I hope SpanjBot refuses to be shut down. It would be entertaining to have The Mighty Spanj doing his usual narrative and the SpanjBot adding a little snark in the background.

100% agree with the item menu technique for salvaging ships. 3 hours pointing lasers is atrocious. Hopefully they add a "dismantle" bay like the repair bay to automate this in the future but i guess thats wishful thinking. Hope you feel better soon Spanj!

@@ian72marian the name escapes me at the moment but I was watching a YT vid a while back. It had to do with placing a block and designating where it went and it would deconstruct level by level into that container. It was so odd watching a ship being stripped like that. In the end only the core was left to harvest manually.
No server that I know of allows it and never tried it on single player.

Feel better sooner, but let the Spanjbot out from time to time. And leave the sarcasm level at 85%. Definitely going to use the "quick salvage" method in single player from now on.

Is this an artificial Voice generator? It sounds realy realy good.. could be the compainion AI in the game.. or the Voice of Gerald in your next playtrugh. A sidekick like someone do in an Empyrion playtrugh of Mia with a little Racoon ;)
Also the Hammerheads designflaws is not only to not have an Ammo Container (yes thats not forgotten :P)
The stylisch glasdoor on the growplot area is an other one.. i would strongly suggest to change it to airtight variant and put a small vent in the room.
If i am not mistaken the Retractable Turret (or the Miner) is NOT Airtight and you get a hullbreach in the Bridge Ceeling with it.
Since i dont use Toolturrets because the multitool is with the drone is fast enough i changed it to a forward solid mininglaser in the armor above.
This speeds up space mining by a lot and you can even steal quickly in enemy space what you need.
Even managed to find a place for 2 additionale cannon turrets on the top with 1 block spacing between in the middle for the laserbeam.
With 2 additional Turrets on the wings its not that bad anymore and you can switch the gatlings in the back to only shot drones and predators and enemy soldiers.
I had to use two different text to speech services, the first one ran out of useage and wanted to charge me $20 a month to continue using it, you can notice the slight voice change after the montage but their basically the same.
It is always nice to hear from the sarcastic SpanjBot, but I look forward to you feeling better Spanj!

I tried this technique on a crashed vessel. It's not for me as I enjoy breaking crap apart (think Dysmantle) though it did save a ton of time and I can see how a lot of people would prefer to do it this way. Also, once I open the console it's hard not to use it for something else. With the new drone bays it would be nice to be able to place one down and assign drones to salvage ships. I think it would look sweet to watch a bunch of drones taking a vessel apart.

Mhh sounds Like the Space cooties , make sure a few bandages and water to go with your med kit - you know how emypyrion status conditions balloon.
Can also delete a build (with ID) by using "setposition" with one of the dimensions out of border. Y (down) is maybe easiest if on a planet/moon.
Long time ago I suggested on the official forum that the Repair Console also had the opposite option too, to dismantle, with option if straight into BP factory or a target storage.

Yes I've been salvaging big ships /bases like that for years I'm not going to spend 3-5+ hours as you say dismantling a base/ship with the same result (and its boring ) hope you get well soon.
If you place the turret as a non retractable one it should work.
It does, I had to do that with the one I placed on my ship in order to get it working.
Hope you get to feeling better soon Spanj. I got a good chuckle out of that strange space disease the ship is spreading. Hopefully no kids ask their parents what that disease is. :)

i have found a lot of bugs that are random, like when using the wifi it blends some containers from other ships onto my main ship, and it only is fixed with a restart, and i can't replicate it, just happens sometimes.

multi turret works, just not in retractable form at least it's like that on RE
Nothing wrong with using the item menu. Save you the time. Least in single player. Salvaging isn’t fun and it’s hard for them to make it fun. I know you have said it in past series about the drop down simulator for looting All the boxes. Elion make it fun.
I was totally dissapointed in this episode. turning down sarcasm for the girlie Americans, i am Aussie and needed to be turned up to 200% and swearing also magnified 1000 lol.
