Welcome back to Inside the 20! I’m your host, Teigan Gray, and today we’re diving deep into the divisional round of the NFL playoffs. But first-Go Buckeyes! My Ohio State Buckeyes took home the national championship with a victory over Notre Dame. Let’s go, Buckeyes!
Now, back to the NFL. Let’s break down all the action from the divisional round:
Chiefs vs. Texans (23-14)
Kansas City advances to their 7th straight AFC Championship with a 23-14 win over Houston. The Chiefs’ defense dominated, racking up 8 sacks on C.J. Stroud, while Mahomes played it safe with just 177 passing yards.
Commanders vs. Lions (45-31)
The Commanders shocked the Lions in Detroit with a 45-31 win, earning their first NFC Championship appearance in 33 years. Rookie QB Jayden Daniels delivered a nearly flawless performance, while Detroit’s five turnovers sealed their fate.
Eagles vs. Rams (28-22)
Saquon Barkley ran wild, totaling 205 yards and two touchdowns in snowy Philadelphia as the Eagles secured their NFC Championship spot with a 28-22 victory. Despite a late Rams rally, Philly’s defense stepped up in the clutch.
Bills vs. Ravens (27-25)
In a game for the ages, the Bills edged out the Ravens 27-25. Josh Allen’s rushing ability and Buffalo’s defense proved critical in a nail-biting finish, as Baltimore’s Lamar Jackson struggled under pressure, and tight end Mark Andrews dropped a game-tying two-point conversion pass in the end zone.
Conference Championship Predictions
It’s Commanders vs. Eagles in the NFC, and Bills vs. Chiefs in the AFC. My picks? I’d love to see Washington and Buffalo pull off the upsets, but the road to victory won’t be easy.
