This is a Tim Foust original. He did not want to write or do country music at the time, but was asked by the guy he was working for to write a country song. Tim polished off a bottle of bourbon and a short time later "Champagne Taste" came into being. Ironically, it's a fan favorite. 😆 I can't wait for you to hear their version of "How Great Thou Art". It's going to floor you. 🖤🍟 Thanks!
Do You Hear What I Hear by Home Free is a must listen and viewing. It will blow you away.
Best wishes.
" Cold Hard Cash For Christmas " funny and one of my favorite Christmas songs.
Yes, Tim Foust wrote that song. You should react to Tim's voice in "Mayday" and if you're into going to Church, then react to "How Great Thou Art". Amazing rendition is all I can tell you.
Rob's whistling is wondrous!
The story behind this song is hilarious: Something like a decade ago Tim's employer told him to write a country song but he didn't want to. So he came up with the "worst" (his words) country song he could think of--and to this day it is one of his most popular originals 😆
"Full of Cheer" is the sequel to this song and it's a Christmas song, so I highly recommend it for the next one on your journey. Yes they're both originals.
I'm addicted to Home Free.
Tim out did himself on this song oh my gosh I absolutely love this.. Oh My goodness Home Free it's nothing you can't do..
Don’t you love when they are row boating with no water? Lol glad Avi stopped by to bump beer glasses with Tim. The harmonies, Adam’s beatboxing and Rob’s whistling were amazing! Great reaction🎉 I love Hone Free😊
Tim at one time worked for a company writing music. While there his boss insisted he needed to write and sing country himself. Tim really didn't want to so he went home, got terribly drunk and wrote this gem, what he called the most ridiculous country song ever. Just imagine, this is what the man can write while drunk! Anyway, his boss helped him to record a solo album "The Best That I Can Do" and several of the songs on there became Home Free songs. He's not the only songwriter in the group...Austin is also a very talented songwriter and the new album "So Long Dixie" is all originals written by Austin or Tim with some friends tossed in here and there. Their covers are amazing but their originals are outstanding!
I love that you've discovered Home Free.
Tim wrote this amazing song, it's a gem Tim also wrote a sequel to this called FULL OF CHEER
Tim (lead here) wrote this. His boss at the time wanted him to write country songs and he didn’t want to but the boss insisted. So, Tim got drunk and wrote this one in a night. Hahaha one of their best songs. I love the lyrics….”I won’t see her pretty face at all since the prison’s no where near the mall”. Hahaha. Yeah Tim has a 5 octave range so he can sing super low and then sing up with the tenors. You might want to hear his original Snow Globe where he sings pretty high. Good reaction Mello.
Oh wow!😂 Thanks for the back story
I think my favorite underrated line is "I won't see her pretty face at all 'cause the prison's nowhere near the mall". XD
THE BEST!
These boys are such goofballs sometimes however there harmonies are always on point and the cameo at the end was Avi the former bassist for PTX another amazing singer that's a good friend of Home Free. Great reaction
Yea I heard he left PTX
When you said: he’s got great range. I actually said(out loud) “oh honey you ain’t heard nothing yet!” Every note he sings in this song, I would say, is in his mid-range…
There’s an unofficial sequel to this song and it just happens to be a Christmas song, hint hint 😉 it’s called Full Of Cheer and is also written by Tim.
Awesome!
@JustAnn After she gets just a few more, she needs to hit Mayday. That's when she will truly be blown away....HAHAHAHAH
@@victorcoker2713 Exactly! But @MelloReacts you need to wait till you’re ready. When you can name all the guys and tell us their usual role in the group, then you are ready for Mayday
Home free- "How great thou art", "mayday", "hillbilly bone", "end of the road", "between a rock and a heartache", "American pie" ft. Don MacLean, "Brother", "down to the honky tonk", "Listen to the music".... These are all amazing songs that Home Free has covered. 😊❤ peace & blessings this holiday season 🙏 🎄
do not listen to mayday yet listen to all the others first after like 2 dozen songs you will be mayday ready
Isn't that Avi that makes an appearance close to the end? I do think so. Loved your reaction, Mello. (BTW, yellow makes you shine. Love it!) More of this please.
Follow this with “ full of cheer”.
Tim wrote this song. he didn't want to. he wrote it before Home Free went country. he tells the story in an interview with Elizabeth at The Charismatic Voice. i think you'd be interested in seeing it, an opera singer interviewing and a capella singer. it's pretty long, but worth time. always love your reactions.
Tim has a 5 octave range. He had several solo songs that highlight it
Welcome to the family of home fries Mello. There are something like 200 videos of HF out there, pick your genre, pick your mood, they likely have it covered. All of their music tells a story with a lesson. All of there music makes you feel something. 🌹😊
Thank you! They certainly do!
How can you not smile when watching that? What a fun video! This is an original song that Tim wrote. These guys know how to have fun without compromising their vocals. Rob is great with his whistling & love Adam's vocal percussion. Fun seeing Avi doing a cameo in this.
How can you not lol. I love it!😂
Please take a look at Their mashup of "Thinking Out Loud/Let's Get It On" It's not as funny, but it's really good.
Tim's range surprises a lot of people. They seem to love doing lighthearted songs along with the more serious ones. Their talent is mind b oggling.
Austin's voice is truly amazing. I see you are reacting to their older ones....but a new original song written by Austin was just released. The song is called "Save The World" simply amazing! Austin out did himself with this one. 😊
Thanks. Yes, I'm going down the rabbit hole😂
They don't take themselves too seriously but they are AMAZING
Our boy Tim has a 5 octave range!
🤣🤣 Tim is a great writer! Lol
Christmas music! "Full of Cheer" for a fun one. My favorite is "Do You Hear What I Hear?". If you want a deep dive into getting to know the group's voices and personalities, "The Sing Off" is the place to go. Their performances and (if you find the right video) the judges reactions are priceless. It's the group as they were in 2014, before the founder and driving force, Chris Rupp left the group. He hand-picked his replacement, Adam Chance, and went solo.
As Chris was leaving it was the 4 remaining members who chose Chance to join the group. Chris confirms that he was not involved in Chance's recruitment in an interview he did with RUclips reactor QoFy in August 2021.
@@jadaskye Wow. Did not know that. The original scuttlebutt was that Chris had chosen him. Thanks.
@@mgentles3 You're welcome. The interview with QoFy is a long one but very interesting and the pertinent info is at the 33 minute mark.
For Christmas check out "Full of Cheer", "Mary Did You Know", "O Holy Night" and "Do You Hear What I Hear". "Auld Lang Syne" for New Years.
The bass is Tim Foust. He has some solo stuff. Do yourself a favor react to his cover of "Will You Still Love Me/Stay" You will see his range.
Tim is a great song writer, not to mention his vocal range. ALL of Home Free are crazy talented, and I LOVE them all, just like I love your reactions!
WOW! you have Home Free and NO! VoicePlay. You need to check out Home Free's friends from The Sing-off. If you love Tims Bass wait till you hear Geoff Castellucci's bass could melt butter is so smooth. Headphones are required to listen to Home Free and Voice. Tim and Geoff have awesome voice ranges.
Just a real fun song by Tim that is still surprised how popular it has become.
They are so very awesome! They love to have fun! Love your reaction!
yeah Tim has a huge range. Check out Mayday to see a different side of Tim.
Another odd thing about this video is that they filmed Ring of Fire about this time and the dark haired bearded guy who inserted himself for a cameo near the end of the video was Avi Kaplan with a big country smile. A keeper for sure.
That was Avi from Pentatonix that walked across the video.
Alright Mello, now that you’re familiar with all the guys & their usual place on the octave scale, you’re finally ready to listen to Mayday & have your mind blown & us Home Fries are ready to delight in your eargasm & amazement so let’s get on it !! 😎
I would have to disagree. I don't think she's quite ready yet. Maybe do Country Roads and get a glimpse of all 4 of them in one song....then maybe Mayday
Sounds like you are about to go down the Home Free rabbit hole. It is a wonderful experience. For a wonderful harmony experience, listen to How Great Thou Art and Auld Lang Syne.
Tim wrote this.
Helplessly Hoping cover will give you chills!
Great voices with a wicked good marketing plan
Great reaction! The guys are amazing and so much fun. Thanks.
So,now you have to react to Full of Cheer the Christmas song Tim wrote as a follow up to this one. Thanks for your reaction!
From what I can remember the overalls Tim is wearing are the same pair that the guy in Butts is wearing
This song has a sequel. Full of Cheer
I like the part, I'll never see her face at all cause the the prisons no where near the mall!🤣
You should Check out Mayday, then You will see Tim's Range.
Now you need to follow it up with "Full of Cheer" which is Tim's part 2 of the story.
NICE
If you want to hear another good laugh song , check out Vince Gill " It's Hard to Kiss the Lips at Night"
I thought you new that Tim has a 5 octave range Miss Mello My Love
Did you not catch that gut that walked through at the bar was Avi from Pentatonix
Tim is chock full of range! 😁😉 Check his solo doo wop music. Will You Still Love Me/Stay or Since I Don't Have You would be a good start.
To hear Tim's range listen to Brothers in Arms. Then go to his private channel and listen to his solo work.
THANKS!
Happy New Year Mello hope you have a fantastic year I love you’re channel keep it up
What a fun reaction!
One word: Hillbilly Bone! 😏😎
#HOGARMY
Great reaction except you had no idea who the Great Avi Kaplan as
he strolled in front of them!
Avi Kaplan is a classically trained Basso Profundo.singer/songwriter
He was the bass for Pentatonix for 6 years
This video is Avi sitting in his cabin deep in the mountains and forests or Tennessee.

🍾🍺❤🤠
No one said anything about Austin's girlfriend playing Tim's wife!! She's also in another couple of vids with them.
No that isn't Austin's girlfriend but an actress filling the part. This video was filmed some years before Amberly came on to the scene.
When A Man Loves A Woman
I did that already
@@MelloReacts another fun factor song is, Never Gonna Give You Up.
Check out Tims deep voice in the song ruclips.net/video/4Y9t3l-1BFU/видео.html
suggest Ring of Fire, then How Great thou art and some others but pls don't listen to MayDay yet wait till your well versed in the guys voices.
