Thanks for the detailed video. My 2013 Impreza electrical connector has a squeeze-clip. The screwdriver trick and any amount of tugging will not work. For me, I first rotated the connector counter-clockwise to remove it from the frame and then I disconnected it from the cable (rather than the other way round). Squeeze the squeeze-clip with thumb and index finger. Also, a point to emphasize, as opposed to say the tail light, the headlight bulb is NOT removable from the connector housing. When you go to buy a new bulb, you will be sold the bulb and connector as a single unit. The guy in the auto parts store told me lots of people bring the connector in saying they cannot get the bulb out of it. He tells them not to feel bad - the bulb does not come out.
Thank you! Another video I watched didn’t show how to disconnect the bulb from the connector. I was having trouble with that step until I found ur video. Thank you!
this is a great video, all the extra details are perfect. even "take the load off the prop rod" sure I might not have needed it, but maybe someone will!
Nice video. Clear instructions. One thing, though, make sure to wear gloves when handling these bulbs. Oil from fingers will lead to premature failure.
This saved me a trip to the dealership and now I can add changing headlight bulbs to the list of fixes I can do myself! Thank you!
