HARD.

    Interesting point on the straight track causing it to have less speed, would you say it results in better hang time on the inversions. I’m sill looking forward to getting on my first blue fire, but copperhead strike has a slower launch and it results in great hangtime.

    • @MaloneysCoasters
      @MaloneysCoasters  Год назад

      Unfortunately it’s not slow enough for good hang time. It tends to run at a speed that isn’t fast enough for positive Gs, but also not slow enough for hang time.

    I feel it would be way better if it went a bit further forward when going onto the launch section, and starting with a reverse launch into the spike then coming back through too the layout. The first launch forward is just meh and wasted space imo

    • @MaloneysCoasters
      @MaloneysCoasters  Год назад

      The first launch definitely isn't very powerful, I agree. The initial kick can be OK if you're not expecting it, but it's very weak.
