    This concept only after crossing earths field , becz in earths field of gravitation ,the external force (gravity ) acts in x direction hence velocity of COM is not constant but decreasing continuously , linear momentum will not be conserved

    suppose a rocket moves under the influence of no external forces suppose initial mass of rocket is m' and initial speed is v' exhaust speed is u prove at a later time speed of rocket is v=v'+uln(m'÷m) ?
    Sir plz solve this numerical

    If rocket have kinetic energy more than potential energy on earth, It will leave the earth's atmosphere, that's true. BUT my question is that " If direction of rockets's prapogation towards the centre of earth , then what would happen?

    Rockets do not work on the mass principle. they work on the pressure principle. . the mass is irrelevent. If you can create high pressure with less mass , then all the better.

      This is false. MOMENTUM is MASS times VELOCITY (P = M x V)
      So you can get high MOMENTUM with either high mass and low velocity OR low mass and HIGH VELOCITY.
      A rocket engine expels low mass at REALLY HIGH VELOCITY creating a RECOIL FORCE that pushes the rocket forward.
      Lets leave the thinking to the people that bothered to finish high school, and not a goat herder with the intellect of a five year old.

      @@stuartgray5877 Rockets do not work on momentum. You fool. Rockets work on pressure. ALL rockets create a high pressure area behind the rocket to propel it into the lower pressure area in front of it........the end.
