just rewatched this just to revisit old videos. personal favorite was jury. but all of the editors did great. it honestly just depends on the type of person you are and what kind of editing style you like. some may like others better. but still a great video even a year later

Lynxi just had wayyy too much extra. Couldn't tell what was going on in the actual clip, since it was just nonstop cuts and popping around camera angles. Least favorite for sure.
My order is this but they’re all super close 2) absolutely love the music and the timing, love the style of editing as well, loved the closeups of the car, the start, middle and ending was insane and very enjoyable to watch 3) love that he added his own theme, has the cleanest transition of all the clips, and I love the unique style 5) the timing with the music was perfect, goal explosion close ups looked insane and loved the camera perspective he had on some clips 1) really liked the music he chose, love the cinematics and the slo mo after the goals, not too much editing on it but that’s good I like the simple but clean style
I agree that LittleCatsStep's was amazing but I disagree on your thoughts on Lynxi's. I found on par with CatSteps and not hard to follow. But either way good work to both of them :)
I agree with you Frank, sure its some cool editing but its too much.. Cant follow it at all. Sure its easy for people to say they can follow it after they have seen all the original clips but if you just received that video and that video only.. Alot of the "important" parts of the shots would be missed.
Or he just wants the job. I did that all the time to get customers. Then gradually raise it. I’m not an editor but it’s a basic business move. I like his the best for sure.
The money isnt always about the work on the specific edit, lets say hes daily job pays more then the others, then his time is more valueble and therefor charges more to make it worth his time :)

@@Ancestralsword8 I think what he was as meaning was say rn I'm working 6 to 7 days a week but I also have a second job I've unfortunately had to set aside until the quarantine ends. That is because the job I do now pays me 14 dollars a hour versus my second job paying me 12 a hour and the first one is giving me overtime making it over 20 a hour after 40 hours worked. So my hourly time that I would logically work for went from 12 to 14 dollars to 14 to 20 dollars so I don't work for the one that'll give me less. I'm sure Buck has alot of other things that pay him over 100 a day that's on a limb of he did the project in one day.
Honestly, I'd have to say Jury's was the best. The entire theme, the title screen including his other montages and including this one, the overall editing was cinematic. The double tap part where he literally wrote out "incoming double tap.mp4" was so cool because it wasn't just text, it was like he put it into the recording. I also kind of liked the title how it was 3-D, and how the whole montage started. The included elements of rewinding the clips and the editing between them was just so perfectly done, that you barely even notice that they transitioned into another clip. Plus, the transition editing into the Salty Shores clip was impeccable. Also the music was synced almost perfectly.
Inependable Doom Why would that take 8 years? He uses Cinema 4D to change the goal animation and slows it down. The other one is way harder. Looks more like you have 0 clue

i really like what buck did at 11:56 with the double fake. for the first fake theres a cut to a closer angle and for the second fake the camera gets closer to the ball. both times the viewer expects a shot as well as the opponent. very nice editing
The thing I like about Musty is that he's honest about using ideas that originally came from other youtubers and shouts them out and links their channel in the description. It's honestly such a refresher to see things like this instead of people stealing from others' content without even mentioning their name. Props to him!
@@Vaylon. Well, he can definitely do better, but if I wanted to buy a montage, I would definitely want the editor to give it his all, even if there was no contest. And doing a montage for Musty should be enough of an incentive to go the extra mile.
Haha yea, sometimes it’s hard to have a montage with shake so it looks cool but also not too much so it doesn’t look sloppy and you can also see the play and I think the editors in this video unsurprisingly did a great job with it
Zeke majorly underrated here. Everyone else tried too hard to make it an edit and not actually show the goals themselves which I think should be the most prominent part of the video. JurY was the only one to actually be creative while maintaining the essence of the shots where Zeke maintained almost all the essence of the shots but came up just a little short compared to the special theme and music tie in for JurY. Everyone else missed the mark at least for me and something i'd want to watch.
I do agree with you, but I think his color grading was just terrible. Way to much blue. But if you check edit per dollar I think he would've easily hit top 3
