Had the same 118 code after many years of use. Opened the back and cleaned the accumulated grease off the cooling fan with a toothbrush and soapy water and all is well.

Hello, i recently bought a Bosch oven and i have the same error code. We had an older unit in place and we did not connect a neutral. Do i need to update the outlet?

Hello sorry for a varry late response you should up date you out let the white wire is Necessary to operate some of the functions of the oven. The neutral wire / white wire is very important.

The oven will not even turn on now apparently I have to reset the display board because it’s to new to work with main board . There is supposed to be some sort of reset procedure.
