Holy crap! Here I am browsing videos for my cab sim and who do I see?! Blast from the past, Wes and Keny in their own gear show!!! Looks like it's been a couple years since your last upload, hope you guys are well and COVID didn't eff with y'all too much. Great content guys. Take 'er easy.
Nick!...what up my dude!...yeah man...Wes and I both moved to different parts of the country...but yeah covid put a halt on the show...😕...all good tho...hope all is well for you bro!
Hey thanks friends! Great comparison video. I have loved the Full-Drive 2 for a long long time. It only recently came off my board, but it’s still hanging around.
You cannot place a copyright on a circuit. You can copyright the circuit board layout, and pedal artwork is trademarked. It cannot look the same, but analog circuitry cannot be copywritten.
Men, I just got meself 3 MXR Fet Drivers in 1 week, heartily recommend for any type of music, BUttts: I also just tried out an IRIN California Sound(22€), and that cali has a good warm Jazz tone..., and I do have arriving an Irin Maximum, so noo worries!!! some of cheap-priced pedals aint cheap in tone at all, if youre going against chinese your wong man you wong!! Cheers from far North, Finland: 20 Celsius, Kimmo⛸
I liked the guitar on 4:18 inspired by Jack White but definitive your own, made me pickup my drumsticks. Can you guys compare that Joyo with a ep booster? I can not find such on YT but I am curious.
All big muffs are not the same. But they sure do get close don’t they. And for the price do you think the untrained ear can can hear the difference, especially with a full band jamming!?! I think not... save you some money!
Hi man im so hoping you could do the joyo america or americana fenderesk pedal through you dsl 20 head please im so curios of its changes it promises and its an amp on its own
I have a Full-Drive 2 Mosfet, and I love it! (also the OCD and the Mas Malo, which is a great distortion/fuzz pedal you guys would probably dig!) I scrolled down so I couldn't see the video the 1st time thru and I could hear a difference for sure. On re-watch it was just as I suspected, The Joyo just sounds cheaper and thinner. It's like when you've got a day off the day before payday but only enough cash to get Milwaukee's Best, it'll do the job, but you'll regret it a few hours in.
YB Negative lol “the beast” that brings back some memories of horrible hangovers when i was younger...But yeah i ended up keeping the full-drive 2 mosfet...i think it’s a great sounding pedal...it lives on my board these days
@@theatxgearshow2647 if you have a Pedal Power power supply (or another supply that has sag) plug it into a sag port and run it at 4-5v. (the volume light on the pedal might not work, but you'll love the way it sounds) A tip i picked up from a couple of my guitar heroes. (thanks Dale and Johnathan)
YB Negative thanks!...going to try that asap..i’ve been running it with an 18v power supply and that was fun, it’s really the same just a little beefier...totally gonna plug it into the PP2+ with sag and see what that’s like! 🤘😎🤘
@@theatxgearshow2647 I just got one used yesterday for 64 the full drive version... But as a performer that's also a busker and more related to the power thing, if you want 5 volts you can get them from those 5volt battery backup take a long thingies. when I'm out I take two of them and I run them in series getting just a little under or over 10 volts. Just take two identical ones the positive from one the negative from the other and then hook the positive and the negative together that are left over... We all should have plenty of those phone charging cords that are broken and just waiting to be spliced together.
Even if it did have a patent on some special feature the Fulltone is 15 years old. A patent at it's very best would never go past 5 years old. Add to that there are literally only 7 different basic ways to create an analog OD circuit and they were all discovered and used in the last century. In short the Fulltone is a variation of a Opamp based Boss pedal. It's now always a case of he who is without sin casting the first moan, lol.

The settings between the same pedal will be slightly different because of parts tolerances.
Great content guys. Dig your show!
GUITAR Gateway thank you!..and thank you for watching! 🙏❤️😊

@@theatxgearshow2647 I'm thinking of the full drive 3? The black one I think it is but damn it I always buy dirt pedals lol
@@TheDistortionPrinciple We haven't tried that one yet, although we've tried the full drive 2 V2 (the red version). Drive pedals rock!
Sounds close to me. I like the first riff on the Gibson. I’ll be trying to learn it.
Great comparison! I just uploaded a review of the Joyo to my channel. I think it`s a really versatile pedal, great for lower gain rock!
I prefer the joyo sound.

The Maximum sounds "digital" and limiting in my ears. Ive seen some reviews of it now. Not my pedal. I do like the Joyo R-20 so far though...
