Let me preface this comment by saying that I am a big Paige fan. I love what she’s doing with giggly squad and her recent interview with Marie Claire on being influential to millions of girls who listen to her was really beautiful and I hope she continues to follow this mentality because it’s so sad to see women give up everything they worked for and their independence for some guy (think Amanda).
I love how the girls rallied around Lindsay and really tried to empathize with her this season and tbh it was one of Paige’s best seasons because the girls were being girls girls to everyone not just their posse. When she immediately turns around on the reunion every season or in the after show with digs at her it all just seems very catty. I can’t imagine how upsetting that is for Lindsay thinking she finally has friends only to see interview with the constant digs at Lindsay when she doesn’t reciprocate. Not a good reflection of women supporting women. I’m not saying that she has to end her friendship with Carl but idk something about her constant need to give Lindsay’s 100x the hate that most of the boys should be receiving is bizarre. Lindsay’s no Angel obviously we’ve seen a lot, but she also has a lot of fucked up abandonment issues and it’s very visible and she shows a lot of it on screen, doesn’t hide it behind closed doors. something about her overly aggressive mean girl attitude about Lindsay is really disappointing every season. I know Lindsay isn’t exactly the easiest person to live with and has her own set of issues. She seems to be actively working on herself and has shown some real changes.
I think Amanda’s gonna be in for a world of hurt when her and Kyle eventually divorce and he turns that nastiness that he gives to Lindsay around on to her. the bravo network/Andy included/boys backing their bros and gaslighting and turning it on the women on the shows while minimizing their own involvement or taking any real accountability is a legit issue we’re seeing on several shows on the network. I think a larger conversation we need to look at is why as women we feel so comfortable easily forgiving the men for their disgusting behavior and crucifying the women. Just look at Amanda being Kyle’s mouthpiece on the reunion when he was anything but kind and respectful to her in both the show and on the aftershow. That’s why people enjoyed this season because it actually felt like for once on this network we saw women fighting the actual problems in their lives (the men) and standing together. Even the way amanda was presented as the whiny girl for seasons and Kyle was this rockstar workaholic. When in reality it seems like he’s way worse behind closed doors and she is a depressed lonely young woman stuck in an emotionally abusive relationship that she cannot get out of.
Our beloved captain Lee just recently came out publicly to comment on Carls dark side last year and heavily implied he thinks he’s using again. Lee is a previous mentor and was once a really great friend to Carl, as they both shared the loss of a loved one to addiction. I took this as him wanting to get people to get him some help because we’re not seeing what a loved one of an addict is seeing behind closed doors. Often addicts mask to the public and then lash out on the ones closest to them privately. Anyone who’s ever loved an addict knows this. I absolutely 100% believe Lindsay’s claims that Carl is a lot darker behind closed doors. And maybe his flip outs that made her accuse him of being on drugs were exactly what triggered her to say or think those things because the only time she’s seen him flip like that has been when he’s high on drugs. You can see it in his eyes. Remember the way he flipped on jules. It wasn’t just the drinking and drugs he has deep rooted issues. It’s sad that the women couldn’t for once just actually support another woman genuinely. Often times people in abusive relationships have to record their fights so that they don’t flip what they said or how they acted. It’s a very common tactic for abusers

Especially, when she was super drunk at the time of the accusations. I also think, you have a responsibility to not put yourselves in the situations that may trigger you. That includes, friends, relationships, locations, or situations that you know can make you vulnerable to your addiction. Unfortunately, I feel that’s the case with Lindsey & Carl. Cutting ties is the best medicine for them both to succeed in their lives.
West is the type of guy that doesn’t want to put in all this “work” with a woman without getting something in return a.k.a. getting laid and that is so deeply disturbing that he thinks he is owed something and that he actually put in work by giving her attention that is not work by any means. He’s lazy and selfish and thinking that he is owed sex by a woman is so disturbing. I will literally not watch the show if he is on it again.
The shower chat was actually so many things I think about regulary 😂 I once had a friend that was building a house and planned to only have a rain shower head and I had to say to her "are your sure? Have you tried one?" I find the trickle shit, I like a shower head I can take off and hold super close to me when I'm cold 😂 not to mention trying not to wet your hair. Also Ria I have been showering when drunk (unless smashed ofc) for the past couple of years and it's honestly life changing, I call it my hangover trick. It's the best shower and sobers you up right before bed and makes you feel fresh in the morning! I remember when someone first told me about it and I was thinking are you fucking crazy 😅 Everyone should try it 🤪

I do not know why it took me to season 8 to even start watching Summer and Winter House… but my fiancé and I both are binging together from the beginning. One week and we are at season 4! I honestly like all of the cast mates individually though not all of their actions all the time. Hey, I’m not Jesus or perfect though either! Rooting for all of these women to grow their friendships and come together again in season 9… it was refreshing. ❤❤❤

Yes we shower every day growing up before bed. Clean the day off you. You also get less sick. Change your clothes when you get home and shower once or twice a day. I shower twice on my cycle days. And I have to shower before getting in to bed.
