Left: Cautious Skepticism with a hint of optimism. Middle: Unrestricted excitement and Joy. Right: Nostalgic indulgence and intense, sporadic happiness. Basically everything I felt at once while watching this trailer myself for the first time.
Love this reaction video. The daughter never takes her eyes off the screen. The dads excitement builds throughout the trailer and you can see him getting more and more emotional. The mom shows no reactions until the moment Han Solo comes on the screen and then the big smile breaks out. LOL!
You have a new subscriber after I watched that. Genuine reaction video and your little girls face said it all about the magic of Star Wars. Awesome job guys!
I love seeing all the guys tear up over this trailer. You can really tell the true fans who gets up loving all of these movies, the could city theme always gets me. I've seen the movie and the trailer still gives me goosebumps!
Lyra shows how each of us old-timers feel about the trailer, and Alex with his "Could it be possible, this time it will be great?" visage - epic win!!! Thanks to all :)
+megatron1384 Thanks Megatron. This is still my favourte trailer. Oh hey if you've not heard it yet we did a bunch of Transformers shows and the one on Prime was particularly enthusiastic. Check them out. -Alex
I didn't know you guys did reaction videos. And it only took two years for it to pop up on my RUclips recommendations. But I gotta say, it was worth the wait; I loved it!
+Ben Hayes Short version: Later, if the patreon brings in more people. Long version: We should probably do an explanatory video about that. The first four were made to see if we could do a video series and how much time and effort it would take per week, AND if they could be juggled with New Century and the podcast. It was VERY stressful, my writing slipped back down the priorities and ended up endangering the flow of New Century. Also, to make the recording look better and be less stop/start/stop/start we need to be living in a quieter, lighter house, which, by next summer we should be. But we've also made it a stretch goal of the patreon because of the sheer amount of work involved. If we're going to do these as well as everything else we put out every month then we need to be bringing in more to make it worth the stress and reduce the requirement for finding freelance work to make ends meet.
+Digital Drift Well I'll have to try harder as a patreon and do my part by spreading the word to more people of the truly brilliant wok the Digital Drift team can deliver.
+Ben Hayes Have you seen my wok? It is indeed beautiful. Do not worry about not being a good enough patron. Every single one of you is doing a fantastic job supporting me. This is just a matter of numbers. We need more people to jump aboard. And I need to get better at marketing that wok of mine.
+Aaron Xiao Anyone might die. I don't want to speculate until we see it. But rest assured, once we have we'll be doing an all-out, guns-blazing episode.
You know wether this will live up to expectations or not..I expect this film to be a fun ride..with involving characters..I trust in Abrams to set the trend and deliver...episode 8 and 9 will have pretty good directors as well..
+Rhoderian Gadia exactly. even if this disappoints and doesn't live up to the glory of the original trilogy, it would most probably still be a lot better than the prequels
The little girl's reaction is priceless. Shame she chose that moment, when the shots were coming thick and fast, to drink her milk - she probably missed half of the shots.
+BlockABoots Completely different production team. Completely different ethic. If anything they're using the prequels as perfect reverse-yardsticks for what NOT to do. Being cautious and guarded is absolutely natural at this stage, but Sharon and I can't shut ourselves off and refuse to be excited or hopeful.
+BlockABoots there's no way in HELL these movies can suck as bad as the prequels. Sure, they might not be the best. They might even be weak or relatively disappointing. But even the worst case scenario is a thousand times better than anything done in the prequels. Regardless of how this holds up as a film - it is almost guaranteed to be to be highly entertaining - at the least.
+BlockABoots notwithstanding your disillusions, for sure you will go to see it ... Because hope is stronger than delusion... and this film is really A New Hope ;D

Basically everything I felt at once while watching this trailer myself for the first time.
I don't know which is cuter - Lyra's pure excitement, or Alex's pure joy.
Raising your children -you're doing it right
I love how so many Europeans love Star Wars so much, they're waking up in the middle of the night or super early to watch this trailer. Truly global!
"We should probably go see that..." Prefect!
Probably one of the best reaction videos to the trailer out there. Were you tearing up at the end?
+Digital Drift We've been too long from this world.
Love this reaction video. The daughter never takes her eyes off the screen. The dads excitement builds throughout the trailer and you can see him getting more and more emotional. The mom shows no reactions until the moment Han Solo comes on the screen and then the big smile breaks out. LOL!
Your wife and daughters faces when it showed Han saying, "All of it." was priceless. May the Force be with you.

The little one excited and drinking milk...adorable.
"We should probably go see that!"... best. reaction. ever! XD
Lyra shows how each of us old-timers feel about the trailer, and Alex with his "Could it be possible, this time it will be great?" visage - epic win!!! Thanks to all :)
OMG Lyra is the cutest thing ever! Her reaction (HUGE EYES) is the best!
I had the same reaction, man. I am finally home. After all these years. They don't know. Only you know.
"we should probably go see that" Excellent.
I know i'm late on posting this but man, what a beatiful and true reaction! Both of you are raising that cute little rebel like a boss!
Awww Alex... your daughter is SOOOO adorable.
Also I love your own tears buddy. I've listened to your episodes on it 2 times before now, but I hadn't seen this before. I LOVE you guys
+megatron1384 Thanks Megatron. This is still my favourte trailer. Oh hey if you've not heard it yet we did a bunch of Transformers shows and the one on Prime was particularly enthusiastic. Check them out. -Alex
I am actually MightyMegatron0 on twitter. I am still waiting for you guys to do seasons 2 and 3 of TF Prime lol. I know you will eventually.
I didn't know you guys did reaction videos. And it only took two years for it to pop up on my RUclips recommendations. But I gotta say, it was worth the wait; I loved it!
To see a child's eyes light up at a Star Wars trailer is amazing, to me that is and always will be what Star Wars is about!!!
First reaction to the trailer I've seen. Everyone's reaction made me smile. I have no doubt that this is going to be an excellent movie.
The little girl says what we're all feeling.
Love the reaction and the R2D2 robe! ;) May the Force be with you all.
Greets from the Netherlands.
Thanks for a great and genuine reaction! Greetings from Denmark!
Three of my favourite reaction to this trailer from left to right in one video
Somebody involved in this film is clearly a fan of Nausicaä (a bit of Laputa: Castle in the Sky in there as well).
Have you seen the international trailer its awesome
This is parenting done right. You're a hell of a good dad.
Man, i was just like you watching the trailer. Big hug from Chile =)
When did you guys record this? You (Alex) look pretty exhausted. Really great to see those unguarded reactions though.
+Greg LeVine It was 7am. I stayed up late hoping it would drop but surrendered at 2am... so five hours sleep I guess. Totally worth it!
"I want it now!
...I want it NOOOOW!"
:)
I like how this man is about to cry, and his daughter is in the back drinking her milk....subbed
The cuppa tea just made me crack up!!
I don't know if I understood how much Star Wars meant to Alex until now. Seeing his face. Also, Lyra is the best.
...ok this was adorable
Your reaction is amazing and your daughter the cutest thing evar.
When can we expect the next episode of school of movies? love the series.
+Ben Hayes Short version: Later, if the patreon brings in more people.

+Ben Hayes you deliver woks now apparently lol
+Ben Hayes Have you seen my wok? It is indeed beautiful.
Do not worry about not being a good enough patron. Every single one of you is doing a fantastic job supporting me. This is just a matter of numbers. We need more people to jump aboard. And I need to get better at marketing that wok of mine.
I went into hiding after the Jedi returned, I've come out as the force has awoken!
I had the exact same face as Alex. Do you guys think Luke might die in this movie?
+Aaron Xiao Anyone might die. I don't want to speculate until we see it. But rest assured, once we have we'll be doing an all-out, guns-blazing episode.
+Aaron Xiao We will see end of the or ep VIII
But Spoilers:
Some screenshot leaked from luke
+Aaron Xiao Not Luke...maybe Han Solo or Chewbacca..or Possibly even Poe Dameron
+Rhoderian Gadia rip
Eduardo Molina I really didn't call it though. I just thought ::::SPOILERS:: 50/50 Either Chewie or Solo dies
Yeah, i'm with you, Alex.
Haha. Tearing up alongside the dad...
That was adorable :)
That was my reaction too
Thanks for the video guys!
There is no way the mother can deny her daughter. She was a mini-me.
the force is strong with this one
best reaction. I did not know who to look at? The Dad or the Daughter
+Klayhamn If the movie's anything like the trailer. . . I'll be dehydrated from happy tears.
Love y'all, love the trailer.
Sweet Carol Danvers necklace
Well guys, your daughter's a girl after my own heart. She looked less ridiculous than I did bouncing up and down though.
true fans
I want it now!!!!!!!!!
dads crying..rest of family thinking ok..exactly what happened in my family....👍
We should probably go see that. Ne'er a truer statement.
haha your daughter's reaction was super cute
I'm sorry...I hardly can watch your reaction when there's the trailer running. I was just looking at the trailer...again.
The look on that kid's face... that's what it's all about.
I believe I had the same exact reaction as your kid
The little girl's reaction is priceless. Shame she chose that moment, when the shots were coming thick and fast, to drink her milk - she probably missed half of the shots.
+FX Lord Hah! I have to rewind stuff occasionally because BOTH of my ladies look away or drink milk or sneeze or all three over brilliant moments!
Yeah remember how good Episode One looked from the trailer!?.........well im just saying.
I've been fooled 3 times previously and wont be again.
+BlockABoots Completely different production team. Completely different ethic. If anything they're using the prequels as perfect reverse-yardsticks for what NOT to do. +BlockABoots I have more faith with Abrams behind it. He didn't disappoint with Star Trek. I see no reason he would fail here.
+BlockABoots notwithstanding your disillusions, for sure you will go to see it ... Because hope is stronger than delusion... and this film is really A New Hope ;D
The little girl's face reactions is the best. Her little mouth is hanging open at times!.
Yeah I had a similar reaction XD
Haha I want it now!
