      A sigma rises to the occasion and does not fail in circumstances where he chooses to excel.
      There is a look in the eyes of a Sigma that can not be replicated by anyone other than a true Sigma.
      When you see this look, you know that something truly amazing is about to happen.

      Yeah but honestly I'm finding these type of videos themselves quite pretentious and self congratulatory. It's like we're true awesome sigmas, and everyone else wants to pretend they're like us. There's a real dearth of humility in the overall tone.

    • @charles2241
      @charles2241 11 месяцев назад

      @@davec3651 Some of them are exceptional and realize exactly what you're saying, but they are fairly rare. I think it good to see the traits as described, and realize it's not as unshakeable as they pretend. Instead of a sigma would never do this, or always do that, think of it as he has great tendencies to do things those ways instead. As well, that could translate just into, he's more that way than other personality types. It's actually rather easy to exaggerate sigma tendencies, simply because we're that much of an enigma from the hierarchal bunch. Myself, I'm not wholly sigma, and I actually doubt anybody ever is, but I accept that there has to be some sigma's more complete than myself to meet type description.
      The key trait is individualism, which frequently will defy type, at least in some way. For example, I conducted an experiment of the last 3-4 years that proved to myself I could talk to ANY woman, any time I have something on my mind to state or ask. One of the key anti-sigma things I did to accomplish this, was I took the total initiative, and my subjects were women that were entirely unknown to me. For the sigma trait of more knowledge, in this case, I had to step into taking the initiative with women, which almost always is considered a non-sigma trait. It was actually very refreshing to see how taking the initiative changes things, but wasn't the purpose of it at all, but a happy bi-product. It also made me solid on just how you can avoid small talk every single time (hint - take the initiative without resorting to small talk yourself. Over the course of a longer discussion, this, of course, likely would be more difficult).

  • @PhantomFilmAustralia
    @PhantomFilmAustralia 11 месяцев назад +76

    In a group discussion, Alphas tend to want to dominate the room, and Betas tend to be timid and will speak to back up the Alpha. Sigmas are usually silent, not from having nothing to say, but to absorb and process not just the verbal information, but also the non-verbal. In their silence, Sigmas allow their eyes to wander and read the room-the group's facial expressions, posture, and even their ticks, all the while listening to what the Alpha speaker is saying. From assessing these multitude of things in as quickly as a 10 seconds, the Sigma can then ascertain whether or not the Alpha speaker will reason with a rebuttal, or if the rest of the group is even interested in what's being discussed. The Sigma will ask himself, "Is this discussion even worth my time?" It's this very reason why the first person to usually to leave a circle of discussion is the Sigma.

Even those family members I am close to, seeing them more than once a month is just too much. I love projects and like to talk about them with my closest friends. Most things that I am interested in are very edge case which must be boring for them, so I have to dumb it down.

      Same. I've seen the term used in tik Tok and decided to look into it. What it boils down to is the sigma is calculating and calm with a level of integrity and precision. Peace is all he wants and he won't let anything destroy that. Either way it goes he will always maintain to the best of his ability because he has no one but himself. And the ones he care for he is there backbone. Sigma is very interesting. The quiet and commanding one.

    Conquering extreme dark days and lonely night of Isolation alone in your head, not an easy feat.

      @cuchulainn3474 @cuchulainn3474 My statement wasn't describing me. As for telling others that this side of life isn't the badass fantasy we see on TV or those that show a macho side of Lone Wolves in films.
      With that being said, you have me all wrong. Your upbringing is a factor of how you interact with the world, as well as yourself. How one treats themselves is a reflection how the world treated them.
      Being an introvert, studying to gain wisdom, being on your own and growing your own food means what to the average person? That at some point you got tired of the way you were, how Society has shied away from what it once was, Family traditions are broken, Friendship is hard to trust and you wanted an escape.
      You said you 52. Well I'm 38. So we both understand the insanity this world is molding itself into. But if you want an in depth view of my life showing that I've fully embraced the Lone Wolf life, I have a video on my channel from 2019, before the term 'Sigma' was popular to the public.
      I don't want views. I don't want subscriptions. But how you described yourself is no different to other Lone Wolves.
      At the end of the day the average world could care less of how you carry yourself in life and that is fine with Lone Wolves. Because we don't care either about the average world.

    What this and all videos like this should start out by saying is: No person is a perfect archetype of a personality. We are all blends. Some will lean more one way or another but we are all blends AND those blends are subject to change due to age, health, life events, personal situations and so on. Just like taking the Myers and Briggs personality test only reflects how you feel about things at that moment. And at just that moment only. Time, life and situations change us all. No one stays the same and as we age, personalities will change. Videos like this should be used as a guide not as a hard and set rule.

    • @puppyupper4565

      Can a Cheetah change its spots? You are not a sigma. A sigma learns and grows but cannot change his spots. You misunderstand what a sigma is. It has nothing to do with "feelings". It is about who you are deep down inside. Only God can change that. And He doesn't. He made us to be who He wants us to be, yet wants to mold each of us. He will only sharpen that what needs to be sharpened and squash that which stands in His way once a sigma is submitted to Him. It has zero to do with feelings.
      Perhaps you are an INTJ T . That T at the end stands for turbulence. Your post is turbulent. Feelings are not reality but an INTJ T thinks they are. You will never be an INTJ A. Those 2 are night and day different and can never be on the same page. An INTJ T is not a true sigma. And perhaps that is what you are FEELING.

      One caveat is that personality changing over time _can_ be a "reversion to self". In our youth, we're trying to find out who we are, and some have greater challenges in that than others (example: my Dad was VERY Alpha, and it took me a long time to be able to resist his energy and find my own). As we mature we can "settle down" into our real self. Another note is that even those who do seem to fit a given type perfectly may not manifest the traits of that type the way they're shown in videos like this. But your main point is true - these kinds of videos are good as tools for self-understanding, but shouldn't be taken too far.

    You can't fake always analyzing, thinking, and learning. Sometimes feels like an obessive driver. Every decision we make has been thoroughly though out for hours, days, weeks, months, or even years. The space and energy we require for our analysis would drive most people insane. I have always described myself as a social introvert and nobody is ever capable of understanding what I mean. I could care less about my "status" except for the drive to problem solve the situation. That is why we make great leaders. Most leaders want the praise and recognition for doing something. If they don't get that type of recognition, then they have no drive to do it.

    Sigma's see the pursuit of knowledge as collecting tools for solving problems not as a hammer to pummel others with to shame them. This is why a Sigma never stops pursuing knowledge no matter how old they get. It is because a Sigma is in constant pursuit of knowledge and understanding that they can be isolated and alone for longer than most and not feel lonely. The Sigma wants to keep their mind sharp and reflects on ideas trying to get past a simple understanding of concepts to the deep understanding that provides intuitive insight. They do this with whatever they become curious about which is what gives them their unique perspectives on everything from fields of science to politics and religion. A Sigma seldom agrees with the masses because the masses are content with being amused while a Sigma wants to truly know how the world works, how people are motivated to do what they do, how to get work done in their chosen profession to the highest degree of effectiveness. They do all of this quietly and deliberately avoid drawing attention to themselves. Often if the solve a major problem they will let others take credit for it to avoid the limelight. Not because they are timid and afraid but because solving the problem provides them with all the reward they require. Most of the time their employers do not really understand how valuable they are until they leave.

    Sigmas are top of the food chain in the spiritual realm. If they apply thier spiritual power in everyday life, they can make anyone feel uncomfortable because they can sense fakeness, weakness and expose fake tough guys without even trying and those people sense the Sigma sees and knows. But if they come across another Sigma, the mutual respect is like no other. Sigmas are best to find a job that they work alone, own a business or two. maybe work with a small group. In large groups, Sigmas, like a lone wolf will often find him/herself fighting off the hyenas that naturally can't stand the fact that the Sigma is just too damn good.

This is what some might call wiser experienced men. Who have learned from experience

      From my point of view, alphas manage jang (and not jin) and betas yin (and not yang). This is the similarity. Sigmas manage both (yin and yang together) and this is the reason why they grow up later. If a man misses any of these two skills, he is insecure (as you have written).

I'll say this for how i became here..... Years of abuse, physical, emotional, and mental. Growing up with every friend i ever made being turned against me by my family... this is not a healthy head space to live in, its a combination of survival traits earned through hard times, abuse and neglect. Aim for something more healthy, you don't want this. (if you want to train your brain to be more inline, try reading and practicing stoicism. Stoicism is what has gotten me through some of the worst experiences some one can go through)

The last time I failed to heed my intuition I dated a woman for 2 weeks then my gut said cut her lose so I did and felt an immediate peace inside. Then I talked to a buddy of mine and I let him talk me into giving her a chance. Although there were bright spots for 18 months but the confusion, stress and emotional pain was intense. That was over 20 years ago and I haven't disregarded my gut feelings since. It takes courage to follow your gut at first because there is no evidence for concern. It takes faith in yourself and to betray that faith harmful consequences follow.

In all situations, you need to be a man and enjoy any challenges that come in front of you. I get a lot of energy when I am along by myself. I read books, compose music and I love sports. I do not know who I am, but one thing I know that there's true happiness when you have true purpose and constant growth towards perfection that will be beneficial to you and the people around you. I guess all we want is to be interesting or at least interested in life. Which means we want to be unique and so we fantasize about achieving greatness by separating ourselves as much from the average as possible, to validate ourselves. We hope to be unique but fail to do so for the very reason that we need to do so, the societies in which we live do not accept us. The people in our lives do not want what is best for us, and everyone else seems to just harm us as much as possible, whenever possible. It seems like a one horse race because we are against all of them, bound by all of them and so unable to fight back since they outnumber us. Therefore we plan to just break free from the chains which they hold us in by committing the craziest acts possible, the most meaningful acts possible, so that we can leave afterwards, so that we can feel calm afterwards. But of course this is easier said than done and so we wallow in this world. We post montages online of characters who embody what we must embody to commit such crazy acts to escape this delirium. But hopefully some day all of us shall acquire what we need, hopefully we shall find what we are looking for.

    I as a Sigma with what I see going on in politics today, it all comes down to the truth. And the truth is that the wealthy should live off the ignorance of others to eventually rule over a society stricken with the bliss they created. The land of confusion. Consider what you gather. And on and on and on until you see what drives in success. Do not be not a road side salesman. And you should have your own material not a pocket full of plagiarism and lies to manipulate towards your own benefits or for one cause. Jealousy is what rules the societies. If I can't have it, no one else will. And ignorantly destroy a societal benefit.
