Not necessarily. Thirty-five years ago, we moved from VA to CA with an infant. He was tucked into a car seat; we had coolers with his bottles on ice and a bottle warmer that plugged into a cigarette lighter. Diaper-changing (with Pampers, fairly new at the time) was a snap and we made the trip in 2 1/2 days.

It is not like in New York, where there are so many different Chinese cultural people and regional Chinese food restaurants mostly in Queens unlike in Manhattan and Brooklyn where the Chinese population and it's businesses are overwhelmingly Cantonese and Fuzhou. I know how you love Shanghainese and northern Chinese food and diverse regional Chinese foods so much as i have seen in your videos. But I am pretty sure you will find interesting adventures in San Francisco

OH! YUM! Good journey! Take the northern route across the USA, people are friendly up there, un like the central route. On route one other option is to find the micro pockets of US Chinese culture that can be found. As an lol, Try some Montana style American Chinese food? It is a good reason to pull out the camera and eat across America. Enjoy!
