Excellent videos! Please continue...your videos they are the best I have seen! I am in Cental (NE) NY..I grew up in the dirt..what you are doing is helping people to work, eat & live well...the way they are meant to! I am trying to recover from an accident, it is hard to watch people fall into junk & slowly hurt themselves with modern industries influence. It is nice to see that there is another generation teaching the natural way to take care of the human body. Thank you, thank you very much... Sincerely yours, mimo from NY
Hey neighbor 🌱I thought you might be in the Raleigh area. Love your videos & will definitely be attempting a few of your secrets this growing season. ❤️ your videos & Squeak’s latest adventures!
I love all your video, I am starting to build my garden by follow what you did, I learn so much from you. My garden mostly are asian vegetables. Please post more videos. I am mixing the soil for my race bed now and 1 also purchased 2 set of containers from Sam's. Many Thanks
Awesome, I use your same soil mix for my containers. Have you tried microgreens? You can harvest lots of brassica varieties within 7-12 days. You seed the containers very densely on top then cover with a thin layer of soil. Once they grow 2-3 inches long you can harvest and add to salads or anything you want. They contain 4-40x the nutrition of the mature plants. I then just pull the root structure out and add more soil on top and repeat! Give it a try.
I've been watching you for a while and never realized you were in NC. We're in Timberlake up by Roxboro. I might have to make a trip to Raleigh to get compost for that cheap.
Man, Great video. I am always envious of your container gardens. Thnaks for showing us the way you do it. I will incorporate with my techniques. Keep up the good work my friend.
The Raleigh waste site has a good compost supply and I made the mistake of getting a F 350 truck load instead of getting 50 gallon containers. I'm 71 years old and aged two more years unloading my truck with a wheel barrel but I was able to put the compost in the area of my yard were needed. I have a compost pile of fall leaves but it takes too long to break down. Good video.
You must be doing something right because you have one of the best. . .if not THE best- looking gardens on youtube. Can't wait to see what you're growing this year! Do you re-use your container soil by adding new amendments or whatever?
Hey man, just discovered your channel, just wanted to drop some love. Your videos are entertaining and informative, your garden is beautiful and orderly, and your cat is just plain awesome. Wishing you the best of success
New subscriber. Watching your videos & the veggies you grow in containers are pretty. Have a stray cat in the neighbor & was wondering does your fence keep your cat out of your raised bed area? I was wondering where you got your supplies for your soil. Thanks for the info.
I stole your method with the tubs. It makes sense because lettuces take up too much space in my garden and my deck is not as sunny. I have 8 tubs already started. Looking forward to seeing how it does in the next few weeks.
You seem to have a very successful garden. Is there a reason you didn't use peat moss or coconut coir? Do you think potting mix is better without peat or coir?
Would you say that Mushroom compost would be fine as the compost layer of the soil mixture? I can't seem to find a place that sells regular compost in bulk in my area. Love your videos!
Most likely a dumb question, but would you recommend using a mixture of perlite and vermiculite together in a wicking container system much like an EarthBox?
I am starting a raised bed garden in a brand new area. When you first created the raised beds, did you also do 80% compost? I will look through all of your other videos but haven't found it yet.
Nice to see a new video from you! I am a beginner gardener... can you use just perlite OR vermiculite or does it have to be both? If just one, which would you say I go with? I will be planting some vegetables in containers on my patio. Thank you and please keep the videos coming!
We have a free compost center the city collects all the yard waste and mix it in the winter and make available to the city residents during the summer. They provide free wood chips and compost to city residents only. You should see that place during the weekend it's like they giving away free money LOL.
the hard to find stuff i got from a hydroponics store called Fifth Season Gardening. if u google hydroponics store in your city u should be able to locate one. i wish homedepot would carry azomite and worm castings.
On a side note: Atlantic Avenue Garden Supply is building up their hydro/aquaponic supplies. I stopped by there the other week, just to check out the place, and talked to Chris Henderson. He said that he was trying to figure out what was needed for demand in the area and was working towards actually growing stuff in the shop there. I guess it is their way of expanding to other garden areas.

Man you are so lucky to have a compost center like that. There is nothing like that where i live.
So excited to see your garden this year.
Thanks for sharing your mixture.
Yes I wrote down the recipe.

Great idea, sounds interesting. thanks
Nice video.....when I see you and squeak working in the garden, Spring is just around the corner.
Great video. Can't wait to see what you have planned for this year!
I've been watching you for a while and never realized you were in NC. We're in Timberlake up by Roxboro. I might have to make a trip to Raleigh to get compost for that cheap.
Hello. How do you fill your beds? From scratch? What do you put in, and how much does it cost to fill completely? Thank you
Man, Great video. I am always envious of your container gardens. Thnaks for showing us the way you do it. I will incorporate with my techniques. Keep up the good work my friend.
Nice vid! That's a nice looking Nissan!
Great clear instructions and high quality image. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks so much for sharing this! We are going to use your recipe for raised bed soil this year!
I've been waiting for your next video! I literally study your videos on what to do for my mini container garden
Happy for this one. I'm currently learning about these mixtures so appreciate it, thanks again. 🙀

Great video! Rural King sells worm castings for like 8 or 9 dollars for roughly the same size bags.
Greetings from India!!Great video,sir!!Thanks for uploading,cheers;)
Love the mix! The compost is pretty cheap and will last you a long time .
thanks! yeah it cost more in gas to drive there than the $6.47 for the compost :)
Great information
Very helpful 👍🏽
Love your videos! I gotta ask though, are you doing a crop rotation or just adding new soil every year?
New subscriber. Watching your videos & the veggies you grow in containers are pretty. Have a stray cat in the neighbor & was wondering does your fence keep your cat out of your raised bed area? I was wondering where you got your supplies for your soil. Thanks for the info.
I stole your method with the tubs. It makes sense because lettuces take up too much space in my garden and my deck is not as sunny. I have 8 tubs already started.
Looking forward to seeing how it does in the next few weeks.
Try Craigslist farm+garden for barrels.
Yay! More videos!
thanks!
That's like 2 1/2 hrs away great video
Thanks for posting! I've been waiting :)
thanks!

Awesome info... I noticed you drilled on the humps of the grey tub for your drain holes, is that better than the flat area?
Okay, I thought you lived further towards Winston-Salem, not in my backyard. LOL
awesome! keep it up
thanks!
Great video...what size drill bit do you use on the containers?
Great video. Have you started your tomatoes and peppers yet?
Nice to see a new video from you! I am a beginner gardener... can you use just perlite OR vermiculite or does it have to be both? If just one, which would you say I go with? I will be planting some vegetables in containers on my patio. Thank you and please keep the videos coming!
perlite. it loosens the soil and promotes healthy roots. thanks
Do you do the exact same with the white pots?
My local mulch place sells a Leaf Compost, is that the same as you/he is buying? Thank you.
nice
Nice
thanks!
I need some of those barrels
i found the barrels on craigs list. they were at a local landscaping store and cost about $25 each.
Can you mix the fish stuff and water and use over time or have to use right than? I love your cat
hi, its best to use the fish emulsion solution right away. thanks
nice.
thanks!

89DrFunk I was wondering about fungus or disease,I mean since I have been having so many problems the last two years
Hi
do you use this mix to grow your seeds and start your seeds aswell?
Where can I buy those brown compost barrels please!
Is that soil organic? Do you use chemical fertilizer? Love your videos!
Is granite dust better than azomite
Where do you get them barrels?
Do you know where we can get compost from in Fayetteville?
Where did you get the barrels?
Is this the same mix for your raised beds?
What about your potted peppers?
when to use Alska morbloom?
What's azomite for?
great soil, but on the down side, you're food is costing you a small fortune if you figured out all the costs.
Is this soil considered organic
yes, the perlite is made from volcanic glass and the vermiculite is a safe inert material mined from rocks.
Where do you buy you amendments?
the hard to find stuff i got from a hydroponics store called Fifth Season Gardening. if u google hydroponics store in your city u should be able to locate one. i wish homedepot would carry azomite and worm castings.

This is a really expensive way to fill a bed
wow cheap compost, might have to do the same
я в шоке, как у вас все дорого...
