An actual Icelandic person here. We are very fond of salt licorice and candy peppers.
The pink thing inside Hjúp Lakkrís is sort of a marsipan. Amusingly enough we are having a licorice/pepper is very popular here and has been for years. I reccomed getting some vanilla icecream and mixing bit of tyrkish pepper with it, it's really nice.
The dried fish, eat it with butter. Take little pices and put bit of butter on it and eat, that's the proper way. If you got any questions just ask away.
Thanks for the explanation. I'd love to visit Iceland someday but I'll bring my own candy. I hate black licorice and am not very fond of salty things. Actually I may starve there as I don't really liked pickled things either.

My mum said it's kind of like a mix of marzipan and licorice all sorts, covered in chocolate. (I'm half Icelandic, going there again in June/July)

The Tyrkisk Peber (Turkish pepper?) candies are from Fazer, Finland's largest chocolate company, and "lakkrís" is Icelandic for licorice, so the pink candies are coconut-filled black death pills. Northern Europeans, including the Brits, have a tendency to like licorice moreso than elsewhere in Europe.

The candy you didn't know (fyltur hjúp lakkrís) liquorice filled with marzipan and cowered in chocolate. P.S. it's really popular in Iceland to eat dried fish with some butter, it's really delicious so if you ever buy dried fish again you should try that. Love from Iceland❤

So your 4th candy was actually from Finland! It's made by the Fazer company which happens to make some of the BEST chocolate in the woooorld! It's also some of the strongest salty black licorice (called Salmiakki) that they make... You gals are brave af!

Two of those candy choices were actually not Icelandic! The Tyrkisk Peber is Norwegian and the Pingvin Oplukkere is Danish! Otherwise the video was a lot of fun! I also hate the overwhelming amount of dark liquorice we have here in Iceland... It's just too much!!! Sincerely, an Icelandic fan :)
