My winner of ESC 2013 and thanks to the Greeks for helping and arranging such a performance for us, this is a very emotional and unforgettable event, as well as the best, in my opinion, in the entire history of Azerbaijan in this competition. And I also want to say thank you to Farid, and that we will not forget him, even if he finishes his singing career
I didn't know all the history behind this performance and staging. The dancer in the glass box was already on stage near Ani Lorak several years before. His performance is stunning and breathtaking. I found the choreography quite audacious, especially coming from a country which isn't, like Turkey and Russia, famous for its tolerance to the LGBTQIA community. Yes, Farid deserves the victory way more than Emmelie De Forrest, which song was good but with too repetitive lyrics. I found very suspicious that Denmark won in Sweden, as we all know they are neighbour countries. What does Farid Mammadov do now ?
I see a lot of people who don't like this entry. I think this is absolutely brilliant though, one of my faves of 2013 even when I first watched it as a kid.
A masterful and elegant staging that hypnotizes with Farid's professional attitude as the singer of the song. The symmetry of movements between the two boys is amazing (1:47) as well as the entrance of the girl in red on stage (2:00) with that stylized dress that perfectly details her spine. Delicacy and perfection brought to life by Azerbaijan.
