Yeah, maybe. But I think Games like Theese are so good because talented people know they have to deliver the best with the Limited resources they have to compete. And they can follows their Vision And passion. And No Investor tells them: Hey You, Money-Slave, I want live Service stuff and extraction Shooter Elements because the kids seem to Like that!" We don't need Bethesda II.
Thank you guys for this game. It's been one of those foundational games that hit me like Skyrim did. I know you may be sick of hearing that comparison, but you made something real special here.
@futuregenesis97 while they're obviously inspired by Skyrim and TES in general, i'm sure the devs would appreciate being complimented for their own originality rather than being called a good Skyrim clone or whatever. it's like whatever random non-FromSoft soulslike only being praised for being similar to the Souls series, rather than being praised without mentioning the latter, even though that's what inspired its creation in the first place.
@futuregenesis97 Skyrim represents a lot of things in the industry. It was visually stunning at release, it was huge for its time. It had tremendous levels of detail for a big open world. Yet it was also mechanically simplified, dumbed down compared to previous titles, failed to produce a satisfying combat system after years of fans expressing they wanted it. It was indicative of a philosophy that emphasized formula and graphics over innovation and creativity. In many ways, Tainted Grail is a response to that. It’s not graphically ahead of its time, the world is not quite as detailed as TES. But it offers a very nuanced and varied path for progression that allows for tons of build variety. The combat system rewards skill and timing instead of just trading hits until someone falls over. It has mechanical depth, with interactions between perks and equipment fundamentally changing how you play and approach situations. Tainted Grail is innovative and mature in its design. These are all things that TES has failed to deliver for nearly two decades now. TES6 is likely going to continue in a similar vain. A technically beautiful game and open world with shallow roleplaying mechanics and systems.
@krillepille2004 only performance issue I've encountered is the fps dropping after fast travel and only for a few seconds. If you haven't played after latest updates you should go back. Xbox series s
Might actually come back to this game after Crimson Desert. The setting and ambience were amazing on release but the game itself definitely needed work, which it seems to be getting
Wooow thanks guys! Glad I paused at the beginning of Act 3. I'm in love with AR boardgames for quite a while and the journey continues with their software games.
I love this game, you guys took up a space in the community left empty for far to long. I'm extremely excited to see what you come up with next, keep at it!
Been quite a while since a big, complex game's engrossed me so much. 40 hours flew by, and I'm still on Act 2. Which is good, considering Act 3 updates.
This game was my GOTY last year. I absolutely love this game. I've put just about 200 hours into it and I'm still in Cuanacht. I did every single side quest, collected every single rare equipment piece in Horns of the South. I'm going to 100% this game before i play the DLC. This game is easily worth $44.99. I haven't felt this way over a game in years. I felt it with Oblivion and Skyrim, Fallout 3 and NV, Red Dead 1&2, Borderlands 2, KCD1, Tainted Grail, etc.
@legixnkanashii222 it's not stuttery at all for me. I get 60fps pretty much consistently. It might drop here and there at specific points but that's it.
@legixnkanashii222 Summons causes issues even on a 5070 TI. 5 summons + 10 + enemies and the FPS drops significantly. It still needs work. I had my fun with it though.
Just bought the dlc the other day and im loving it. Love to see all the updates dropping for the game and how well you all have been taking care of it post launch! I'd honestly buy more story dlc to help keep everything going. Maybe something like a fire area to contrast the first dlc and or something that delves deeper into the fore dwellers would be amazing!
Can I ask why though ? I’m not trying to diss I’m genuinely trying to understand why people are hyping this game so much. I’m almost 20 hours in and it’s so shallow I’m genuinely confused as to when it’s going to turn amazing ? It amounts to running around on tiny eso sized maps with a few markers and pretty basic quests. The combat is enjoyable and pretty much the only thing keeping me playing. Everything else feels so half assed and undercooked. None of the quest are interesting. None of the systems have depth. Pick up all food and just cook whatever. Less than a handful of basic things to do on a map. Terrible stuttering and frame rate. Very basic enemy AI. Basic quests, basic maps. Basic loot. Basic voice acting. What exactly is that you are all hyping about ?
@TylerBrowne-c9f Literally just being a contrarian. Calling something 'basic' isnt an actual critique. You have to justify what makes the thing basic. Your comment about there being 'a handful of basic things to do' doesn't even make sense. It's a Bethesda-styled RPG. It's here to tell a narrative while being semi-open world and explorable while you build your own character.
Seriously guys, I hope you keep on supporting, improving, and expanding on this game for a long time. Tainted Grail FoA is one of those RPG games that quickly fell into my list of personally beloved and frequently replayed. Together with Dragon's Dogma 1, Torchlight 2, Fallout New Vegas, Dying Light 1, and Wasteland 2.
Same with me but TG still doesn't capture the beautiful ambiance of the natural surroundings, though. Still. Not a single game to this day captures nature like Skyrim did. Like in Skyrim. That one single bandit sitting on that tree laying across that waterfall. It is painted in my mind till the day I die. 😊
Would love an update to the photo mode in the future. Let us use it while on horseback, give us a freecam, more poses etc. Absolutely love this game and can’t wait for future updates
Thank you for your continued support. You guys deserved selling all those fuck ton of copies. Please please please add more character creation options. Love you guys
I sincerly hope this games success has given you the ability make another one.
They should they sold one million copies
Yeah I have more hope for Tainted Grail 2 than I do for Elder Scrolls 6.
Gameplay is fine but story is poorly written as it was generated by an LLM. If they made another they better actually write it by hand
@blank___blackasdhow do you know this?
@blank___blackasd do better then. are you that stupid to think that everything nowadays is generated by AI?
Imagine these devs with Bethsda level funding
ok, i did.
@AtomicEywas it cool
Yeah, maybe. But I think Games like Theese are so good because talented people know they have to deliver the best with the Limited resources they have to compete.

We don't need Bethesda II.
YEEES. game is one of my favourites of last year
Deserved love at the VGA's.
Great Game
You like stutter ?
@bensmith5288 Stutter? When is the last time you played?
Those devs knows how to make a f***** epic ambience. The soundtrack is gorgeous
most of it are from bands like Danheim, the only credit to the developers is to include it in the game
Thank you guys for this game. It's been one of those foundational games that hit me like Skyrim did. I know you may be sick of hearing that comparison, but you made something real special here.
Why would they be sick of it when this game playing like Skyrim was intended.

@kolbywilliams7234 it was never visually stunning @ release, lol, it looked still 10 years outdated xD
Gameplay is fine but story is poorly written as it was generated by an LLM
This game is criminally underrated. Can’t wait to return to it for another play through!
That's how a game that is cared for after release looks like!
Still one of the worst performance wise and has been since launch. And they've already released dlc instead of fixing it.
Still Unplayable on ps5
@tommacleod9840 This is a PC first game! Play on PC.
@krillepille2004 only performance issue I've encountered is the fps dropping after fast travel and only for a few seconds. If you haven't played after latest updates you should go back. Xbox series s
@krillepille2004 mimimi
Been playing about a month now and I am in LOVE!
This game is a gift that keeps on giving.
Seems like the right time to jump in 💪
Wait 4 years till they stop it stuttering
Lucky guy! Enjoy! 😉
this looks sick guys !! im super excited and im so glad yall are keeping up the good work!!
Might actually come back to this game after Crimson Desert. The setting and ambience were amazing on release but the game itself definitely needed work, which it seems to be getting
Lets go! Another DLC please!
I hope we'll see a location featuring Camelot itself in one of the expansions.
Wooow thanks guys! Glad I paused at the beginning of Act 3. I'm in love with AR boardgames for quite a while and the journey continues with their software games.
Woohoo! Seems like a great time to jump back in ❤
Currently at the start of my first playthrough. It's good to know that the game is still being updated.
Just a small comment to let the devs know they’re the best
Thank you. I took a break just shortly after getting to the Forlorn swords. Will defiantly check this out
I just found this gem, and I am greeted with an actual patch that includes content.
I am gonna get this game at some point. I don’t get a lot of time to game these days but these guys deserve it.
Excited! I literally finished my first playthrough a week before the dlc came out. It'll be great to return to a mountain of content!
Thank you, I just arrived to area 3 yesterday and bought the expansion pack. I'm really enjoying the game, it has me engage.
Still on my wishlist since launch, maybe its time to get it!
The once and future King!!!
Keep up the good work guys!
I like this game, and I'm looking forward to more updates. This game has a lot of potential. I hope they add underwater dungeons and more enemies.
Thank you guys ❤ we appreciate your work 😊 keep it up please 🙏
I don't think I'll play it again, but I'm super happy to see that you guys stood up for your game. Great game!
Why not?
@nilakalis I get bored easily in second walktroughs. I rarely play second time.
@YagizKocOyun yine degisik secimler ve buildler yapabilirsin de anliyorum dedigin seyi
More hyped for Tainted Grail 2 than TESVI.
The gift that keeps on giving. Thanks for crafting this masterclass of an RPG!

this game is not worthy 44.99 at all, is a stuttery mess
@legixnkanashii222 it's not stuttery at all for me. I get 60fps pretty much consistently. It might drop here and there at specific points but that's it.

@TylerBrowne-c9f They are just nostalgic people. Its great 2011 like game and thats wha they love about it. Nothing more.
That's my baby in the thumbnail the ravencrest executioner
Thanks Team!
I still haven’t picked this up yet but I promise I will!
I can't wait to play again 💛
This is one of the best games Ive ever played
I really hope for physical release
Absolute video game
Excellent update!
Enjoy this game
giving us a copy of the weapon is cool af.
behold, a true treasure
Glad act 3 is receiving some content and updates. Finished the game recently and boy was that area heavily under cooked.
What a great job and update like always! You don't see any text in the main menu so you can't start the game.
Yes, yes, yes! Thank you!

I keep making new characters!
Reminder that we want a Grimcoven game next!
Thanks all this looks like a solid update.
Good news! Thank you!
Can we get a tailor for appearance options
This game is my new skyrim. Only -you know- better❤

Man. If Skyrim had all the elements that TG offers. It would be absolute perfection. 😊
Would love an update to the photo mode in the future. Let us use it while on horseback, give us a freecam, more poses etc. Absolutely love this game and can’t wait for future updates
Honestly please keep up the great work and know this game did deserve a GOTY nomination
Thank you for your continued support. You guys deserved selling all those fuck ton of copies. Please please please add more character creation options. Love you guys
When is the physical release trailer? I'd love to support the game.
Omg you fixed the torches, too. EEEE! TY 🥰 😍 🥹
That's soo cool!!
I just bought this game today, haven’t played it yet but excited.

What a bloody great game. Thoroughly enjoyed this.
Oh no, I'm going to have to play through it. Again.
