    At 3:08, can we just skewer the king/queen by moving the rook to f6?

      I see what you mean. If White goes Kf6 and then foolishly comes back with Ke6, ...Rf6+ forces a capture of the rook or loss of the Queen, a draw either by stalemate or trade of remaining pieces. You are right!

      Actually, Jakovenko has had this ending THREE TIMES in standard time control games. So far, he's the record-holder. Maybe he deserves a video of his own!

    6:45 black can fork the white rook and king and mate in six with Qc5+. Did Svidler miss this? Surprising, even for a blitz game.

      Yes he did. It's very easy to miss such things in this ending.
