Well ,same here. Proud to be a son of a humble carpenter. God is good talaga.

I was a Mason tender for 5 days for a friend of mine. He couldn't get anyone else to do it in the Florida sun and humidity. So I helped out. It was a 186 square meter house. We finished the walls in 5 days. Afterwards the masons that set the block said I wore them out. They didn't know it but I was totally worn out. I had to mix all the cement, keep them filled with cement, supply them with cement blocks. Hollow blocks in the Philippines. I did that for 5 days, 10 hours per day. Now you know why construction workers get good pay.

Don't underestimate cement mixing or making. I thought it was easy but kept forgetting it's all pieces of rock and water, plus you have to do it right or it's uneven and might dry out.

Job well done for a first timer CONSTRUCTION WORKER Ms.Jessica 👌👏👏👏 Too much power, muscle, efforts, smart thinking especially for safety are primary requirements when you are going to work in a construction site. Proudly saying, most Pinoy tatays especially living in hardships of life, make a living for their whole family in this way. We are happy to see you tried your best just to experience being a construction worker. See you on the next trabaho episode ❤❤❤

Kudos to you for trying it & not giving up 👍🏽 Having done different physical labor isnt easy but with time you get less tired. I ilke your style of approaching jobs even if its physically demanding. Not having a pushy boss helps big time in any job. Was surprised to see them pray which is good to give thanks to the Big Man. Take care & God bless you 😊

Thank you mam jesica for this wonderful vlog, i remember during my studies , this was also our part time job together with dad and other siblings, and i can't deny that i see some people na ikinakahiya at minamaliit pa ang mga construction worker, olny in the philipines po!
I adore mam jesica for his energetic influence to inspire more people for this kind of noble work, nakakatuwa po na isang foreigner pa ang nagbavlog ng ganito and for me nakakahiya na kapwa pilipino pa ang nandidiri sa mga construction worker na katulad ko....
Anyway godbles mam jesica , more power to your chanel, salamat po❤

This is what I've noticed too. Baking and construction work has plenty of similarities. My husband always tells me we can put in cement in front of our house since mixing flour with liquid ingredients is pretty similar to cement and water.

This show has a significant content. It helps anyone to feel proud of what ever job they have... actuallly its not the profession that dignify our personalty.. it the attitude we showcase that dignify us. What evrr job we are in.. Some are lawyers drs, such high profession. But some of them have low moral and no dignity.

Ok tong Vlog ni Jessica. Showing how tough it is with these type of labor jobs, so we need to be kind and compassionate towards them; not look down on them. It’s also sad how underpaid they are. Nako sa US taas sweldo ng mga ganyang job. Minsan kapantay pa sweldo sa mga ibang bachelor degree holder.

Kudos to Jessica for doing this. Walang kaarte arte, talagang willing syang matuto at gusto nya talagang gawin, hindi sya napipilitan.
I used to work in a construction site as a safety officer. My job is to oversee the safety of all the workers. I make plans to eliminate anything that may possibly bring harm to everyone at the worksite.
To be honest in construction sites like residential, they don't really do toolbox meetings and they dont really wear PPE. (That's reality) but in more critical sites like buildings, toolbox meeting and wearing PPEs is a must.
I haven't been on site for 3yrs now, I really miss being on site.

Even in this video, it's not complete... I think this is the easier ones since the foundation is already built. At the time of construction, you have to clear the area, the vegetation, the rocks and whatnot, obviously it can be done with a backhoe or bulldozer. Then we have the builder's hut, they have to build those as well and the logistics of the equipment and resources, the storage. Then they build the foundation and the pillars, which will also require some metal work because of the rebars, I would assume that they do welding as well.
And this is for small projects, like residential houses like this. What more with residential buildings? They would need to assemble cranes, move large pieces of metal and everything. Build elevators. So many things.
This is why we should always respect the blue-collar workers, they're literally the backbone of any modern society.

This is quality content. To other foreigners who vlog about our country, take notes cause this is how you do it! Actually, don't, and just leave it to Jessica and her team to create quality content like this cause they do it best! Content like strolling the streets and giving away money to people is so uninspired. Kudos to the team for creating this "Trabaho" series. This is how you show the best (and the not-so-good side) of the Filipino work culture (and/or our culture in general). This series reminds me of "The Simple Life" but 1000% better and "Paulo From Tokyo's 'A Day in The Life...' series". Very informative and entertaining. I've been binge-watching it since yesterday. Please don't stop producing content, especially for this series.

As a girl, I remember experiencing being a construction worker at the age of 13-14 (during skul break). My dad was building our home and he needed a boy and since he didn't have another kid who's a boy aside from my older brother he treated me as one lmao so I did everything Jessica did here and more. It was so exhausting and after that day my whole body ache asf the work is a whole ass exercise. After doing it for days, I feel like my strength surge 📈💪
