And Doughtery confirms they are both equally intelligent. All of this, is why Godzilla won so easily by the end of the fight. The moment he got his claws on Kong, it was over. Kong had no chance against Godzilla in a straight up brawl. His punches and drop kick did no damage at all. Merely knocked him down and annoyed him. He needed the axe (with enough energy charge) to do any damage. And while it helped him put up a fight, it merely enraged Godzilla and he got aggressive. Kong was helpless and was nearly beat to death. If 1954 Godzilla fought 1933 Kong (let’s say he was the same size), it would still be in Godzilla’s favor. Kong has NOTHING to bring to the table.
