I'm in my 70's. I'm petite I love my skinny, tight jeans. Those big loose floppy pants are just too much fabric for my taste and slender body. Knowing what looks good on you is what is in style.
I agreed with all you said. I still have a couple of pair of Venus jeans with distressing, but it is barely noticeable, just two small areas near the front pockets, so keeping those. I never liked huge holes in jeans, thought they were dumb. Cold shoulders, I can take or leave, still have a couple of tops that are. I haven't been a slave to carrying a purse in about 20 years and don't miss having them, so I don't follow purse trends or any trends for that matter. I just like to stick with classics that look good no matter what is on trend. Now the thing I can't stand and wish would go away are the cropped wide leg jeans. Back in the day we called them flood water jeans. They just look so dumb in my opinion and everytime I see someone wearing them, I just shake my head and laugh. Like I said, just my opinion. Thanks for sharing and looking forward to your next video!
Hi Liz, agree about the cold shoulder tops and distressed jeans. Never liked the small handbags, especially the little Dior ones. I used to like logos on anything, now I can’t stand them. Strange how we change. lol❤
What makes me laugh is for every influencer telling us skinny jeans are out, there are two more that say they are making a comeback. They are still very in where I live.
@@StylishandGrateful Back in the early 70"s it was trendy to wear jeans with patches to cover up the holes or even where there were not any holes. The material we used to cover them up was colorful and in many patterns. It was just so "cool" to wear them. LOL
I have never worn skin-tight pants or jeans. They cling to every little bulge or flaw. A well fitting jean that skims the body is so much more flattering. It doesn't matter if they're straight, flared, or modetately wide leg. I have also never carried a mini handbag. They're silly.
I’m so glad that I never bought coordinating sets. I never liked them. I didn’t care that they were on trend and I got rid of my skinny jeans probably two years ago.
The worst offenders are the ones that do look like pajamas 😉 I can’t believe I loved skinny jeans so much at one point, loving the wide leg so much now.
No problem saying goodbye to most of these. I still love a good co-ord & always wear it with a 3rd layer to create a monochromatic look, one of my favourites. I still love my funny/Sasquatch T-shirts but usually wear them at home or for working out, they make me happy.
With the exception of the monochromatic ( neutrals) look, I’m glad to see those trends are no longer. I do have one pair of super comfy distressed jeans but I didn’t buy them that way. I’ve had them for years and they’re falling apart. The trend just made it ok for me to wear them in public., lol
Hi Liz! My closet needs a U-Haul truck! I got rid of all my skinny jeans, basically because they don't fit me anymore. Yikes. Done with distressed jeans. I like animal prints but in small doses. I dislike peplum tops. I'm short waisted, and they don't look good on me. Those sheer outfits are ridiculous. What can you put in a micro handbag? Definitely not practical. Cold should tops are so dated, and I never cared for them. I love the jeans that you are wearing. I agree with everything you said❣️🫶🥰
I confess I like the cold shoulder tops! Especially as we age. I want to be in style yet I like what I like! 🤷♀️so I just tend to wear what is comfortable for me. But I love you channel!💕
A trend I dislike immensely is the grandpa cardigan…sorry, and wide leg cropped pants or jeans…such a dumb look. And barrel jeans, omg they are hideous.

I totally get that! You rock what looks good on you and that’s the best style 😉
I like monochromatic looks, I will still wear!
Monochrome is not out, that’s classic. It’s exact match sets 😉

I agree on most, but I saw videos on other channels about sheer clothes trending in 2025, combined with intransparent layers.

I know! It’s so funny how our tastes change! 😊 But it’s ok to change our minds, means we’re open to learning and trying new things.👍💕

Thank god I hated those holey jeans
Unbelievable people paid extra for ripped up jeans 🙄😂

We've known all this since the beginning of the year, tell us something new and positive
Distress jeans is all over the runway for spring
Distresses jeans look trashy. I don’t care who’s wearing them.

Haven't seen a cold shoulder top in years.
They’re out there…

I think matching loungewear sets might still be in? I’ve seen other influencers still promoting them within the last month. But who knows
I’m sure they will be around for a while yet! Some take a long time to phase out like the distressed denim took forever!
Liz - You have earned a gold ⭐️for diplomacy!!! 😅 🙋♀️🥰👏👏👍‼️
Aww thanks!🙏 I’ll try to stay diplomatic 😂
Totally agree with all of these. 👍🏼
Haven’t the distressed and skinny jeans been out for at least a couple years now?
Yes, about two years. Yet they’re everywhere still. People wearing them and still sold in every store….
Micro bags are ridiculous imho! They maybe would be ok for dog treats.😊
😂😂
Always disliked the cold shoulder look.
Never liked the peplum
I didn’t even know what it was.
Me either, it’s still hanging on though. It’s not a look anyone will be happy looking back on…😂
Love your tips and videos!

@StylishandGrateful I love peplum because it balances out my narrow hips. I have a thin rectangle shape 😊
