Honestly, at that time I appreciated her as I thought she dealt with the issue subtly but not knowing that she was struggling BIG TIME. Im 27 yrs old now and I did not really mind on watching it even once 😅 only the Katrina halili video dumaan lang sa feed ko dati. Until now di ko pa rin napapanood. But I am heart broken to hear what she had gone through.

I currently needed to hear this right now.. im on the verge of depression and having anxiety attacks because i dont know how to do my work anymore. When the scandal hit, I already admired her then, so much, because I thought this woman carries a lot of inner strength. She silently endured her battles with grace. That's a lot for someone to go daily to work and face the world knowing the world is looking at you. I still remember during those times she attended a program night show in abs-cbn. Wow. The guts to be there knowing that all eyes and thoughts of other people were on her. That's why I admire her even then. She never said anything about it. What's there to say, anyway. She never explained to anyone, she doesn't owe anyone. And here she is, still as strong but with God in her life, stronger, wiser and with inner peace in her heart.

As a Christian I had so many realizations watching this interview, sometimes we thought we are righteous enough, and humble enough but what we don't notice is that sometimes we're becoming so proud that we easily can oversee the mistakes of others than our own mistakes, which is so bad but still GOD has given us chances to correct us and connect to us because his love is there no matter what

She was humble and honest enough to say that her life choices brought her to all the mess. I cried too when she acknowledges the grace of God who made her whole again. It is so true. She experienced Him in a personal way and there is nothing religious about that.
I experienced that too. I'm not the best, perfect person but I talked to God. I didn't trade anything I just opened my heart and I felt his love. "I once was lost but now I'm found" Whenever I am reminded of the painful experience I had, I go back to this line not because it is still painful but because I wanted to remember how God delivered me from it. He has always been there waiting for me but I denied myself of the free gift of salvation. He took me out of the sinful life I used to live. He gave me freedom I am enjoying now. God is preparing us for the life He planned for each one of us, the process may be painful but the outcome is victorious. To those who are in painful situations now, remind yourselves that it is not always like this, it will pass. Trust God's process of healing you and hold on to His words. He has plans for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you.

What struck me most during the interview was when Toni read Maricar's letter for herself....Grabe! Tagos sa puso talaga! Having attempted suicide 40yrs ago, I must admit that my life is still a mess and I feel like I'm facing a wall and I just don't know how to move forward....I just constantly remind myself:"This to shall pass!" This video definitely strengthened me and opened my eyes that Jesus loves me and will continue to heal me.

I was so touched and didn't even notice that I was crying while listening to how God saved her from everything and how He made her realize that she also had a fair share of what had happened. And because of that truth and genuine love from the Lord, she was whole again. I'm just here for the set design someone told me to look at their latest, and so I have watched the episode with Rochelle, and then I was touched by the interview with her while being amazed with the set, and so I decided to watch another one and I saw Maricar because I really like her face (ever since), and now I'm crying with her. Though our religion might be different, but I still value this moment as a reminder to me, to stop for a while and think about this, because I'm right now in the same sadness (but diff problem) but same feelings, and this is really a good reminder, not just to sink in myself to work to forget.
When she tells the story of the teacher and the tax collector, it hits home for me. I've reached a point in my life where I compare my circumstances to those of others and wonder how they are more fortunate than I am. How are people more prosperous than me when I think that I deserve it more? We might think that we are better than the others or that they have committed more sin than us, but that's not what he sees. God sees what's in our hearts and how we present ourselves to him.

4months ago and still binabalik balikan ko story ni Ms. Maricar. It still makes me cry. Nakakainis lang, naka ilang uwi na ako pinas lagi sold out yung book niya. Gusto ko namnamin yung mga words nya and really curious about it. When i feel down or sad i just go back to this video of her to relieve pain knowing that there is one that is listening to you which is God.
I cried through the whole thing. It was such a beautiful moment to see someone not flinching from the owning up to her life choices. And that moment God found her and turned her life around. She wentvthroigh the arduous process of healing spiritually, getting that closervrelationship with God, preparing her for a better place for her to be at. It was such a beautiful story.

Honestly, at that time I appreciated her as I thought she dealt with the issue subtly but not knowing that she was struggling BIG TIME. Way back, i really thought she was not affected that much, kasi wala syang reaction tsaka lalo sya sumikat after the scandal. I never imagined grabe pala ang epekto sa kanya. Bilib lang ako na she still managed to compose herself in front of the camera even if may pinagdadanan sya... I'm her fan! I'm happy that she finally broke her silence and shared her side of story. I'm not one of those who watched the scandal videos. Her silence amidst the chaos was very admirable. I'm glad that she had a strong support system when it happened and her experience led her in the arms of God who healed, restored, and transformed everything in her life. This is the second time that I watched the interview and everytime, it made me cry. I just ordered her book online. I felt that it was one of the books that I will treasure bec. of the life lessons. When the scandal hit, I already admired her then, so much, because I thought this woman carries a lot of inner strength. She silently endured her battles with grace. That's a lot for someone to go daily to work and face the world knowing the world is looking at you. I still remember during those times she attended a program night show in abs-cbn. Wow. The guts to be there knowing that all eyes and thoughts of other people were on her. That's why I admire her even then. She never said anything about it. What's there to say, anyway. She never explained to anyone, she doesn't owe anyone. And here she is, still as strong but with God in her life, stronger, wiser and with inner peace in her heart.

I had moments in life where I also felt I was the victim. Same with Maricar, I realized it's my own doing too. Can't blame anybody but myself. Only in God can we find the true meaning of unconditional love and acceptance.

Healing really starts with honesty with once self
She was humble and honest enough to say that her life choices brought her to all the mess. I cried too when she acknowledges the grace of God who made her whole again. It is so true. She experienced Him in a personal way and there is nothing religious about that.

I experienced that too. I'm not the best, perfect person but I talked to God. I didn't trade anything I just opened my heart and I felt his love. It's true what Maricar says she's not crying about what happened to her, she's crying because she feels God loves her.

"I once was lost but now I'm found"
Whenever I am reminded of the painful experience I had, I go back to this line not because it is still painful but because I wanted to remember how God delivered me from it. He has always been there waiting for me but I denied myself of the free gift of salvation. He took me out of the sinful life I used to live. He gave me freedom I am enjoying now. God is preparing us for the life He planned for each one of us, the process may be painful but the outcome is victorious.
To those who are in painful situations now, remind yourselves that it is not always like this, it will pass. Trust God's process of healing you and hold on to His words. He has plans for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you.
I am glad that Maricar Reyes-Poon was finally interviewed by Toni. Her life testimony is something that should be shared and shared many times over, because it is a testament that we have a loving God who delivers people from pain and heals wounded hearts.

What struck me most during the interview was when Toni read Maricar's letter for herself....Grabe! Tagos sa puso talaga! Having attempted suicide 40yrs ago, I must admit that my life is still a mess and I feel like I'm facing a wall and I just don't know how to move forward....I just constantly remind myself:"This to shall pass!" This video definitely strengthened me and opened my eyes that Jesus loves me and will continue to heal me.

I was so touched and didn't even notice that I was crying while listening to how God saved her from everything and how He made her realize that she also had a fair share of what had happened. And because of that truth and genuine love from the Lord, she was whole again. I'm just here for the set design someone told me to look at their latest, and so I have watched the episode with Rochelle, and then I was touched by the interview with her while being amazed with the set, and so I decided to watch another one and I saw Maricar because I really like her face (ever since), and now I'm crying with her. Though our religion might be different, but I still value this moment as a reminder to me, to stop for a while and think about this, because I'm right now in the same sadness (but diff problem) but same feelings, and this is really a good reminder, not just to sink in myself to work to forget.

Maricar is one of the many beautiful faces in showbusiness that i admire, when her scandal came, i was surprised and my perception of her changed. I waited for her response but she kept quiet, she continued life..then that made me realize that she's such a graceful woman. ❤❤ It taught me to shrug away little things, drama etc. Life is not perfect, problems come and go and this is exactly a good response to starting life over again when u feel like the whole world is crushing u down. I got glued with this Maricar's interview. It should be watched by those "perfectionist" and the once made a bad decisions or mistake or sins...there is a way out. Very inspirational.
I'm so touched. Maricar is such a sweet and gentle soul. Despite the negativity and criticism thrown at her over the years, she turned that pain into inspiration to keep moving forward. An inspiration to many, especially young women out there who battle self esteem issues and past traumas. She is an example of rising above painful circumstances through surrendering all your pain and worries to God.

What is bad? Its mostly how people perceive is wrong in what you do that do not agree with their values and beliefs. When it hurts others and yourself is what is bad. I remember when the scandal was freshly out, Maricar's silence was the most impressive. She was able to handle it with grace. And when she was ready to be interviewed about it, she was so good at shifting the energy to her craft as an actress, as a woman of high value inspite of her imperfections. Super astig ng gurl na to! 4months ago and still binabalik balikan ko story ni Ms. Maricar. It still makes me cry. Nakakainis lang, naka ilang uwi na ako pinas lagi sold out yung book niya. Gusto ko namnamin yung mga words nya and really curious about it. When i feel down or sad i just go back to this video of her to relieve pain knowing that there is one that is listening to you which is God.
I cried through the whole thing. It was such a beautiful moment to see someone not flinching from the owning up to her life choices. And that moment God found her and turned her life around. She wentvthroigh the arduous process of healing spiritually, getting that closervrelationship with God, preparing her for a better place for her to be at. It was such a beautiful story.
