Jumps are a very important part of my power training, and standing long jump, also called broad jump is a very good way to train lower body explosiveness.
Anyway, more than in other types of jumps, in the broad jump, the technique plays a very big role, thus it is very important to focus the training on both leg power and form of execution.

I've been doing these every day for a couple years and usually jump about six and a half feet per jump. This guys technique is great!

I usually do a few jumps in the park after some light exercise & stretches I do for hockey. You’ve inspired me to start measuring. I’m somewhere ~100 inches, not too bad for >50.
I am at 2,65. Measured for the first time ever. Hope to reach 3m.

My dad used to do tracks,and his standing long jump pb is 3.09m.I hope that one day I can break that through training 🦵

how many days per week you do broad jump?
i broad jump quite rarely, I usually do it for like 2 weeks (2 times a week), 3 times a year. In between these quarterly sessions I train legs power and strength, also box and vertical jumps, stability, and hip flexibility, which help to improve broad jump.
What kind of practice did u do
Box jumps, and squat jumps mostly
