What type of hook and size? How many ounces on weight? Great vid.

Size 7/0 circle hook. 3oz weight but the weight depends on the current that day we had strong wind.

What kind of rod n reel is best to use out there?

Depends what you are targeting. If you like reds size 10,000 reel with 40lb braid and heavy medium rod works good.

Yes 9 feet is good and for reds 40lb braid is plenty strong
