  • On a very late and foggy night, on Sunday the 23rd of June. The Long Island steel train sent down their usual evening train to Hastings. Except today wasn't such an ordinary train... T class locomotive T392 was put on the train, to be swapped with the current Y class working at the steel mill as a yard pilot. This rare occurrence took many by surprise, especially being so late. I was just lucky to live locally and able to head out at the time to capture this rare Long Island steel train. For myself, this is the first time I've seen anything besides G's or BL's on the Long Island.

The lead locomotive is G525 judging by the horn, and in the first minute of the video, you can hear the driver blasting the horn for the Robinsons Road and Golf Link Road crossings further up the line. I absolutely love the eerie atmosphere in this video, with the dark, foggy night and the horn in the distance!
