+PrettyColorsDoe he definitely is the best :) and yes we are still together going onto 5 years! Thank you for the compliment and for watching..you can check out our vlogs on my channel as well
I absolutely loved this! Your hair is gorgeous & so are you, and you & your boyfriend are adorable! Also, I'm extremely jealous of how good you look in that nylon tricot high cut one piece swimsuit bc I foolishly bought the same one and look a damn mess lmao.
This video was very inspiring! I have just recently cut off my hair because the transitioning phase was not really working for me. My hair started breaking off really bad and it did not look good at all. This video is helping me have positive thoughts about the future with my natural hair!
omg you have inspired me so much .I have always wanted to do the big chop but am scared of how am going to look after that.but thanks to u i will do it
Glade u left that part in thats what made me identify with u. That was real. I was like Awww Ur still cute (talkin 2 the phone an ish) lol 😀thats why I subscribe. I want the truth.
Girl please nothing to be shy about you were slaying your natural hair GORGEOUS!!! i felt the same my first year wasn't used to short hair...your hair is BEAUTIFUL & that figure girl you're killing em LOL!!!😊👍 loved the video!!!
she was ROCKIN' the short and natural hair tho. Wish i had the courage to do a big chop, but for right now ima allow my hair to transition before i actually decide.
Tamms B hahaha thanks girl and i definitely understand what you mean. I look back at the pics and i think to myself "did i really chop off my hair THAT MUCH" lol
lmaoooo i miss that laugh of yours!!! your reaction to the hair cut off doee, lawllll ! loving your journey, back in the day when you swore up and down you'd never ever everrrrr stop w/ the perms ... this makes me happppyyy ^_^
Perpetual Comfy LOL bro, she said she was going to cut it off little by little...this girl cut off a big chunk! LOL. Thanks Jess, i cant believe how much its grown!
I absolutely love your hair!!! The way you be slaying! I've been transitioning for about a year and a few months but after watching this video imma just go ahead and chop it all off🙈
Very pretty! I'm thinking about going natural some time in the future. I'm hoping someone can answer this question though: In most of the videos I've watched, naturals frequently talk about heat damage and sometimes how after only just one application of heat made them get heat damage. Why does it seem so easy for naturals to get heat damage? Unless, maybe there are products that are used that fry it (like the wax you talked about)? I'm just curious because I'm relaxed, which should mean my hair is "weaker" since it's chemically processed, but I don't run into that problem--and if I see my ends are thin, I know I'm due for a trim. Is the damage just a change in your texture?
Alexia N I got heat damage just once and I think its because the lady i went to at the time doesn't have experience with natural hair. All the other times ive straightened my hair, my hair has been fine. Our hair is damaged when its permed too, thats why its so straight. Heat damage only mean thats our kinks are not as tight, kinky or curly. The pieces get weaker and straighter and have less protein in it and thats the same thing with permed hair. The only reason why you dont think your hair is damaged when its permed is because the perm makes it straight. Some people though have hair that looks really healthy when its permed and I feel like it really just depends on your hairs strength which differs per person. A lot of naturals i know go natural because their hair is so damaged from the perm so im not sure if people with thicker or stronger hair will have the same issues as someone without even when natural. Just make sure you use heat protectants, dont put the heat too high and dont apply direct to your air that often. I hope that answered your question
Thanks (: It makes sense. It made me a little worried that it seemed fairly easy to get heat damage on natural hair. But I guess with practice and knowing your hair, it's not a big deal.
What's the name of the song in this video? Thank you! Also, your hair is goals. I actually did the big chop last night. And I have no idea what to do with it!
did you take an y vitamins in the process ? How long after your big chop did you cover up your hair cut ? I recently cut my hair and im feeling so scared to rock it!?
+ajonye gabriella Just rock it girl! Fake your confidence until it comes out naturally- thats what I did. I did not take any vitamins and I never really covered up my hair cut...i just wore protective styles in the winter just because my scalp would get cold.
Alright alright. I had to stop the video. I can't watch any further than 1:40 without asking you to please transplant your body shape onto me. I know that sounds weird but i can't just come right out and say i want your body-that's too sketch.
Achok Alier the first day i went to school with my hair all cut off, i got the most compliments ever! Face your fears girl, be confident and own it and everyone else will have to accept it. Dress up your hair with accessories, if you feel like wearing make up etc and just have fun with it. Don't ever be shy to express and be who you are
Charnel Grey I'll be a freshman in highschool in August. It sucks that I can't do many styles since my hair is so short but thank you so much I'll definitely mess around with my new look .
Achok Alier I agree with Charnel, 100%! After I BC'd, I was a little nervous as to the response I would get from co-workers, friends etc. However, I have never felt more free than when I saw myself for the first time. I mean really saw myself for the first time...one word...empowerment. Be you girl, be you. If it helps, I have never received more compliments in my life than when I began to sport my Afro. Also, our brothers do support the natural look. As with most anything in life there will be exceptions but by in large our brothers support our desire to be our authentic selves. Most important is for you to BE YOU!
kiki love she stopped using CHEMICALS just because she straightened HER real hair doesn't mean it wasnt a natural hair journey she used wigs as a PROTECTIVE style for HER NATURAL UNCHEMICALLY PROCESSED HAIR
Erin Rudolph wigs as a protective style? Come up with something better than that. Because black women in the 70s didn't use wigs as a protective style. Her hair was not natural throughout a majority of the video. The definition of natural is: existing in or caused by nature; not made or caused by humankind. Though she had a misleading title, she is still beautiful nevertheless. I'm implying that was not a natural hair journey.
kiki love I didn't know you were being super technical lol but I was just saying at the end of the day she grew her hair back out with no perm. But in a literal sense of being completely natural you are right
kiki love I'm going to transition to natural. I think I might do the big chop when I'm one year post relaxer. But I realized that people who cut of their relaxed ends in one year had a really short Afro. What styles can I do when my Afro is that short? I know I can do box braids and Senegalese twists but what hairstyles can I do with just my hair alone?
Boyfriend goals lmao that was sweet what he said 💖
a supportive bf is always great
