Knowing he isnt being helped, is crying, self deprecating, and overall just downtrodden helps me sleep peacefully.

It’s probably so he can hide recording devices in it when he goes to the hospital. Actual thing that’s happened.

I actually remember that F4 tornado he talks about on May 31st, 1985. I was living in Pennsylvania about 50 miles south of Jamestown. It was a chain of massive tornadoes all across the northeastern part of the country. The tornado that hit us was literally 1.5 miles wide. It wasn't a funnel cloud but a wall of wind that went up and over and down the rugged terrain like it wasn't there. The scar it left on the land didn't heal for some 30 years. I was just finishing up my 10th grade year - they ended up cancelling the rest of the school year. My town lost eight people - including four people in the same car. The death toll may have been much much higher -- but as luck would have it, most of the town was attending a retirement party for three of our teachers who had been there so long they had taught most of my mom's side of the family -- including my mom. Fortunately, the restaurant/venue where this was being held fell well outside of the tornado's path. So yeah, have to say that Andrew Poopsquatch was spot-on accurate about that tornado even though he could not have been in it himself.

    Ahhhh, Poopsquatch....
the memories flood back in like a saturated Crinklz!!
He whines and cries about how "smart" he is.
SO smart he can't put a bag of trash in the garbage can.
So smart he can't poop on a toilet.
Better re-evaluate your intelligence level, Andy.
None of this says 'smart' to me.

I think that's the most telling thing. Everybody points out his inability to maintain consistency in his mannerisms, etc. I think that him going "I have NO ability to care for myself, I can't do anything by myself!" to "Take me here, I wanna go here. I wanna go home. I want to be discharged, let me go. Am I detained? I'm free to leave, I'm leaving this place." in the same conversation is insane.
It's why I was so happy with the Newfane stint because they were like "well you said you have no agency over yourself so no, you're staying here."

He needs to throw away garbage but he “forgets” then says all he does is sleep all day because he has “nothing to do.”
So I’m guessing that fabled Gwoop Home is going to have a maid/trash valet service now too?

I think the chief issue with Andy is that he wants to have his cake and eat it too. He switches from baby mode to lawyer mode because he wants to be taken care of like he’s completely incapable of making his own decisions or physically doing things for himself, but also wants to agency and decision making that capable adults are able to make. Andy acts like he’s incapable of crossing the street by himself and needs his diapers changed, but will also read out his “rights”, make threats of lawsuits, and knows fully well when his specific needs are being violated (which is usually just others setting boundaries) and has the capacity to recognize abuse and legality. If Andy were as incapable as he claims, then he shouldn’t pull the card of “I’m an adult, you can’t force me to go places”, because if he were under the care of his parents he would lack many of the freedoms adults have, such as unsupervised travel or the ability to walk out of appointments.
To me, he clearly just wants attention, from ANYBODY. If he can’t get it from his family, he tries to get it from the police, or the online trolls. He can’t go without someone’s focus on him.

It’s not autism but his Mom failed him by enabling his behaviour, justifying his excuses for him and not preparing him for adulthood. That’s not a disability but it stunted his emotional development. He never developed coping skills as a child because he never had to. He was allowed to have tantrums because he did not want to go to school and got rewarded by being allowed to stay home. By the way, Daniel Larson was failed in the same way, though he is legitimately mentally ill. He didn’t want to sit in class? Mom got him labeled and he was all of a sudden allowed to walk around during lessons. They had to “accommodate” his needs. If he did not like the texture of something, his mom forced everyone to make sure he avoided it, instead of making him get used to the texture gradually.
He did not learn to manage his own time or emotions. *These things are not his fault.*
Unfortunately no one has time to teach someone how to “adult” if you’re not capable of it at 18 and we cannot accept his temper tantrums and violent behaviour. I feel like they all tried to help him clean himself, feed himself, etc. but he wants to be waited on and treated like his mother did.
We have absolutely no services for shitty parenting that leads to stunted emotional development. There is no medication to fix his attitude towards entitlement and expectations. This is instilled during childhood by parents. *You are preparing your child for adulthood! The system did not fail him, his parents failed him.*

Actually he was a well functioning adult. I don't know what he was like as a kid. But he actually did technical shit and weather predictions. But after his car wreck he changed and he was convinced he had autism. From some of the videos like kiwi tapes. So if that is accurate then it wasn't his families fault.

I loathe Janet Ditch. From what I have gathered, not only is a lot of Andy's nonsense her fault, but it's also a great deal of her fault that Tom's other kids are estranged from him. Apparently, Janet was jealous of Tom's ex-wife and their son, Michael(he was a healthy, normal kid). Those horrible allegations against Michael started from Janet. The years of drama and hurt from her eventually led to Michael and Danielle(Tom's daughter from his ex-wife, Michael's sister) cutting off contact with Tom & Janet. Michael and Danielle are both successful, well-adjusted individuals who work and contribute to society. Janet's kids are both useless messes who contribute nothing except more junk to that repulsive dump known as the Ditch residence. I'm obviously being a little biased here. It's hard to take Andy and his mother's side when I see how dysfunctional and screwed up that family is.
